The American River Grange Hall in Rancho Cordova, California, is an 1882 wooden Grange Hall building. The American River Grange was incorporated in January 1873 and met in Fifteen Mile House until having this building built. As of 1996, the American River Grange Hall has been in continuous use ever since and is the oldest of eight Granges active in Sacramento County, California.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

Cordova Town Center station is a side platformed Sacramento RT Light Rail station in Rancho Cordova, California, United States. The station was opened on June 11, 2004, and is operated by the Sacramento Regional Transit District. It is served by the Gold Line. It is located near the intersection of Olson Drive/Cordova Lane and Folsom Boulevard and serves the nearby Rancho Cordova Town Center and a variety of shopping destinations. Cordova Town Center, along with Zinfandel and Sunrise, opened on June 11, 2004, as part of an $89 million, 2.8-mile (4.5 km) extension of the Gold Line east of the Mather Field/Mills station. Rancho Cordova city officials have stated the establishment of the stations will help in the development of transit-oriented development/redevelopment of the Folsom corridor through the city.

The California Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA or EMS Authority) is an agency of California State government. The California EMS Authority is one of the thirteen departments within the California Health and Human Services Agency. The director is required to be a physician with substantial experience in emergency medicine. Elizabeth Basnett is the current Acting Director.The mission of the California EMS Authority is to ensure quality patient care by administering an effective, statewide system of coordinated emergency medical care, injury prevention, and disaster medical response. In California, the EMS Authority is responsible for paramedic licensure, emergency medical technician regulations, trauma center and trauma system standards, ambulance service coordination, and disaster medical response. The EMS Authority operates the EMS Central Registry, a public access database that provides information about licensing and certification status of EMTs and paramedics. The EMS Authority manages the state's medical response to major disasters. This includes maintenance, staffing and deployment of three 200-bed mobile field hospitals, 39 Disaster Medical Support Units that supply ambulance strike teams, and three 40-person medical assistance teams that are prepared to respond to a disaster. Disaster Healthcare Volunteers is California's initiative to pre-register, verify licensure and credentials, and mobilize professional healthcare volunteers. The program has roughly 14,000 registrants representing 47 professional license types including doctors, dentists, nurses, paramedics, pharmacists, technicians, etc.

Sacramento Children's Museum (SCM) is a children's museum in Rancho Cordova near Sacramento, California. The Museum is designed for children ages birth to eight. The Museum includes hands-on activities for children using pressurized tubes, artificial currents, balls in chutes to explore gravity, as well as painting and craft art activities. The museum also offers a pint-sized city for children to role play, including a miniature grocery store. The Museum is located off U.S. Route 50 in California. and was organized as a non-profit corporation in 2005 under the guidance of Kathleen Palley (a local mother) and Alan Godlove. The facility opened August 25, 2011 under the guidance of Executive Director Sharon Stone Smith. The museum includes 7,000 square feet of space.

Gold River is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sacramento County, California. The population was 7,812 at the 2010 census, down from 8,023 at the 2000 census. Gold River is part of the Sacramento–Arden-Arcade–Roseville Metropolitan Statistical Area. With a median family income of $141,399 according to U.S Census Bureau in 2021, Gold River is the highest-income place in Sacramento County. The community of Gold River consists of a residential planned development and some smaller subdivisions served by the Gold River Discovery Center (a K through 8 school), as well as some retail, commercial and light industrial areas. The community consists of detached single family homes, duplex and triplexes, as well as a condominium development. Gold River lies between the cities of Rancho Cordova on the south, Folsom on the east, and the American River to the north. The Gold River Community Association is the master association for the 25 separate "villages" that make up the planned development. Each village has its own subassociations as well. The planned development and two subdivisions, including Gold Station, opted out of inclusion into the City of Rancho Cordova by resolution and petitions, respectively. The community remains an unincorporated part of Sacramento County.

Zinfandel station is a side platformed Sacramento RT Light Rail station in Rancho Cordova, California, United States. The station was opened on June 11, 2004, and is operated by the Sacramento Regional Transit District. It is served by the Gold Line. Across the street from the stop is the Rancho Cordova Town Center mall. The station was originally intended for construction along Folsom, east of Zinfandel Drive. However, RT officials moved the station west of Zinfandel after requests by the Rancho Cordova Area Chamber of Commerce due to the better location adjacent to retail centers. Zinfandel, along with Cordova Town Center and Sunrise, opened on June 11, 2004, as part of an $89 million, 2.8-mile (4.5 km) extension of the Gold Line east of the Mather Field/Mills station. The Fair Oaks Bridge is a truss bridge over the lower banks of the American River, connecting Fair Oaks to the greater Sacramento, California region. The current bridge, built 1907-1909 at a cost of $63,000, is the third bridge at this location. The first bridge, which opened in 1901, helped to transform the small semi-rural community into a turn-of-the-century agricultural powerhouse. The present bridge, built 1907-1909, helped to transform the citrus colony into one of the leading bedroom communities of Sacramento by the 1940s. It is now a pedestrian and bicycle-only bridge.

Established in 1959, the Sacramento Waldorf School is an American private school offering programs from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. It is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America. Sacramento Waldorf School is the largest Waldorf school in North America. The campus, which includes a stream and small working farm, is located on 22 acres (89,000 m2) in Fair Oaks, California, overlooking the American River.

The Slocum House located in Fair Oaks, California is a historic building designed and built by Arthur Broadley in 1925 in the Colonial Bungalow architectural style for Charles Henry and Sara Ann Slocum. Charles Slocum settled in Fair Oaks from Iowa on December 23, 1896, just a year after the first settlers arrived on November 20, 1895. Charles Slocum was a businessman who ran the Slocum and Gore General Merchandise Store and established the Fair Oaks Bank in 1912. Slocum worked there as a cashier and manager until his death on July 19, 1925.

The American River Parkway is a 32-mile (51 km) parkway that runs along the American River throughout Sacramento County, California and consists of many smaller parks and boat launching points. It can be accessed by various exits off U.S. Route 50 in Sacramento County.
