Salginatobel Bridge is a reinforced concrete arch bridge designed by Swiss civil engineer Robert Maillart. It was constructed across an alpine ravine in the grisonian Prättigau, belonging to the municipality of Schiers, in Switzerland between 1929 and 1930. In 1991, it was declared an International Historic Civil Engineering Landmark, the thirteenth such structure and the first concrete bridge so designated.As with his Schwandbach Bridge and Vessy Bridge, the structure's fame among civil engineers is a consequence of the techniques involved and the elegance of its design rather than its prominent location: it connects the village Schiers – on valley floor of the route between Landquart and Davos – with the alpine hamlet Schuders of almost 100 people, where the alpine post road ends, but is often visited by designers.

The Schesaplana (German pronunciation: [ʃezaˈplaːna]) is the highest mountain in the Rätikon mountain range at the border between Vorarlberg, Austria and Graubünden, Switzerland. It has an elevation of 2,964.3 m (9,725 ft). On the north side of the Schesaplana is a glacier called Brandner Gletscher. To the east is the Lünersee. It is possible to reach the summit on various routes during a hike, making it useful for a multiday trek between the mountain huts in the area. A more horizontal trek is following the whole of the Rätikon chain along its southern face, called "Prättigauer Höhenweg".

Schiers railway station (German: Bahnhof Schiers) is a railway station in the municipality of Schiers, in the Swiss canton of Grisons. It is an intermediate stop on the Rhaetian Railway 1,000 mm (3 ft 3+3⁄8 in) metre gauge Landquart–Davos Platz line.

The Girenspitz (2,394 m) is a mountain in the Rätikon range of the Alps, located north of Schiers in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. It is the culminating poing of the group lying between the valleys of the Taschinasbach and the Schraubach.

Fanas is a Swiss village in the Prättigau and a former municipality in the political district of Prättigau/Davos in the canton of Graubünden. On 1 January 2011 Fanas and Valzeina were merged with the municipality of Grüsch.

The Wildberg is a 2,788 m (AA) high mountain in the Schesaplana group of the Rätikon mountain range in the Austrian state Vorarlberg.

The Panüeler Kopf (also called Panüler Kopf, Panüeler Kopf, short Panüeler or Panüler) is a mountain in the Austrian state Vorarlberg. The Panüeler Kopf is part of the Schesaplana group and with an elevation of 2,859 m (AA) the second highest mountain in the Rätikon mountain range. The 950 m high west face is the highest rock face in the Rätikon.

Grüsch railway station (German: Bahnhof Grüsch) is a railway station in the municipality of Grüsch, in the Swiss canton of Grisons. It is an intermediate stop on the Rhaetian Railway 1,000 mm (3 ft 3+3⁄8 in) metre gauge Landquart–Davos Platz line.

The Rätikon is a mountain range of the Central Eastern Alps, located at the border between Vorarlberg, Liechtenstein and Graubünden. It is the geological border between the Eastern and Western Alps and stretches from the Montafon as far as the Rhine. In the south, the Prättigau is its limit, and in the north, it is the Walgau. In the east, it borders the Silvretta groups. The Rätikon mountain range derives its name from Raetia, a province of the Roman Empire, named after the Rhaetian (Raeti or Rhaeti) people.

Lüner Lake (German Lünersee) is a large lake near the town of Bludenz in Vorarlberg, Austria. The lake's depth was raised by 72 metres by the construction of a hydroelectric dam in 1958. The dam supplies water to four local power plants, Lünersee, Rodund I, Rodund II and Walgau. The lake is linked to the village of Brand by a cable car system, the Lünerseebahn.
