War Memorial Stadium is a stadium located in Wailuku, Hawaii, that opened in 1969 and holds 23,000 people. It is primarily used for American football, and from 1998 through 2005 was the venue for the Hula Bowl, a college football all-star game. When the stadium originally opened in 1969 it held fewer than 7,000 people. It was expanded due to the efforts of the then-mayor of Maui, Linda Lingle, to host the Hula Bowl.War Memorial Stadium is also home to the Maui Interscholastic League (MIL) High School Football association and soccer matches are played in the stadium. War Memorial Stadium is also equipped with a state of the art 440 yard track, long jump, triple jump, high jump, and pole vaulting pits. In 1972, the stadium was the site of the first State High School Track and Field Championships held outside of Honolulu, chosen in part because of the new state of the art rubberized asphalt surface. The football field has a grass surface. Plans to replace the grass with artificial turf were abandoned in 2014 when bids came in 50% above the expected $1 million.The only regular-season college football game to take place on Maui occurred on September 8, 2001, when the University of Hawaii Warriors defeated the visiting Montana Grizzlies 30–12 in front of a crowd of 12,863.

The Clarence T. C. Ching Athletics Complex, located on the campus of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in Honolulu, features a three-story building next to an all-purpose track and Clarence T. C. Ching Field. The facility, built in 2015, includes locker rooms and a meeting room for Hawaii beach volleyball, cross country, women's soccer and track and field teams.The university's football team also utilizes the facility for practices, and it became the team’s temporary stadium starting in 2021. The stadium has a seating capacity of 15,194, up from 9,346 in 2021 and 2022. It will further expand to 16,909 in 2024.

The SimpliFi Arena at the Stan Sheriff Center is a 10,300-seat multi-purpose arena in Honolulu CDP, City and County of Honolulu, Hawaii, on the campus of the University of Hawaii at Manoa (UH). Initially named the Special Events Arena when it opened in 1994, the arena was renamed in 1998 after Stan Sheriff (1932–1993), a former UH athletic director who lobbied for its construction. The arena was renamed after Bank of Hawaii secured naming rights to the arena on a 10-year, $5-million contract on November 12, 2020.

The Hawaiian Humane Society is a nonprofit, open admission animal shelter in Moiliili, Hawaii. Its original mission was to help children and unwed mothers, but in 1935 changed to its current animal focus. It has a staff of 85 people who care for healthy animals and treat sick animals, investigate complaints, teach classes, and adopt out cats & dogs. They also have a large group volunteers.

The East–West Center (EWC), or the Center for Cultural and Technical Interchange Between East and West, is an education and research organization established by the U.S. Congress in 1960 to strengthen relations and understanding among the peoples and nations of Asia, the Pacific, and the United States. Suzanne Vares-Lum currently serves as its president and chief executive, and is headquartered in Honolulu at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.

The William S. Richardson School of Law is the professional graduate law school of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Located in Honolulu, Hawaii, the school is named after its patriarch, former Hawaii State Supreme Court Chief Justice William S. Richardson, a zealous advocate of Hawaiian culture, and is Hawaii's only law school.Richardson's regime of legal studies places special emphasis on fields of law of particular importance to Hawaii and the surrounding Pacific and Asian region, including Native Hawaiian Law, Pacific-Asian Legal Studies, Environmental Law, and maritime law.A member of the Association of American Law Schools (AALS), the school is accredited by the Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar of the American Bar Association (ABA). It offers a Juris Doctor, with certificates available in Native Hawaiian Law, Pacific-Asian Legal Studies, and Environmental Law, with students able to matriculate either full-time or part-time. It also offers an Advanced Juris Doctor, for foreign students who have earned a law degree abroad, and a LLM. For 2021, U.S. News & World Report ranked Richardson 96th among American law schools. Richardson's part-time program was ranked 30th.

Asia Pacific Leadership Program (APLP) is the signature program of the East-West Center linking advanced and interdisciplinary analysis of emergent regional issues with experiential leadership learning. It is a certificate program for graduate-level students and mid-level professionals held at University of Hawaii at Manoa campus. Each year's 45 participants come from many countries in Asia-Pacific. The program includes field trips to different cities in United States like Washington DC and Los Angeles and different countries like Japan, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. Most APLP participants reside in Hale Manoa Dormitory during their program.

The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (University of Hawaii–Mānoa, UH Mānoa, Hawaiʻi, or simply UH) is a public land-grant research university in Mānoa, a neighborhood of Honolulu, Hawaii. It is the flagship campus of the University of Hawaiʻi system and houses the main offices of the system. Most of the campus occupies the eastern half of the mouth of Mānoa Valley, with the John A. Burns School of Medicine located adjacent to the Kakaʻako Waterfront Park. UH offers over 200 degree programs across 17 colleges and schools. It is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission and governed by the Hawaii State Legislature and a semi-autonomous board of regents. It also a member of the Association of Pacific Rim Universities. Mānoa is classified among "R1: Doctoral Universities – Very high research activity". It is a land-grant university that also participates in the sea-grant, space-grant, and sun-grant research consortia; it is one of only four such universities in the country (Oregon State University, Cornell University and Pennsylvania State University are the others). Notable UH alumni include Patsy T. Mink, Robert Ballard, Richard Parsons, and the parents of Barack Obama – Barack Obama Sr. and Stanley Ann Dunham. Forty-four percent of Hawaii's state senators and 51 percent of its state representatives are UH graduates.

The John Young Museum of Art is located on the campus of the University of Hawaii at Manoa in Krauss Hall at 2500 Dole Street Honolulu, HI 96822. The 2,738 square foot teaching museum located at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, in Honolulu, consists of two exhibition galleries (the Beverly Willis gallery and the Michael J. Marks gallery) and a state-of-the-art object study center housing works of Asian art, Native Hawaiian (Kanaka Maoli) art, and Pacific art. Most of the works in its permanent collection were donated by the American/Hawaiian artist John Chin Young (1909–1997). The museum is housed near the Dole Street entrance to the campus in a historic former pineapple research building. It has a large courtyard where public events are held. Since 2019, the museum has been directed by Dr. Maika Pollack. The museum is open noon to 4:00pm Sunday to Friday during Fall and Spring semesters. The museum does not charge admission and is open to the public. Parking in front of the museum on campus is free on Sundays.

The Cooperative Institute for Marine and Atmospheric Research (CIMAR) is an oceanic, atmospheric, and geophysical research institute that is sponsored jointly by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (OAR) and the University of Hawaiʻi (UH). Formerly incorporated as JIMAR (Joint Institute for Marine and Atmospheric Research), it is one of 21 NOAA Cooperative Institutes (CIs).The CIMAR research themes are: Ecosystem-Based Management Ocean Monitoring & Forecasting Ecosystem Monitoring Climate Science & Impacts Ecological Forecasting Air-Sea Interactions Protection & Restoration of Resources Tsunamis (and other long period ocean waves)

The Hawaii Center for Volcanology was a cooperative effort between the School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory of the United States Geological Survey, and the Center for the Study of Active Volcanoes at the University of Hawaii at Hilo. The loosely organized cooperative was created in 1992 to "bring together experts from around the state of Hawaii so that we might better understand these magical mountains of fire", and consists of approximately 80 scientists. Its site is maintained by members of the School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology staff, even though it is no longer in operation.

The Central Pacific Hurricane Center (CPHC) of the United States National Weather Service is the official body responsible for tracking and issuing tropical cyclone warnings, watches, advisories, discussions, and statements for the Central Pacific region: from the equator northward, 140°W–180°W, most significantly for Hawai‘i. It is the Regional Specialized Meteorological Center (RSMC) for tropical cyclones in this region, and in this capacity is known as RSMC Honolulu. Based in Honolulu, Hawaii, the CPHC is co-located with the National Weather Service's Honolulu forecast office on the campus of the University of Hawaii at Mānoa. The Honolulu forecast office activates the CPHC when tropical cyclones form in, or move into, the Central Pacific region. The CPHC replaced the previous forecaster, the Joint Hurricane Warning Center, starting in the 1970 season.
