St Nicholas' Church, Islip is the Church of England parish church of Islip, Oxfordshire, a village about 3 miles (5 km) east of Kidlington and 5 miles (8 km) north of Oxford.

Woodeaton Quarry is a 7.3-hectare (18-acre) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest north of Oxford in Oxfordshire. It is a Geological Conservation Review site.This site exposes a sequence of rocks dating to the Middle Jurassic around 167 million years ago belonging to the Great Oolite Group, spanning the Chipping Norton Limestone, Sharp's Hill, Taynton Limestone, Rutland, White Limestone, and Forest Marble formations. It exhibits one of the most complete Bathonian sections in the county, and is described by Natural England as "of great palaeontological and sedimentological interest".

Noke is a small village and civil parish in Oxfordshire about 5 miles (8 km) northeast of Oxford. It is on the southeast edge of Otmoor and is one of the "Seven Towns of Otmoor". The toponym is derived from Old English and means "at the oak trees". The parish still has two woodlands: Prattle Wood about 500 yards (460 m) southwest of the village, and Noke Wood about 1 mile (1.6 km) to the southeast.

Ploughley was a rural district in Oxfordshire, England, from 1932 to 1974. It entirely surrounded Bicester but did not include it. It was created in 1932 from parts of the abolished Bicester Rural District, Headington Rural District and Woodstock Rural District, along with a couple of non-urban parishes from Bicester urban district. In 1974 it was abolished under the Local Government Act 1972 and now forms part of the Cherwell district.

Oddington Halt was a railway station on the Varsity Line 1 mile (1.6 km) northwest of the village of Oddington, Oxfordshire. The London and North Western Railway opened the halt in 1905 and the London, Midland and Scottish Railway closed it in 1926.

Hampton Poyle is a village in the civil parish of Hampton Gay and Poyle, in the Cherwell district, in the county of Oxfordshire, England. It is the Cherwell in valley, about 1 mile (1.6 km) northeast of Kidlington and about 5 miles (8 km) north of the centre of Oxford. Hampton Poyle was a separate civil parish of 807 acres (327 ha) until 1 April 1932, when it was merged with the neighbouring parish of Hampton Gay. In 1931 the parish had a population of 80.
