Chōfu Aerospace Center (調布航空宇宙センター, Chōfu Kōkū-uchū senta) is the headquarters and main development facility for the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). The Chōfu Aerospace Center concentrates on aerospace engineering research and development, and is equipped with test facilities including several wind tunnels, materials test facilities, flight simulators, engine test stands and a supercomputer.

Mitaka (三鷹市, Mitaka-shi) is a city in the western portion of Tokyo Metropolis, Japan. As of 1 March 2021, the city had an estimated population of 190,403, and a population density of 12,000 persons per km². The total area of the city was 16.42 square kilometres (6.34 sq mi).

Musashi International School Tokyo (MIST), formerly Little Angels International School and Academy (LAIS リトルエンジェルス・インターナショナルスクール; formerly リトルエンジェルス学園 Ritoru Enjerusu Gakuen), is an international school, kindergarten, English school, and adult business school with two campuses located in Mitaka, Tokyo, Japan. It was designed to cater to Japanese children, whereas other Indian international schools in Japan were established mainly for Indian children.

Shirayuri University (白百合女子大学, Shirayuri Joshi Daigaku) is a Catholic Japanese women's university in Chōfu, Tokyo. The university comprises four Departments of Literature and a graduate school. This all-female institution is well known as Shirayuri Women's University, although its official name is Shirayuri College. It is a research and liberal arts college. It was formed by three nuns and a priest from France.

Jindai-ji (深大寺)is a temple belonging to the Tendai school of Buddhism. It is located in Chōfu in Tokyo Prefecture.

The Jindai Botanical Garden (神代植物公園, Jindai shokubutsu kōen) is at the edge of the Musashino plateau just above Jindaiji Temple in Chōfu, Tokyo, Japan. It extends across 425,433 square meters, and each of its thirty areas features varieties of one kind of plant. Displays of ume, cherries, azalea, dogwood, peonies, roses, wisteria or other can be seen every month. In front of the temple below there is also a wetland annex for aquatic plants, where irises are cultivated. The garden has 100,000 trees and shrubs representing approximately 4,500 varieties, each with an identifying label. The park has a plant protection program to preserve endangered Japanese species and exhibitions and activities related to gardening for the benefit of local citizens. Just outside the rear gate there is an area where some plants are sold. The site of Jindai Botanical Garden was once part of a medieval fortress said to date from 1537. Later it was a nursery that supplied trees for Tokyo's streets. After the war it was opened to the public as Jindai ryokuchi (緑地, green area) and in 1961 it was given its current name as it became the first botanical garden in Tokyo. A large greenhouse was built in 1984 holding the collection of tropical plants. In one section of the greenhouse is the lily pond. Downhill from the garden is Jindaiji Temple, the second oldest Buddhist temple in Tokyo.

Jindaiji Castle (深大寺城, Jindaiji-jō) was a Sengoku period Japanese castle, located in what is now the city of Chōfu, Tokyo, in the Kantō region of Japan Its ruins have been protected as a National Historic Site since 2007.

The Ghibli Museum (三鷹の森ジブリ美術館, Mitaka no Mori Jiburi Bijutsukan, Mitaka Forest Ghibli Museum) is a museum showcasing the work of the Japanese animation studio Studio Ghibli. It is located in Inokashira Park in Mitaka, a western city of Tokyo, Japan. The museum combines features of a children's museum, technology museum, and a fine arts museum, and is dedicated to the art and technique of animation. Features include a replica of the Catbus from My Neighbor Totoro (1988), a café, bookstore, rooftop garden, and a theater for exclusive short films by Studio Ghibli.

Japan Women's College of Physical Education (日本女子体育大学, Nihon joshi taiiku daigaku) is a private university in Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan. The predecessor of the school, a juku, was founded 1922. In 1965 it was chartered as a university.
