Glasgow East (UK Parliament constituency)

Sandyhills is an area of the Scottish city of Glasgow. It is situated north of the River Clyde and has fallen within the Shettleston ward of Glasgow City Council since 2007. The area is bordered by Shettleston to the west, Barrachnie (part of Baillieston) to the east, Mount Vernon to the south-east and Tollcross to the south-west; it is separated from Springboig to the north-west and Barlanark to the north-east by the North Clyde Line railway. A golf course bearing the Sandyhills name forms much of the southern boundary.

Barlanark ( bar-LAH-nərk) is a district in Glasgow. It is situated east of Budhill, Shettleston and Springboig, north west of Baillieston, west of Springhill and Swinton and south of Easthall, Easterhouse and Wellhouse.

Queenslie is a district in the Scottish city of Glasgow. Established in the 1950s as a large industrial estate with a small area of residential housing with a primary school, by the late 1990s the condition of the tenement properties had deteriorated and the local authority decided to demolish them altogether and extend the industrial provision, which in the early 21st century is the largest such dedicated estate in the city (Hillington falls just outside the city boundaries).

Springboig is a neighbourhood in the east end of the Scottish city of Glasgow, situated north of the River Clyde. Administratively, it has been within the city's East Centre ward since 2017, having previously been in the Baillieston ward. Springboig is bordered to the south by Shettleston and Budhill, to the east by Barlanark and Sandymount Cemetery, directly to the west by Greenfield with Carntyne, St Andrews Secondary School, Lightburn Hospital and Greenfield Park beyond, and to the north by the Edinburgh Road (A8), with Cranhill and Queenslie on the opposite side of the carriageways.

Mount Vernon railway station served the Mount Vernon area of Glasgow, Scotland on the Glasgow, Bothwell, Hamilton and Coatbridge Railway between Shettleston and Hamilton.

St Serf's Church is an early 20th-century church building of the Scottish Episcopal Church, located in the Shettleston area of Glasgow.

Budhill is a neighbourhood in the east end of Glasgow. It is situated north of the River Clyde. It is situated between Springboig to the north-east, Greenfield to the north-west and Shettleston to the south. The area is associated with Scottish rock band The Fratellis, where the band used to play in a studio above a Chinese restaurant. The Fratellis also released a collection of songs from 2006 to the present day, called 'The Budhill Singles Club'. The name "Budhill" refers to the area of Glasgow where Barry was born. They also visit Budhill Square during the video for Creepin' Up the Backstairs. Budhill Square is also the location of Shettleston railway station (managed by ScotRail). A large Tesco supermarket and Aldi serve this area on the Shettleston side of the railway. Budhill Park has a play area and a football pitch which is the home ground of women's amateur team Glasgow Girls F.C.

Shettleston railway station serves the Shettleston area of Glasgow, Scotland and is 3½ miles (5 km) east of Glasgow Queen Street railway station on the North Clyde Line. The station is managed by ScotRail.

Mount Vernon is a residential area in the east end of the city of Glasgow, Scotland. It directly borders Sandyhills and Foxley to the west, while Barlanark is the closest neighbourhood to the north, Barrachnie and Baillieston to the east and Carmyle to the south, although Mount Vernon is separated from these by areas of open land, including Early Braes public park and the former Kenmuir farm.

Barrachnie is a place in Glasgow, Scotland adjacent to Garrowhill.

Wellhouse is a residential neighbourhood in the East End of the Scottish city of Glasgow. Since 2007 it has been part of the Baillieston administrative ward within the Glasgow City Council area.
