Templeton is a town in Worcester County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 8,149 at the 2020 census. The town comprises four main villages: Templeton Center, East Templeton, Baldwinville, and Otter River.

The Templeton Common Historic District encompasses the historic town center of Templeton, Massachusetts. Laid out in the 1750s, the area has been the focus of the town's civic and economic affairs since, and includes its finest assortment of 18th and early 19th-century architecture. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. The district was in 2010 named as one of the 1,000 places to visit in Massachusetts by the Great Places in Massachusetts Commission.

Narragansett Regional High School (NRHS) is a US public high school serving students from the towns of Templeton, Massachusetts and Phillipston, Massachusetts, United States. The principal is Colby young Vasil, previously principal of Millbury Jr./Sr. High, began her tenure with Narragansett on July 1, 2016. The vice principal is Colby Young. The Narragansett Regional School District superintendent is Christopher Casavant. The school is located in Baldwinville, a village that is part of Templeton. In 2010, a multimillion-dollar project to erect a 1.5 megawatt wind turbine was completed behind the school's practice field. The turbine was named after John LeClerc, a middle school technology teacher. The LeClerc Wind Turbine serves as the finish area for the LeClerc Wind Turbine 5K. The race is run annually on the first Saturday in August as a scholarship benefit for Narragansett Cross Country Runners.

The Burnshirt River is a 12.9-mile-long (20.8 km) stream in Worcester County, Massachusetts. It is a tributary of the Ware River, draining ultimately into the Connecticut River and thence the Long Island Sound. The river rises about one mile southwest of Templeton, Massachusetts at an elevation of 653 feet (199 m) above sea level. From there it flows through forest and marshes south to Williamsville, then southeast to join the Ware River about two miles east of Barre. It is stocked with trout for fishing. For much of its length, the river is paralleled by the former Ware River Railroad, now the Ware River Rail Trail.

The Baldwinville Village Historic District encompasses the historic elements of the village of Baldwinville, a 19th-century mill village in northern Templeton, Massachusetts. Although its industrial elements have largely been lost, the district retains period housing and civic buildings. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on April 12, 1983, and included in the West Gardner Square Historic District on December 30, 1985.

The Gardner News Building is a historic commercial building located at 309 Central Street in Gardner, Massachusetts. Built in 1906, it has served since its construction as the home of the Gardner News, a mainstay of the local news industry. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 14, 1979, and included in the West Gardner Square Historic District on December 30, 1985.

The Blue Moon Diner, originally the Miss Toy Town Diner, is a historic diner in Gardner, Massachusetts. Built in 1949, it is well-preserved example of a late-model barrel-roofed diner manufactured by the Worcester Lunch Car Company. It has been located at its present location since 1954. The diner was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.
