The inscription A.D.U.G. stands for the Allgemeine Deutsche Unterstützungsgesellschaft (General German Aid Society) that constructed the building.

118 Modules is an outdoor 1979 sculpture by American artist John Rogers, located at the parking garage at Southwest Yamhill Street between Southwest 9th and 10th Avenues in downtown Portland, Oregon. The slip-cast white stoneware sculpture measures 4 feet (1.2 m) x 23 feet (7.0 m) x 5 inches (0.13 m). It was funded by the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act (CETA) and marks the artist's first public art commission. The Fine Arts Building is a low-rise, 6-story historic building located at 1017 Southwest Morrison Street in downtown Portland, Oregon. Completed in 1906, the Fine Arts Building has long been home to studios of Portland teaching musicians, artists and artisans. Portland's popular Alpha-Centauri used book store operated in the ground level of the building during the 1970s. The vintage clothing store Ray's Ragtime was located in the building's ground floor from 1986 to 2016.

The Central Library is a three-story public library branch in the downtown core of Portland, Oregon, United States. Opened in 1913, it serves as the main branch of the Multnomah County Library system. In 1979, the Georgian style building was added to the National Register of Historic Places as the Central Building, Public Library. The library underwent major structural and interior renovations in the mid 1990s.

Playhouse Theatre, formerly known as Baker Theatre (also incorrectly Baker's Theatre), Dufwin, Alcazar, Music Box, and El Capitan, was a theatre in Portland, Oregon, in the United States.

The Elks Temple, also known as the Princeton Building and as the west wing of the Sentinel hotel, is a former Elks building and historic hotel building in downtown Portland, Oregon, United States. Built in 1923, it is one of two NRHP-listed buildings that make up the Sentinel Hotel, the other being the 1909-built Seward Hotel. The Seward was renamed the Governor Hotel in 1932, and in 1992 it was joined with the former Elks building, and thereafter the building became the west wing of a two-building hotel, an expanded Governor Hotel. The hotel's main entrance was moved to this building from the east building in 2004. The Governor Hotel was renamed the Sentinel Hotel in 2014. Use of the building as an Elks temple lasted less than a decade, ending in 1932.

According to the Public Library Association, it ranks second among U.S. libraries, based on circulation of books and materials, and ranks first among libraries serving fewer than one million residents. In this respect, it is the busiest in the nation.
