Ishikawa Prefecture

Kanazawa Umimirai Library is a public library located in Kanazawa city, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. This is a contemporary building by the Japanese architects Kazumi Kudo and Hiroshi Horiba, completed in 2011. Its surface creates a decorative grid made of some 6000 small circular blocks of glass which puncture the concrete surface of the building in a triangular array.

The facility is owned by Ishikawa Prefecture and is operated and managed by the Ishikawa Prefectural Fureai Public Corporation as a designated manager.

Beneath a square in front of the JR station is Hokutetsu-Kanazawa Station, the terminal of the Hokuriku Railroad Asanogawa Line.

Ishikawa Ongakudō (石川県立音楽堂, Ishikawa kenritsu ongakudō) is a concert hall in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. It opened in 2001 and has two principal performances spaces: the shoebox-style Concert Hall, which seats 1,560; and the Hōgaku Hall, with a capacity of 720, for traditional Japanese music, kabuki, and bunraku. The walls of the main auditorium are finished with urushi. Yoshinobu Ashihara was the architect with acoustic design by Nagata Acoustics, who trialled their concept with a 1:10 scale model. The organ, with sixty-nine stops, is by the Karl Schuke company. Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa is the resident orchestra.

The Onohiyoshi Shrine (大野日吉神社, Ōno hiyoshijinja) is a Shinto shrine located in Kanazawa, Ishikawa. The shrine is dedicated to deities Oyamakui no Kami and Ōmononushi. It is said to have been founded in 733. The shrine suffered damage during the 2024 Sea of Japan earthquake.

The Porte Kanazawa (ポルテ金沢, Porute Kanazawa) is a skyscraper located in Kanazawa, Isikawa Prefecture, Japan. Construction of the 131-metre, 30-story skyscraper was finished in 1994.

Oyama Shrine (尾山神社, Oyama-jinja) is a Shinto shrine in Kanazawa, Ishikawa, Japan.The shrine was established in 1599, dedicated to Maeda Toshiie (the first lord of Kaga Domain), in Utatsu-yama (卯辰山), east of Kanazawa. It was moved to its present location in 1873 and renamed to Oyama-jinja. The main gate was constructed in 1875. This gate is a peculiar mix of traditional Japanese, Chinese, and European religious architectural elements. The gate is 25 metres (82 ft) high including the lightning rod. The third floor is particular famous for its Dutch stained-glass windows. It is said that the third floor was also used as a lighthouse. The gate was designated an Important Cultural Asset on August 29, 1950.
