Sloan Park is an American baseball park in Mesa, Arizona, which opened in 2014. The primary operator is the Chicago Cubs and the ballpark serves as their spring training home and is also the home of the Arizona League Cubs of the Arizona League and the Mesa Solar Sox of the Arizona Fall League. Sloan Park was built and paid for by residents of the City of Mesa, approved by ballot measure. It was primarily built to house spring training operations for the Chicago Cubs, who had previously played at nearby Hohokam Stadium. The stadium design was led by Populous. The dimensions of the playing surface closely match those of the Cubs' regular home stadium, Wrigley Field. There are many secondary fields at the park, most of which are training and practice fields. With a capacity of 15,000, Sloan Park is the largest spring training stadium by capacity in Major League Baseball, surpassing Camelback Ranch in Glendale (coincidentally, spring training home of the Cubs' in-city rival the Chicago White Sox) by 2,000 seats.Formerly known as Cubs Park, on January 8, 2015, it was announced that Sloan Valve Company had signed a naming-rights deal to the ballpark, giving it its current Sloan Park name. The stadium is currently the newest stadium in the Cactus League. While it is home to these spring training games, it has also hosted some youth tournaments.

Mesa Riverview is an outdoor shopping center in Mesa, Arizona (part of the Phoenix metropolitan area) located in the northwestern corner of the city near Loop 202 and Dobson Road. The shopping center has a gross leasable area of 1,115,112 square feet (103,000 m2). Anchor stores include Bass Pro Shops, Cinemark Theatre, Home Depot, Bed Bath and Beyond, Petco, Walmart, Marshalls, Office Max, and Jo-Ann Fabrics.The shopping center is currently owned by Kimco Realty Corp.

Tri-City Pavilions, formerly Tri-City Mall, is a shopping mall in Mesa, Arizona, United States. It was developed in 1968 as an enclosed shopping mall featuring Diamond's and JCPenney as the anchor stores. The mall underwent a period of decline following the opening of Fiesta Mall in 1979, particularly after Diamond's consolidated with its store in that mall in 1984. Despite a mall-wide renovation completed in 1985 and the addition of new tenants such as ZCMI and Bealls, Tri-City Mall continued to diminish throughout the 1990s, with JCPenney closing in 1998. The mall was demolished in 1999 in favor of a strip mall anchored by Safeway Inc., although the former JCPenney building remained until 2006. Tri-City Pavilions is owned and managed by Lamar Companies.

Sycamore/Main Street, also known as The Asian District, is a station on the Valley Metro Rail line in Mesa, Arizona, United States. The station is located one block east of the intersection of Dobson Road and Main Street, in front of the former Tri City Mall. It was the original eastern terminus for Valley Metro Rail when the line opened in 2008. Adjacent to Mekong Plaza and other East Asian businesses, it serves as an access point to Mesa's Asian district. A large park and ride lot is located adjacent to the station's bus terminal on the north side of Main Street.

The East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) is a public school district serving the eastern portion of the Phoenix, Arizona metro area. It is a joint technological education district with programs are available to students at the member high schools. EVIT serves 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students from the sending districts that meet class prerequisites.

Price-101 Freeway/Apache Blvd is a light rail station on Valley Metro Rail in Tempe, Arizona, United States. It is the first station of the westbound line within the city of Tempe, and is located a few hundred feet east of Loop 101/Price Freeway. This station is a park and ride station.

Westwood High School is a 4-year public high school in the western part of Mesa, Arizona, United States under the jurisdiction of Mesa Public Schools. It was opened in 1962 with Elias Brimhall as the founding principal. In the 1983–84 school year, it was honored as a Blue Ribbon school. In 2018 it was reclassified as a "A" school through the Arizona Department of Education school accountability system.It is the zoned public high school of the Salt River Pima–Maricopa Indian Community.

Alma School/Main Street is a station on the Metro light rail line in Mesa, Arizona, United States. The station is located one block east of the intersection of West Main Street and Alma School Road and opened on August 22, 2015.

Tempe Marketplace is an open-air shopping center located in Tempe, Arizona. It is located along the Salt River near the interchange of Loop 101 (the Pima/Price Freeway) and Loop 202 (the Red Mountain Freeway) near the Tempe borders with Mesa and the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.

Culdesac Tempe is a car-free mixed-use development in Tempe, Arizona that began construction in 2023. Culdesac Tempe is intended to be a car-free neighborhood in the U.S. housing 1000 residents when completed but with no accommodation for the cars of inhabitants. For residents seeking to commute without an available car, the development is located in Tempe, Arizona about 2 miles (3.2 km) from downtown and is the first project of the startup Culdesac. Construction of the neighborhood began in 2019, was estimated to cost $140 million, span 16 acres (6.5 ha), and include 636 apartment units and 24,000 square feet (2,200 m2) of restaurant and retail space. Residents in most of the Phoenix metro area rely heavily on personal vehicles for transportation. Culdesac is expected to eliminate the need for cars by locating most necessary services within the neighborhood and providing mobility benefits via partnerships with rideshare companies and public transit agencies. It is located adjacent to the Smith–Martin/Apache Boulevard station on the Valley Metro Rail network, which flows west into downtown Phoenix. The ban on parking spaces is intended to leave room opportunities for green space including courtyards, gardens, and places for the community to gather in the neighborhood. Culdesac enlisted Dan Parolek of Opticos Design to leverage their expertise in walkable communities and Missing Middle Housing for the first car-free neighborhood designed for shared mobility in the United States. Opticos led the master planning, designed diverse housing types, and coordinated a multi-disciplinary team including civil engineers, landscape architects, lighting consultants, commercial/food and beverage consultants, and the architect of record.
