Wawayanda State Park

Maple Hill is a mountain in northeastern Sussex County, New Jersey. The summit rises to 1,224 feet (373 m). The Appalachian Trail passes Maple Hill, but does not ascend to the summit. It is part of the New York–New Jersey Highlands of the Appalachian Mountains.

Upper Greenwood Lake is a census-designated place (CDP) in Passaic and Sussex counties, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It includes residential neighborhoods around the northern and central parts of its namesake lake. It is primarily in West Milford Township in Passaic County but extends to the northwest into Vernon Township in Sussex County. It is bordered to the west by Wawayanda State Park, to the southeast by Abram S. Hewitt State Forest, and to the northeast by the town of Warwick in Orange County, New York. The lake drains to the northeast into Long House Creek, which descends into New York and joins Wawayanda Creek, a west-flowing tributary of Pochuck Creek, which in turn runs north to the Wallkill River, a northeast-flowing tributary of the Hudson. The Upper Greenwood Lake community was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

High Breeze Farm, also known as Barrett Farm, is located in the Highland Lakes section of Vernon Township, in Sussex County, New Jersey, United States.

The General John Hathorn Stone House is located on Hathorn Road in the town of Warwick, New York, United States, just off NY 94 a mile south of the village of Warwick. It was built by Hathorn in 1773 but expanded considerably in the mid-19th century.It is on a 14-acre (5.6-ha) lot, the remainder of the original 300 acres (120 ha) Hathorn and his family farmed. In 2001 it and an early-19th-century outbuilding were listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Warwick Valley High School (WVHS) is located on Sanfordville Road outside the Village of Warwick, New York, United States. It educates students in grades 9 through 12 in the Warwick Valley Central School District, which covers most of the village and town of Warwick, including the hamlet of Pine Island. Students in those portions of the town near the village of Florida and the village of Greenwood Lake attend other high schools. A referendum to send students from the latter community to WVHS failed in 2007.

Wawayanda Creek (pronounced "way way yonda") is the name of Pochuck Creek above its confluence with the tributary Black Creek. It is 17.0 miles (27.4 km) long. Wawayanda Creek, via Pochuck Creek, is a tributary of the Wallkill River in Sussex County, New Jersey in the United States. It starts northeast of Warwick, New York, and runs southwest, mostly within Orange County, flowing into New Jersey for several miles to its confluence with Black Creek just north of Highland Lakes, forming Pochuck Creek, which flows north back into New York.

The Jeremiah Morehouse House is located on Hathorn Road in Warwick, New York, United States, just off NY 94. It is a wooden house that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006. It is on a 9-acre (3.6 ha) lot adjacent to the General John Hathorn Stone House, also listed on the Register. The house was originally built in 1767 by Abijah Morehouse, an early settler of the Warwick region who had arrived from Connecticut, and parts of it reflect English building traditions more common there. His descendants, particularly his son Jeremiah, extensively renovated it in the early 19th century, adding elements of that era's dominant Greek Revival style.

Bearfort Mountain, historically known as Bear Ford Mountain, is a mountain ridge located near Wawayanda State Park in West Milford, Passaic County, New Jersey. It is a continuation of Bellvale Mountain in New York. The Appalachian Trail crosses along the ridge into New York. Puddingstone of the Skunnemunk Conglomerate is visible along the ridge.At an elevation of 1,331 feet (406 m) the ridge is the site of a 68 feet (21 m) high fire lookout tower built by the New Jersey Forest Fire Service.The mountain was depicted in an 1850 painting by Jasper Francis Cropsey, an American landscape artist of the Hudson River School.

Highland Lakes is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Vernon Township, in Sussex County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 4,933. Highland Lakes has its own Post Office with the ZIP Code 07422.

Bellvale Mountain is a mountain range located near Bellvale in Orange County, New York. It is a continuation of Bearfort Mountain in New Jersey. The Appalachian Trail is located along the ridge of the mountain. Puddingstone of the Skunnemunk Conglomerate is visible along the ridge.

Abram S. Hewitt State Forest is a state forest by Hewitt in northwestern New Jersey that is 2,001 acres (8.10 km2). It is on the Bearfort Ridge of unusual conglomerate between Greenwood Lake and Upper Greenwood Lake. Its forests are part of the Northeastern coastal forests ecoregion. It has a number of overlooks and colorful bedrock. It is accessible only on foot, with trails including the Bearfort Trail, 3.0 miles (4.8 km) and white-blazed. Another trail is the Quail trail, 2.4 miles (3.9 km) and orange-blazed. Another is the Ernest Walter trail, 1.9 miles (3.1 km) and yellow-blazed. Also, the 1.2 miles (1.9 km) State Line trail is blazed with blue on white. Lastly, the Appalachian Trail traverses the forest's northwest corner along its route. The Appalachian Trail is approximately 2,200 miles (3,500 km) long.

Warwick is a village in Orange County, New York, United States, in the southeastern section of the town of Warwick. The village's population was 6,652 at the time of the 2020 census. It is part of the New York–Newark–Bridgeport, NY-NJ-CT-PA Combined Statistical Area.
