The Space Research Centre (SRC, Polish: Centrum Badań Kosmicznych) is an interdisciplinary research institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences. It was established in 1977. SRC PAS is the only institute in Poland whose activity is fully dedicated to the research of terrestrial space, the Solar System and the Earth using space technology and satellite techniques. The SRC also acts as Poland's national space agency until the Polish Space Agency) is fully established. Since 1977 the SRC staff developed, constructed and prepared for launch over 60 instruments and participated in the experiments in more than 50 space missions, for example: European Space Agency's Cassini–Huygens mission (investigation of Saturn and Titan), INTEGRAL (space laboratory of high energy astrophysics), Mars Express (Mars orbiter), Rosetta (mission to comet), Venus Express (Venus orbiter), Herschel Space Observatory (investigation of the coldest and most distant objects in the Universe), BepiColombo (mission to Mercury), Roscosmos's Koronas-F, Koronas-I, Koronas-Foton and Fobos-Grunt missions, and CNES' DEMETER and TARANIS missions. Space Research Centre has co-operated with the ESA since 1991. SRC has also collaborated with NASA (IBEX mission) and ISRO (Chandrayaan programme).

Augustówka is a neighbourhood, and an area of the Municipal Information System, in the city of Warsaw, Poland, located within the district of Mokotów.

Siekierki Power Station (Polish: Elektrociepłownia Siekierki) is a combined heat and power plant at Augustówka in Warsaw, Poland. It has an installed heat capacity of 2,081 MW and power generation capacity of 622 MW. Construction work on the station started in 1958, and in 1961 the first 50 MW unit went in service. Three further units followed in 1962, increasing its power to 200 MW. Further units, increasing the power of the station to 600 MW were built between 1974 and 1978. On April 26, 1976 a turbine disintegrated, whereby one blade shot through the roof and a fire broke out. A further fire occurred on June 2, 2010. Previously owned by Vattenfall it is now owned by PGNiG.

Cyryl the Independent Cat (Polish: Niezależny Kot Cyryl), also known as the Independent Cat Monument (Polish: Pomnik Niezależnego Kota), is a bronze statue of a cat in Warsaw, Poland, placed in the Balaton Park, within the district of Praga-South. It was designed by Bogna Czechowska, and unveiled on 29 May 2011.

Sadyba is a neighborhood in Mokotów district of Warsaw, Poland. It has an administrative status of osiedle within the city. Sadyba can be divided into Old Sadyba, mainly upper class housing, and New-Sadyba with modern retail stores and communist era high rise apartments. Old and New Sadyba can be divided roughly by Świętego Bonifacego street, just south of the Sadyba Best mall. Sadyba is known as the "Garden City" due to the large number of household and community gardens tended by the residents.

Central Military Library (CBW) is the main library of Poland Ministry of National Defense located in Warsaw. In 2009, she was awarded the Gloria Artis Medal for Merit to Culture.

Stefan Starzyński Monument (Polish: Pomnik Stefana Starzyńskiego) is a monument in Warsaw, Poland, located in the district of Praga-Południe. It is placed at Saska Street, next to the entrace to the building of 143th Primary School at 27 Stanów Zjednoczonych Avenue. It consist of statue depicting Stefan Starzyński, mayor of Warsaw from 1934 to 1939, who commanded the city defence during the siege of 1939 in Second World War. The monument was designed in Ludwika Nitschowa and unveiled on 16 January 1981 in the Saxon Garden. It was moved to its current location on 5 September 2008.

Muzeum Katyńskie w Warszawie is a museum in Warsaw, Poland. The museum was established in 1993. It is located in the Polish Army Museum. Objects, documents and personal effects from the site of the Katyn massacre can be seen in the museum. In 2017 museum was nominated for European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture award.

The Museum of Polish Military Technology (Polish: Muzeum Polskiej Techniki Wojskowej) is a military museum in the Mokotów district of Warsaw, Poland. It is a branch of the Polish Army Museum. It is located in former Fort IX of the Warsaw Fortress.

The bust of Adam Mickiewicz (Polish: Popiersie Adama Mickiewicza) is a monument in Warsaw, Poland, within the neighbourhood of Saska Kępa, in the district of Praga-South. It is placed near Kubańska Street, in the courtyard of the 4th Adam Mickiewicz General Education High School at 59 Saska Street. It is dedicated to Adam Mickiewicz, a 19th-century poet, writer, and political activist. It was designed by Eugeniusz Kozak and unveiled in 2000.

The Church of St. Anthony of Padua (Kościół Św. Antoniego Padewskiego) is the parish church of the Parish of St. Boniface (Parafia Św. Bonifacego) in Czerniaków in Warsaw.

Nadwilanówka, historically known as Kępa Nadwilanówka, and Kępa Nadwilanowska, is a neighbourhood in Warsaw, Poland, located within the district of Wilanów, in the City Information System area of Zawady.The neighbourhood is dominated by low-rise residencial building, with additional presence of farmland. It was founded in 1819, and settled by German people. In 1951, it was incorporated into the nearby city of Warsaw.
