Linthicum station

Turkey Hill is a historic home at Linthicum Heights, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, United States. It was built about 1822 by William Linthicum. Originally the house consisted of a 1+1⁄2-story frame section and a three-story field stone section linked together by an open porch. As the family increased in size, Linthicum added another story to the frame portion, making it two and a half stories high. Also on the property is a birdhouse, modeled after Camden Station in Baltimore City; a late-19th-century carriage house; a late-19th-century meathouse; and an early-20th-century garage also stand on the property.Turkey Hill was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Linthicum Heights Historic District is a national historic district at Linthicum Heights, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. It consists of a suburban community surrounding the intersection of Camp Meade Road (MD 170) and Maple Road. The community is situated on a series of low hills about three miles south of the Patapsco River and includes 17 tree-shaded streets created originally as a planned railroad suburb on the lines connecting Baltimore, Annapolis, and Washington, beginning in 1908. The district consists of 254 contributing resources, including two churches, a cemetery, and a former commercial/residential building. Most of the housing was built prior to 1939 and include examples of the Bungalow, American Foursquare, Colonial Revival, Dutch Revival, and Tudor Revival styles.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

Linthicum is a census-designated place (CDP) and unincorporated community in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, United States. The population was 10,324 at the 2010 census. It is located directly north of Baltimore–Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI). Designated as "Linthicum Heights" and zip code 21090 by the U.S. Postal Service, Linthicum has been traditionally divided into two distinct communities each with its own community association and identity. These two communities, split by the Baltimore Beltway in 1957, are Linthicum and North Linthicum (or, alternatively, Linthicum-Shipley and North Linthicum.) Both communities developed as a result of their locations adjacent to the Baltimore and Annapolis Short Line railroad which brought commuters to the original truck farming community. As a developed community, Linthicum began with the 1908 founding of the "Linthicum Heights Company", though a "Linthicum" or "Linthicum's" station on the 1887 Annapolis and Baltimore Short Line railroad existed at least as early as 1889. The community's name was from the area's primary land-owning family since an 1801 purchase by Abner Linthicum.The Linthicum Heights Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

Twin Oaks is a historic home at Linthicum Heights, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, United States. The house is a 2+1⁄2-story brick Greek Revival–influenced dwelling constructed in 1857, with additions and Neo-Classical embellishments made in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The final composition is an eclectic, Georgian Revival–influenced dwelling. Twin Oaks was the home of U.S. Congressman John Charles Linthicum, who is noted for sponsoring the legislation which established The Star-Spangled Banner as the United States National Anthem. He entertained many dignitaries at Twin Oaks, including William Jennings Bryan and General Douglas MacArthur. Also on the property are a Victorian birdhouse, an aviary, a columned grape arbor, two freestanding concrete-cast columns, and a few pieces of statuary.Twin Oaks was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

North Linthicum station is a Baltimore Light Rail station in Linthicum Heights, Maryland. There are currently 347 free parking spaces at this station. No bus connections can be made from here.This station is the penultimate station on the light rail's trunk line that is shared by trains of both the Hunt Valley – BWI Marshall line and the Hunt Valley – Cromwell line. Both lines depart onto branches to BWI Marshall Airport station and Glen Burnie station south of the Linthicum station.

North County High School is an Anne Arundel County Public Schools high school located in Glen Burnie, Maryland, United States. The school was established in 1990 as a result of the merger of Andover High School and Brooklyn Park High School. It later moved into the former Lindale Junior High School building, with Lindale moving to the former Andover site. The school mascot is the Knight and the school colors are silver, red and black, chosen by the school students and faculty of both Andover and Brooklyn Park High Schools. North County's rival is Glen Burnie High School. It is the primary high school for students living in Linthicum, Brooklyn Park, Ferndale, and portions of the Glen Burnie and Hanover areas. North County High School has a rigorous STEM Magnet Program, and the IT3 (International Trade, Transportation, and Tourism) Signature Program. The school has a multitude of college course offerings such as Advanced Placement. North County became one of the campuses for Anne Arundel Community College in 2012. In 2016, North County High School German teacher, Katrina Griffin, was named the 2017 National Language Teacher of the Year by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages.

Pumphrey is an unincorporated community and former census-designated place (CDP) in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, United States. At the 2000 census, the population was 5,317. It was split between the Linthicum and Brooklyn Park CDPs for the 2010 census.

The William P. Didusch Center for Urologic History is a museum and the headquarters of the American Urological Association in Linthicum, Maryland. It is described as encompassing "a rich and varied collection of drawings, photographs, and instruments of historical importance to urology, many displayed in the urological exhibits during the American Urological Association (AUA) conventions."

Sunnyfields is a historic home at Linthicum Heights, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, United States. It is partially brick, two and a half stories tall and three bays wide, and was built in 1810. The east portion is of frame construction, six bays long, and two stories high and dates from about 1785. It has characteristics from several periods of Maryland architecture: pre-Federal vernacular (original frame wing), high style Federal (brick wing), and early-20th century mass-produced Classical Revival (columns and stair added in pre-Federal portion).Sunnyfields was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

BWI Business District station is a Baltimore Light Rail station in the BWI Business District, north of the Baltimore-Washington International Airport in Linthicum, Maryland. There are currently 36 free public parking spaces and connections can be made to MTA Maryland's Route 17 and 99 buses, and Howard Transit's Silver Route from this station. Additionally, portions of the BWI Trail can be found across the street from the parking lot.

The BWI Business District is a neighborhood and business district in Linthicum and Hanover that features over 11,000 hotel rooms and numerous office parks and shopping centers. As the name suggests, the business district is benefited by nearby Baltimore/Washington International Airport. The district comprises two distinct areas: West Nursery to the north of Interstate 195 and Stoney Run to the south. The West Nursery District includes the original Hotel District, the Friendship Annex of the National Security Agency, the Maryland Aviation Administration, and the National Electronics Museum. The Stoney Run District includes the BWI Amtrak/MARC Rail Station, the BWI Rental Car Return Center, and the headquarters of the Maryland Department of Transportation.
