Huguenot Fort

The Oxford Main Street Historic District is a national historic district encompassing the historic center of Oxford, Massachusetts. The 95-acre (38 ha) district extends along Main Street from Huguenot Street in the south to Front Street in the north. Its oldest buildings are residential houses built in the late 19th century, while most of the properties were built in the 19th century, with Greek Revival architecture predominating. The oldest commercial building, the John Wetherell Store, was built c. 1817, and now houses offices. The district includes four churches, including the 1793 Universalist church and 1829 First Congregational Church, and a number of municipal buildings, including the town hall, two schools, and the 1903 Classical Revival Charles Larned Memorial Library.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

Camp Hill was an encampment site of the Provisional Army of the United States that existed from 1799 to 1800 in Oxford, Massachusetts. A marker placed by the General Ebenezer Learned chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution commemorates the encampment of Colonel Nathan Rice's regiment in those years. The camp was visited by Alexander Hamilton as the Senior Officer of the United States Army in 1800.

Hodges Village Dam, a United States Army Corps of Engineers flood control project on the French River (Massachusetts) in Oxford, Massachusetts was built in 1959 as a response to the 1936 floods which took lives and caused tremendous property damage in the Thames River basin of Connecticut. The western side of the French River is open to hunting, fishing, hiking, and boating. There are more than 18.2 miles of hiking trails on the property, as well as motorized bike trails on the west side of the river. ATV's and quads are restricted from the area. However, motorized bikes are allowed only on the west side of the river. There is a frisbee golf course that runs alongside the dam. The 90 mile Midstate Trail passes through the project. Hodges Village Dam is managed as a unit with the nearby Buffumville Lake.

The Hudson House is a historic First Period house in Oxford, Massachusetts. It is a 2+1⁄2-story timber-frame house, five bays wide, with a side gable roof, central chimney, and clapboard siding. The main facade is symmetrical. with a modern central entrance in the Georgian Revival style, with sidelights and pilasters at the sides, and an entablature above. The house has a section that was probably built c. 1720 by William Hudson, one of the first English settlers of Oxford. It was probably extended from three bays to five later in the 18th century. It remained in Hudson family hands until about 1960. It is believed to be Oxford's oldest standing building*.As a added point the first meeting house in Oxford MA, still stands to this day traced back to 1713 as it's build date. But the Local historic society doesn't want to recognize this as this takes away from one of their members making $ off claiming her house is oldest in town. Oxford High School is a public high school in Oxford, Massachusetts. The school is operated by the Oxford Public Schools district. Before the new building on Carbuncle Drive, the original Oxford High on Main Street was designed in 1906 by the architecture firm Cutting, Carleton & Cutting.

WQVR (940 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a classic hits format. Licensed to Webster, Massachusetts, United States, the station serves the Worcester area. The station is owned by Kurt Jackson, through licensee Quinebaug Valley Broadcasting, LLC. Its programming is also heard on translator station W257EH (99.3 FM). WQVR serves Southern Worcester County, Northern Rhode Island and Northeastern Connecticut. WQVR also provides the area with local high school sports coverage.

The West Sutton Historic District encompasses the rural southwestern section of Sutton, Massachusetts, including the rural village of West Sutton, which stretches along Central Turnpike from Manchaug Road to the Oxford town line. Most of its 460 acres (190 ha) are taken up by farmsteads and the associated agricultural lands. The village, which consists primarily of residential properties from the 18th and 19th centuries, also includes a church, cemetery, former tavern, former school, and evidence of an early industrial past, including one extant sawmill which dates to 1831.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

First Baptist Church of Sutton is a Baptist church in the town of Sutton, Massachusetts and was founded on September 9, 1735, by the Reverend Benjamin Marsh one of the founding fathers of the town and Thomas Green. It is the fourth oldest Baptist church in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The First Baptist Church of Sutton was organized, in 1735. With the exception of a ten-year period of being inactive, in the war years from 1775 to 1785, there have been almost steady services of worship and activities carried on by the men and women of this church. The first structure (1750) was located just down the road where Sutton High School is now, the second (1792) was built on where the current police and fire departments are, and third structure was built on what is now Central Turnpike in 1829 and is part of the West Sutton Historic District with the Fellowship Hall added in 1959. The sanctuary building is in the Greek Revival style of the time. The church is tied to many of the historic families that have and still call Sutton home. Among the names we read the names of Putnam, Buard, Waters, Davis, Freeland, Brigham, King, Marble, Titus, Rich, Dana, Merriam, Lamb, Sibley, Shaw, Moore, Burdon, Luther, Whittier, Plummer, Wallace, Leonard. First Baptist Church is part of the North American Missions Board Revitalize and Replant effort in New England stopping the 17 churches that close every week in America. Through the years the church has been also known through the town and region as Legacy Church, First Baptist Sutton, West Sutton Baptist Church, Sutton Baptist Church, Baptist Meetinghouse, and its original founding name by Rev. Marsh, The Frontier Church.

The Rock Castle School is a historic school building on Prospect Street in Webster, Massachusetts. The two story masonry building was built in 1871, and was Webster's second high school building. It served that purpose until 1905, after which it intermittently served a variety of public and private educational purposes until 1972. The building has Italianate styling, with high and narrow round-arch windows, and a projecting central pavilion that has a gable end with an oculus window. The building is predominantly light shades of polychrome granite, with brick quoining.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. It has been converted to residential use.

St. Joseph Parish is a Catholic parish in Webster, Massachusetts, located in the Diocese of Worcester. Founded in 1887, it was the first parish designated for Polish immigrants in New England. In 1998, its parish church was raised to the dignity of a minor basilica by Pope John Paul II.
