Karnavati University (KU) is a private university located in Uvarsad, near Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. The University was established in 2017 by the Karnavati Medical and Educational Trust through The Gujarat Private Universities (Amendment) Act, 2017, which also established Swarnim Startup & Innovation University, P P Savani University and Indrashil University.

Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT), is a private Self-financed University/Institute located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. It is named after the Gujarati entrepreneur and Reliance group founder Dhirubhai Ambani. It is run by the Dhirubhai Ambani Foundation and is promoted by the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group.

From a modest beginning in 1987, SMVS has developed into a multifaceted institution. SMVS has 100 main centres throughout Gujarat and abroad, wherein 100 saints, 100 lady saints, and about 10,000 volunteers are entrusted religious duties. Many of their saints and devotees have visited India, UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Dubai, and other parts of the world to propagate preaching and teaching of Sahajanand Swami and also to monitor construction and expansion of SMVS Swaminarayan temples as well as other related religious and cultural activities such as functioning of medical centres, old age homes, schools, hospitals, and other charities. SMVS operates in the educational field, medical-health services, tribal upliftment, natural calamities, etc. through SMVS Charities, a separate non-profit aid organization which has spearheaded a number of projects.

GMERS Medical College and Hospital, Gandhinagar is a medical college located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. It was established in 2012. The college imparts the degree Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS). Nursing and para-medical courses are also offered. The college is affiliated with Gujarat University. It is recognized by the National Medical Commission.. The hospital associated with the college is one of the largest hospitals in the Gandhinagar. The selection to the college is made based on merit through National Eligibility and Entrance Test. Yearly undergraduate student intake is 200.

Mahatma Mandir is a convention and exhibition centre located at sector 13 C in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. It is inspired by the life and philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi. It is one of the biggest convention centres in India, spread over an area of 34 acres (14 ha; 0.053 sq mi). It was developed by the Government of Gujarat. Business summits like Vibrant Gujarat Global Investor Summit 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019 were organised here.

Gandhinagar Railway Station or Gandhinagar Capital (Station Code: GNC) is a major railway station with a 5-star hotel on its top in the city of Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Its serve as one of the suburban station of Ahmedabad from where some Ahmedabad bound trains operate from here

The Indroda Dinosaur and Fossil Park in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India, is a park that houses fossilized remains and petrified eggs of dinosaurs. It is a man-made fossil park and not the actual nesting grounds where the dinosaurs lived. The eggs and fossils on display here are from the world's 3rd-largest dinosaur fossil excavation site and 2nd-largest hatchery at Raiyoli, Balasinor, Gujarat. The Park was set up by the Geological Survey of India and is the only dinosaur museum in the country.

The Step-well of Ambapur is a stepwell in the village of Ambapur, close to the state capital, Gandhinagar. The stepwell is believed to be built in the 15th century although it doesn't have any inscription. The step-well or 'Vav', as it is called in Gujarati, is intricately carved and is five stories in depth. Such step wells were once integral to the semi-arid regions of Gujarat as they provided basic water needs for drinking, washing and bathing. These wells were also venues for festivals and sacred rituals.
