The Garstang Museum of Archaeology is a museum at the University of Liverpool. Its collections include artifacts from Egypt, Sudan, and the Near East.

The Liverpool Maternity Hospital was established as the Lying-in Hospital and Dispensary for the Diseases of Women and Children in Horatio Street, Scotland Road, Liverpool, in November 1841. It was replaced by the Liverpool Women's Hospital in November 1995.

Abercromby Square is a square in the University of Liverpool, England. It is bordered by Oxford Street to the north and Cambridge Street to the south. It is named after General Sir Ralph Abercromby, commander of the British Army in Egypt, who died of his wounds following the Battle of Alexandria in 1801. Abercromby Square Gardens occupy the centre of the square.

Canning ward is an electoral district of Liverpool City Council within the Liverpool Riverside and Liverpool Wavertree constituencies. The ward was created for the elections held on 4 May 2023 following a 2022 review by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England, which decided that the previous 30 wards each represented by three Councillors should be replaced by 64 wards represented by 85 councillors with varying representation by one, two or three councillors per ward. The Canning ward was created as a two-member ward from the parts of the former Central, Picton and Princes Park wards. The ward includes Rodney Street, the Philharmonic Hall, the University of Liverpool, and the Liverpool Women's Hospital The ward boundaries follow Upper Parliament Street, Hope Street, Upper Duke Street, Roscoe Street, Mount Pleasant, Myrtle Street, Grove Street, Irvine Street, and Overbury Street.

Yoko Ono Lennon Centre is a teaching and performance facility in Liverpool, United Kingdom. Opened by Sean Lennon in March 2022, it is owned and operated by University of Liverpool. It is named after Yoko Ono. Funding was raised for its establishment in 2021. It is located on Oxford Street on the university campus and primarily consists of two spaces. The Tung Auditorium is a world-class medium-size concert hall with space for a 70 piece orchestra (symphony/philharmonic size) and seating capacity for 400 people. It has hosted the Liverpool Philharmonic Choir. The Paul Brett lecture theatre has space for 600 and is used for teaching students. It is the largest lecture theatre on campus.

University of Liverpool Mathematics School (abbreviated as University of Liverpool Maths School and ULMaS) is a coeducational maths school in Central, Liverpool, in the English county of Merseyside. It was opened by the University of Liverpool in September 2020 as the third specialist maths school in the country and the first in Northern England. It is located on the university's campus, in the Sir Alastair Pilkington Building, and offers a curriculum specialising in A-Level mathematics (including further mathematics), physics and computer science.

The German Church (German: Deutsche Kirche) in Liverpool is in Bedford Street South/ Canning Street and is part of the German speaking churches of North England. The North of England German Protestant churches are members of the "Synod of German-speaking Lutheran, Reformed and United Congregations in Great Britain" and come under the care of the overseas department of the EKD (Evangelical Church in Germany). Services in German are held twice a month on the first (4:00 pm) and third Sundays (11:00 am). Regular Groups include a Faith discussion group, Wirral Circle and a Toddler Play Group.

Falkner Street is a street mostly in Canning, with a short section in Edge Hill, Liverpool, England. The street, built during the early-mid 19th century, is named after Edward Falkner, who had previously commissioned the construction Falkner Square. Constructed at a time when Liverpool had less than 100,000 houses, the Falkner Street houses sold for around £1,000 (equivalent to £101923 in 2019) and were affordable to only the wealthiest 1% of the population.

The Victoria Gallery & Museum (VG&M) is an art gallery and museum run by the University of Liverpool in Liverpool, Merseyside, England.VG&M is located in the "redbrick" 1892 Victoria Building. The building was designed by the Victorian architect Alfred Waterhouse and is Grade II listed. After restoration of the building at a cost of £8.6 million, the museum opened on 28 May 2008. It houses the University of Liverpool's art and museum collections, donated to and created by the university. The museum is open to the public from Tuesday to Saturday each week and admission is free. On the ground floor is the Waterhouse Café and a shop. On the first floor is the art collection which comprises paintings, sculptures and ceramics. Artists represented include Joseph Wright of Derby, J. M. W. Turner, Jacob Epstein, Lucian Freud, Elisabeth Frink and John James Audubon. A series of special exhibitions is organised. Also on this floor is the Leggate Lecture Theatre in which educational talks are given.

The Black Merchant Seamen War Memorial is a sandstone stone memorial, It is situated in Falkner Square, Liverpool. The stone is from the Liverpool Seamen's Hostel with a bronze plaque dedicated to all the Black Seamen who served during World War II. It was unveiled in 1993 on the 50th anniversary of the Battle of the Atlantic.

Falkner Square is a square in Canning on the border of Liverpool city centre and Toxteth. Falkner Square Gardens occupy the centre of the square. The Square was completed in 1830 and in 1835 the central area was acquired as a park, one of the first areas so acquired by the council.

The University of Liverpool is a public research university based in the city of Liverpool, England. Founded as a college in 1881, it gained its Royal Charter in 1903 with the ability to award degrees and is also known to be one of the six 'red brick' civic universities, the first to be referred to as The Original Red Brick. It comprises three faculties organised into 35 departments and schools. Graduates of the university are styled with the post-nominal letters Lpool, to indicate the institution.
