Landon School is a private, college preparatory school for boys in grades 3–12, with an enrollment of approximately 680 students, in Bethesda, Maryland, just outside Washington, D.C.

Burning Tree Club is a private, all-male golf club in Bethesda, Maryland. The course at Burning Tree has been played by numerous presidents, foreign dignitaries, high-ranking executive officials, members of Congress, and military leaders. The course was designed by architect Alister MacKenzie. The club has a strict policy forbidding women to enter the club, except under rare circumstances.

Oakmont is a village and special taxing district in Montgomery County, Maryland, United States. Chartered in 1918, the village includes both sides of Oak Place and the south side of Oakmont Avenue, across Old Georgetown Road from the National Institutes of Health, in the Bethesda postal area. The village has approximately 145 inhabitants in 52 homes.

The American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) is a professional medical organization representing Doctors of Podiatric Medicine (podiatrists) within the United States. The organization was founded in 1912 and is headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland. Approximately 80% of podiatrists in the US are members of the APMA. Under the APMA are 53 component societies in individual states and other jurisdictions, as well as 21 affiliated and related societies. Doctors of Podiatric Medicine are physicians and surgeons who practice on the lower extremities, primarily on the foot, ankle and lower leg. The preparatory education of most DPMs includes four years of undergraduate work, followed by four years in an accredited podiatric medical school, followed by a residency of 3–4 years. After residency, podiatric physicians may choose to pursue further education through fellowships in any subspecialty of podiatric medicine. APMA's Council on Podiatric Medical Education is the body designated by the US Department of Education to accredit the nation's podiatric medical schools. In addition, the Council has the responsibility to approve residency programs and continuing medical education programs. The Council recognizes certifying boards within podiatric medicine which meet its standards.The official journal of the APMA is the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association, established in 1907.

Holton-Arms is an independent college-preparatory school for girls in grades 3–12, located in Bethesda, Maryland. As of the 2021–22 school year, there were 667 students and 94 faculty. Since 2007, Susanna Jones has been Head of School. The school has three divisions, Lower School (grades 3–6), Middle School (7–8), and Upper School (9–12). Tuition for 2022-23 is $50,375 for grades 3-12. In 2021–2022, the financial aid budget was $5 million.

Greenwich Forest is a residential community in Bethesda, Maryland, between Old Georgetown Road, and Bradley Boulevard. Dating from the early 20th century, Greenwich Forest is a suburban neighborhood combining architectural design with the natural environment.A portion of the Greenwich Forest subdivision was designated a local historic district in 2012 when it was included in the Montgomery County Master Plan for Historic Preservation.

KID Museum (Kids’ Innovation & Discovery) is a children's museum and child-oriented maker space in the Washington, D.C. suburb of Bethesda, Maryland. In May of 2022, KID Museum opened a new location in Downtown Bethesda that provides a larger space for activities ranging from wood shop to robotics. The new space is nearly four times the size of the old space on the lower floor of Bethesda's Davis Library which will remain open for some programming. More than 330,000 people have visited the KID Museum since it opened in 2014. The Washington Post describes KID as "The museum’s hands-on programs teach skills such as collaboration, creativity and critical thinking, as well as such technical skills as designing and building and even using power tools."

Rochambeau The French International School of Washington DC is a private French international school in Montgomery County, Maryland, near Washington, D.C. It maintains its administrative headquarters and its secondary campus in Bethesda, and a joint preschool and elementary campus in Rockville.

The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) is part of the United States National Institutes of Health, which in turn is part of the Department of Health and Human Services. NIDDK is approximately the fifth-largest of the 27 NIH institutes. The institute's mission is to support research, training, and communication with the public in the topic areas of "diabetes and other endocrine and metabolic diseases; digestive diseases, nutritional disorders, and obesity; and kidney, urologic, and hematologic diseases". As of 2021, the Director of the institute is Griffin P. Rodgers, who assumed the position on an acting basis in 2006 and on a permanent basis in 2007.

Walt Whitman High School is a public high school in Bethesda, Maryland, United States. It honors American poet Walt Whitman. The school serves grades 9-12 for the Montgomery County Public Schools. In 2022, U.S. News & World Report ranked the school as the best high school in Maryland, #104 nationwide, and #1 in Montgomery County Public Schools High Schools.

The Bethesda Trolley Trail, at one time known as the North Bethesda Trail, is a 5.9-mile (9.5 km) long rail trail from Bouic Avenue next to the Twinbrook Metro Station in the city of Rockville to Battery Lane Park in Bethesda, Maryland.
