The Baldwinville Village Historic District encompasses the historic elements of the village of Baldwinville, a 19th-century mill village in northern Templeton, Massachusetts. Although its industrial elements have largely been lost, the district retains period housing and civic buildings. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

WJWT (91.7 FM) is a radio station airing a Christian format licensed to serve Gardner, Massachusetts. The station is owned by Horizon Christian Fellowship and is an affiliate of RenewFM. WJWT's programming consists of Christian music and Christian talk and teaching programs such as Turning Point with David Jeremiah, and Truth for Life with Alistair Begg. WJWT was previously owned by CSN International and derived a portion of its programming from the Calvary Satellite Network.The station was assigned the WJWT callsign by the Federal Communications Commission on July 9, 2003.

Lake Dennison Recreation Area is a 121-acre (49 ha) Massachusetts state park located in the town of Winchendon. It comprises a small portion of the 4,221 acres (1,708 ha) of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Birch Hill Flood Control Project that are managed by the Department of Conservation and Recreation and that also include Otter River State Forest.

Otter River State Forest is a publicly owned forest and recreational preserve located in the towns of Templeton, Winchendon, and Royalston in Massachusetts managed by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. The state forest encompasses the land surrounding the junction of the Otter and Millers rivers. Habitats include freshwater marsh, northern hardwood stands, and pine groves planted by the Civilian Conservation Corps to reforest former farmlands.

The Templeton Developmental Center was a state-run facility for mentally disabled people located in Templeton, in the U.S. state of Massachusetts. Founded as the Templeton Farm Colony in 1899 through the efforts of Walter E. Fernald, superintendent of what is now called the Fernald School in Waltham, Massachusetts, it was considered an innovative and progressive facility for managing the state's developmentally disabled population at the time. The large facility was closed in 2015, with some intermediate care facilities remaining open on the campus. The property and some of the buildings were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Whitney Tavern is a historic 19th century tavern at 11 Patriots Road in Templeton, Massachusetts. The oldest portion of this rambling wood-frame structure (now a private residence) is a modest "A frame" structure built c. 1782 by Joshua Tucker as a tavern on the main road between Templeton and Gardner (in which town part of the property lies). The tavern was a major local landmark, sited on a turnpike, until it was sidelined by the advent of the railroads in the mid-19th century. The building, reduced in size after it closed, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

The Otter River is a river in Massachusetts that flows approximately 10 miles and is a major tributary of the Millers River which in turn is a tributary of the Connecticut River. The Otter River enters the Millers River in Winchendon in Otter River State Forest.
