Keith's Chapel, also known as Mr Keith's Chapel and the May Fair Chapel, was a private chapel in Curzon Street, Mayfair, Westminster, operated by the 18th century Church of England clergyman Alexander Keith. Keith had been the first incumbent of the Church of England's new Curzon Chapel, built in Curzon Street in 1730, where he began to perform marriages without either banns or license until he was excommunicated by an ecclesiastical court in 1742. Keith then went to prison and remained there for several years. However, he quickly established his own private chapel very near to his old one on Curzon Street, where he and his curates continued clandestine marriages until 1754, when the Marriage Act 1753 came into effect.The marriages at Keith's Chapel were perfectly lawful, as until 1754 the only indispensable element of a marriage in England was a Church of England clergyman. At its height, some six thousand marriages a year were taking place at the chapel. The chapel's business was promoted by frequent advertisements in newspapers, such as this one in the Daily Post dated 20 July 1744: To prevent mistakes, the little new chapel in May Fair, near Hyde Park corner, is in the corner house, opposite to the city side of the great chapel, and within ten yards of it, and the minister and clerk live in the same corner house where the little chapel is; and the licence on a crown stamp, minister and clerk's fees, together with the certificate, amount to one guinea, as heretofore, at any hour till four in the afternoon. And that it may be the better known, there is a porch at the door like a country church porch. When his wife died in January 1750, Keith combined the announcement of her death in the Daily Advertiser with an advertisement for his chapel's services.

The Cosmopolitan Club in London, England, was a club which existed from 1852 to 1902. It met in rooms at 30 Charles Street, off Berkeley Square, which had previously been the studio of George Frederic Watts and then of Henry Wyndham Phillips.The membership was limited to 60, and included literary men, artists, civil servants and political figures. Watts joined, as did the writers Matthew James Higgins (Jacob Omnium), Francis Turner Palgrave, Edward Fitzgerald and Anthony Trollope. Other members included the Prince of Wales, Henry Layard, Sir Robert Morier, James Spedding and William Gladstone.The club was "largely renowned for conversation", and is said to be the basis of "The Universe", "the club where the best informed political gossip is heard", in Trollope's novel Phineas Redux. It met every Sunday and Wednesday evening for the greater part of the year.The meeting room was dominated by a large painting by Watts of a naked damsel in distress. The painting, A Story from Boccaccio, depicted the woman fleeing towards a group of classically dressed figures. It was presented to the nation when the club closed.

Geo. F. Trumper is a British men's barber and perfumer in London, England, which sells its own brand of men's fragrances and personal grooming products. It was established in 1875 by George Francis William Trumper as a Gentlemen's Barber Shop. George Trumper was not only an excellent barber but also a master perfumer, and he soon gained a reputation as such among the gentlemen of London's elite.

The Tamarind restaurant is an Indian restaurant in Mayfair, London, opened in 1995. It won a Michelin star in 2001, the first Indian restaurant to do so. The Tatler describes it as beautiful, "sophisticated, lively and oddly romantic", and as suitable for clinching a business deal as a grand Sunday lunch or a lover's "light supper". The Michelin Guide calls the cuisine "appealing northern Indian food" and "of great finesse". Jonathan Gold, in the Los Angeles Times, wrote that he had been impressed by its "frank attempt to produce Indian food with the sheen and polish of white-tablecloth European cuisine", though he chiefly recalled "the wine list, the flowers, and the cost."

5 Hertford Street (5HS) is a private members' club in Mayfair, London, which was described in 2017 as London's most secretive club. It has annual membership costs of £1,800 and is owned by the English businessman Robin Birley. Its interior design is by the Turkish-born fashion designer Rifat Ozbek.The club is known to have been frequented by figures including Harry Styles, Margot Robbie, Mick Jagger, Lupita Nyong'o, George and Amal Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio, the Prince of Wales and Princess Eugenie. It is where Meghan Markle had drinks the night before she met Prince Harry. Piers Morgan had drinks with Markle before she went to 5 Hertford Street. Morgan's wife, Celia Walden, wrote an article for The Telegraph attributing 5 Hertford Street as the location of the first date of Markle and Prince Harry. Later it was said in Finding Freedom, a biography that includes contributions from Markle, that the first date of the couple was at Soho House on Dean Street.Birley, who has been described as "a committed Leaver", "ushered into membership" a number of politicians; political figures that have been associated with the club include Priti Patel, Nigel Farage, Michael Gove, David Cameron, Arron Banks and Liz Truss. It is located on the corner of Shepherd Market and has its own cigar shop and a downstairs nightclub, Loulou's.In May 2019, protesters gathered outside the club after it announced that it was outsourcing management of its kitchen porters to a private company, putting staff at risk of reduced pay.

Murano is a restaurant situated in London, England. It was opened in August 2008 by chefs Angela Hartnett and Gordon Ramsay. Murano was purchased outright from Ramsay by head chef Hartnett with the handover taking place in October 2010. It was awarded one Michelin star in 2009, which has been retained ever since.

Saudi Arabia also maintains a Defence Attaché's Office at 26 Queen's Gate, South Kensington, a Diplomatic Office of the Cultural Bureau at 630 Chiswick High Road, Gunnersbury, a Medical Section at 60 Queen Anne Street, Marylebone, a Commercial Section at 15/16 Queen Street, Mayfair, an Islamic Affairs Section at 2nd Floor, Park Lorne, 111 Park Road, Lisson Grove and an Information Section at 18 Seymour Street, Marylebone.The embassy is situated in Crewe House, a detached mansion designed and constructed by Edward Shepherd in 1730, set in its own grounds in Mayfair. Built in the Georgian style, it is a Grade II* listed building. The house was considerably altered in the late 18th and early 19th-century. Much of its neo-classical interior dates from the early 19th-century, and some of Shepherd's original plasterwork ceilings may survive.

The Curzon Mayfair Cinema is a Grade II listed building at 37–38 Curzon Street, London W1, built in 1963–66 by H. G. Hammond for Sir John Burnet, Tait and Partners, architects.Historic England have described it as "the finest surviving cinema building of the post-war period, it is also the least altered." It is part of the Curzon Cinemas chain.

Les Saveurs de Jean-Christophe Novelli, also known as Les Saveurs, was a restaurant in Curzon Street, Mayfair, London. Owned by Marco Pierre White in the mid 1990s, it was purchased by Jean-Christophe Novelli in April 1997. The restaurant was Novelli's sixth to be opened in the Novelli Group, in agreement with Rocco Forte's RF Hotels. In the contract, Novelli agreed to pay 10% of turnover or a minimum of £100,000 a year to Rocco Forte.The restaurant opened in 1998, but was closed just a year later after losing money. Gordon Ramsay described the takeover as "astonishing, and involved Jean-Christophe Novelli, a man who Marco probably thinks should be in his eternal debt. Marco was dying to get his hands on Les Saveurs, in Curzon Street." Hospitality described the restaurant as "the upmarket Mayfair eatery that earned him [Novelli] yet another Michelin Star".The venue reopened in 1999 as Novelli at Curzon Street.

The Isthmian Club, founded in 1882, later had premises at 105, Piccadilly, London, in a grand five-bay house that had belonged to Sir Julian Goldsmid, Bt. The non-political club was open to "Gentlemen who have been educated at one of the universities or public schools, and for officers of the army and navy," who were voted in by ballot of the steering committee. Its members were active in rowing, cricket and other sports.The Isthmian League, still existing as a prominent regional football league covering London and South East England featuring semi-professional and amateur clubs, was founded in 1905 by amateur clubs in the London area. The club's Account Book, 1889–97, is conserved by the Westminster City Council (Acc. no. 776).
