Flamingo Gardens

Pioneer City was an Old West theme park located across the street from Flamingo Gardens in Davie, Florida. The park was opened on Memorial Day weekend 1966 by photography studio magnate Myron M. "Mike" Weiss, Sr. as a built-to-scale Dodge City, Kansas, complete with a saloon, general store, Pony Express office, opera house and casino, undertaker, and barber shop, highlighted by cowboy actors who staged gunfights at high noon.

Long Key Natural Area and Nature Center is a protected area with trails and rental facilities in Broward County, Florida. The 157 acre park is managed by Broward County Parks and Recreation. It was established in 2008. The area's ecology includes elevated oak hammock.It is at 3501 SW 130th Avenue in Davie, Florida. Funding for construction of the nature center and boardwalk was part of a $400 millions bond measure in Broward County.

Archbishop Edward A. McCarthy High School (abbreviated AMHS) was opened in 1998 in Southwest Ranches, Florida, United States. Sponsored by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Miami, it is accredited through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Named after the second Archbishop of Miami, Edward A. McCarthy, the school's mascot is the Maverick. The founding principal of the school was Dr. Richard Perhla. Students wear a uniform consisting of a solid white or light blue shirt, AMHS khaki slacks, a black leather belt, black shoes, and a student ID with AMHS lanyard. As of the 2019–2020 school year, there are 1,700 students enrolled in grades nine through twelve. Since 2005 AMHS has been named one of the Top 50 Catholic Schools in the nation by the Catholic High School Honor Roll and is a part of the Catholic Education Honor Roll for 2018–2023. Archbishop McCarthy is an Apple Distinguished School. AMHS has received Innovations in Catholic Education from Today's Catholic Teacher.

Sunshine Acres is a former census-designated place (CDP) in Broward County, Florida, United States. The population was 827 at the 2000 census. The area is now a neighborhood within the town of Davie.

Southwest Ranches is a town in Broward County, Florida, United States. It is a suburban community part of the Miami metropolitan area and is located on the eastern edge of the Everglades, 15 miles (24 km) southwest of Fort Lauderdale and about 22 miles (35 km) northwest of Miami. It is unusual in that it consists of three non-contiguous areas, albeit they are in close proximity; the two largest being separated by 1,455 feet (0.443 km). It became the county's 30th incorporated place in 2000 to avoid annexation into Pembroke Pines and to preserve its semirural lifestyle. Because the area has many horse ranches and is located in the southwestern part of Broward County, residents chose "Southwest Ranches" over other potential town names. The population at the 2020 census was 7,607. The town includes the former census-designated places of Country Estates, Green Meadow, Ivanhoe Estates, Rolling Oaks, and Sunshine Ranches (as well as subneighborhoods Landmark Ranch Estates and Sterling Ranch Estates), all of which are now Southwest Ranches neighborhoods. To support its rural-equestrian lifestyle, the town has developed many equestrian trails.

Florida's 23rd congressional district is an electoral district for the U.S. Congress, located in the Greater Miami area and covering parts of Broward County and southern Palm Beach County. In the 2020 redistricting cycle, it was drawn as a successor to the previous 22nd district and includes Boca Raton, Coral Springs, most of Deerfield Beach and Fort Lauderdale, and parts of Pompano Beach. The previous iteration of the 23rd district, which included Davie and Pembroke Pines, was instead renamed the 25th district. The district, along with two other districts in Greater Miami, has one of the highest concentrations of Jewish Americans, consisting of about 16% of the electorate.Florida's 23rd congressional district was created after the 1990 U.S. census. Democrat Alcee Hastings was elected in the first election for the district in 1992 until being redistricted to the 20th congressional district in 2013. From 2003 to 2013, the former 23rd district consisted of a major part of Broward County and parts of Palm Beach county. The district included Pompano Beach, Boynton Beach, and Belle Glade. From 2013 to 2023, the district included cities such as Weston, Davie, Pembroke Pines, and Aventura, as well as Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport and Nova Southeastern University. The district is currently represented by Democrat Jared Moskowitz.

Horseback riding is common, as much of its historic buildings include ranches and other Western establishments.

Western High School is a High school located in Davie, Florida, serving students in grades 9 through 12. The school, which opened in 1981, is a part of the Broward County Public Schools district. The principal is Jimmy Arrojo. The school's mascot is the Wildcat, and the official colors are Black and Vegas Gold. Western High received a Florida Department of Education school grade of "A" for the 2019 academic year.Its attendance boundary includes the following areas: most of Davie, portions of Sunrise, and Weston.

Sunshine Ranches is a former census-designated place (CDP) in Broward County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,704 at the 2000 census. It was incorporated into the town of Southwest Ranches, Florida in 2000, and now serves as a neighborhood.

Cooper City is a city in Broward County, Florida, United States. The city is named for Morris Cooper, who founded the community in 1959. It's part of the Miami metropolitan area of South Florida. The city's population was 34,401 at the 2020 census.In 2006, Cooper City expanded with the annexation of the Waldrep Dairy Farm.

Young At Art Museum (YAA) is an interactive art museum in Plantation, Florida, founded in 1987. Founded by Esther and Mindy Shrago, Young At Art traveled South Florida for two years as a Museum Without Walls, opening in 1989 in a 3,200 sq. ft. storefront in Plantation, Florida. Young At Art relocated to Davie in 1998, moving into a 24,000 sq. ft. leased space. With federal, state, county, town and community support - and through a public/private partnership with Broward County - Young At Art opened a new 55,000 sq. ft. Gold LEED museum and public library on May 5, 2012, named by the Knight Foundation "as one of the most transformative arts initiatives in South Florida." In September 2020, Broward County ended Young at Art's lease due to the organization owing the county $803,932. In March 2021, the museum reopened at the Broward mall.

Ivanhoe Estates was a census-designated place (CDP) in Broward County, Florida, United States. It is located in the Miami metropolitan area. The population was 279 at the 2000 census. It's now a community incorporated into Southwest Ranches, Florida in 2000. Ivanhoe Estates is part of the larger Ivanhoe neighborhood that is split between Southwest Ranches and southwestern Davie, and includes the other Ivanhoe communities, in neighboring Davie, of Hawkes Bluff, Falcon's Lea, Waterford, Cross Bow, and Waverly Hundred, as well as the Les Chateux, Sheridan Glen, The Enclave, and Chelsea at Ivanhoe communities.
