Kaimukī is a residential neighborhood in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States.

Sacred Hearts Academy, also known as Sacred Hearts or SHA, is located on 3253 Waiʻalae Avenue, in the town of Kaimuki in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, is a historic Roman Catholic college preparatory school for girls founded in 1909 to serve the needs of early Hawaiʻi Catholics in the former Territory of Hawaiʻi. The school maintains a special relationship with Chaminade University of Honolulu and the all-boys Saint Louis School, both administered by the Society of Mary.

Chaminade University of Honolulu is a private Marianist university in Honolulu, Hawaii. Founded in 1955 by the Society of Mary, Chaminade is located in Kaimuki, Honolulu at the base of St. Louis Heights. Chaminade offers bachelor's degrees in 23 fields of study and 5 master's degree programs. Chaminade University is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission.

Saint Louis School, located in the neighborhood of Kaimuki in Honolulu, Hawaii, is a historic Roman Catholic college preparatory school for boys. It was founded in 1846 to serve Catholics in the former Kingdom of Hawaii. Located within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Honolulu, it is affiliated with the Society of Mary, a religious order of brothers and priests called the Marianists who also administer Chaminade University of Honolulu, formerly the college section of Saint Louis School. It is located near Sacred Hearts Academy, a girls' school founded by the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, and both schools hold joint programs such as cultural festivals and the JROTC.

Leonard's Bakery is a Portuguese bakery in Honolulu, Hawaii, known for popularizing the malasada. The fried pastry, slightly crispier and chewier than a doughnut and with no hole, is known as a cuisine of Hawaii. Though Portuguese immigrants brought the malasada to Hawaii at the turn of the 20th century, Leonard's opened in 1952 and brought it to a wider audience. Leonard's is a household name in Hawaii and is well known in the continental United States and internationally. A franchise location opened in Japan in 2008.

The Lemon Wond Holt House at 3704 Anuhea Street in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, belonged to Lemon Wond Holt, nicknamed “Rusty” (22 September 1904 – 12 March 1999), one of the last surviving local-born members of the “Stonewall Gang” who frequented Waikiki Beach during the early 1900s.Architecturally, the house is significant as one of the first examples of a "modestly detailed, fantasy picturesque style residence" built in Hawaiʻi during the late 1920s and early 1930s. It is entirely typical for that period—in its materials, methods, craftsmanship, and design—and is one of only a dozen or so such homes that still survive in Honolulu.

Pālolo is the name of a valley, stream, and residential neighborhood in Honolulu, Hawaii, the United States. The area lies approximately four miles east and inland from downtown Honolulu, less than a mile from Diamond Head. Like many of Hawaii's neighborhoods, Pālolo consists of an entire valley. The mauka (mountain-side) of the valley is agricultural in nature. The makai (ocean-side) of the valley ends approximately at Waiʻalae Avenue and is densely settled, mostly with single-family homes. In the Hawaiian land use system, Pālolo is an ʻili of the Waikīkī ahupuaʻa in moku of Kona (Honolulu).Pālolo includes the Kaʻau Crater, an extinct volcano in the mountains at the back of the valley. Pālolo Stream runs through the valley before joining Manoa stream to form the Mānoa-Pālolo drainage canal, which flows into the Ala Wai Canal. In the Hawaiian language, pālolo means "clay".Jarrett Middle School and Pālolo Elementary School are located in Pālolo. Pālolo Valley is bordered on the mauka end by the Koʻolau Range, to the Koko Head (approximately East) side by Wilhelmina Rise, on the makai end by the neighborhood of Kaimuki, and on the ʻEwa (approximately west) side by Waʻahila Ridge.

The Hawaiian Humane Society is a nonprofit, open admission animal shelter in Moiliili, Hawaii. Its original mission was to help children and unwed mothers, but in 1935 changed to its current animal focus. It has a staff of 85 people who care for healthy animals and treat sick animals, investigate complaints, teach classes, and adopt out cats & dogs. They also have a large group volunteers.

The Diamond Head Theatre is a cultural institution in the United States. Locally known as the Broadway of the Pacific, it is located on the slopes of Diamond Head in Honolulu, Hawaii. Opened in 1915, it is Hawaii's oldest performing arts center.

The East–West Center (EWC), or the Center for Cultural and Technical Interchange Between East and West, is an education and research organization established by the U.S. Congress in 1960 to strengthen relations and understanding among the peoples and nations of Asia, the Pacific, and the United States. Suzanne Vares-Lum currently serves as its president and chief executive, and is headquartered in Honolulu at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.
