The Jan Kesner Gallery is a fine art photography gallery in Los Angeles, California. It was the first woman-owned photography gallery in Los Angeles when it was established in 1987. The gallery is known primarily for its focus on contemporary and master works with conceptual or minimal themes, and for its support of regional and international photography.

The Hollywood Melrose Hotel, also known previously as the Melrose Arms and later as the Monte Cristo Island Apartments, is a historic building on Melrose Avenue in Hollywood, California. Designed by S. Charles Lee, the structure was built in 1927. It has been used both as a hotel and apartments over the years of its existence, with commercial establishments on the first floor. In 1992, the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places based on its architecture. In April 2010, the hotel was reopened as the newly restored Hollywood Historic Hotel. Edmon Simonian and his family own the property, and operate a furniture gallery located on the hotel's street level. All of the hotel's facades, common spaces, staircases and 62 rooms were restored to their former 1920s glory following an 18-month interior and exterior renovation. By 2021, the hotel had been stripped of many of its restored components. The lobby no longer includes a fireplace, the walls have been repainted cream, and all the bathrooms have been remodeled with new, more generic tubs, sinks, and mirrors. It is Norman Revival in style, in interesting counterpoint to prevailing Spanish Colonial Revival styling in the area at the time.The address given in its NRHP registration document is "Melrose Boulevard", but the street is Melrose Avenue.

The Polar Palace in Los Angeles, California was an indoor, artificial ice rink. Primarily used as a figure skating rink, the building was also used for ice hockey and carnival shows throughout the years.

The South Serrano Avenue Historic District is a historic district of early 20th Century homes along the 400 block of South Serrano Avenue in the Mid-City section of Los Angeles, California. The block of well-preserved homes was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. It is the sole intact block of single family homes in an area having many large apartment buildings.The listing included 17 houses counted as contributing buildings, one non-contributing residence, and two vacant lots. All of the houses were built during the period from 1912 to 1921.Several of the buildings were designed by architect Frank M. Tyler: William & Mary Glascock House (1914), 451 S. Serrano Avenue Ellen and John Bolieu House (194), 414 S. Serrano Avenue Jose & Concepcion A. de Samaniego House (1914), 420 S. Serrano AvenueArchitect Harry Hayden Whiteley, who had worked in Tyler's office from 1907 to 1910, also designed some works in the district, and architect Henry J. Knauer designed one: the house at 403 S. Serrano Avenue.

Jardinette Apartments, now known as Marathon Apartments, is a four-story apartment building in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, designed by modernist Richard Neutra. It was Neutra's first commission in the United States. In his book Key Buildings of the Twentieth Century, Richard Weston called the Jardinette Apartments "one of the first Modernist buildings in America." It has also been called "America's first multi-family, International-style building."

SM Entertainment Square, also called SM Square, is the intersection of 6th Street and Oxford Avenue in the Koreatown district of Los Angeles. It was designated by Los Angeles City Council on October 28, 2020, in honor of SM Entertainment and its founder Lee Soo-man to recognize their achievement in the global music market by leading the K-pop industry.

Rancho La Brea was a 4,439-acre (17.96 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day Los Angeles County, California, given in 1828 to Antonio Jose Rocha and Nemisio Dominguez by José Antonio Carrillo, the alcalde of Los Angeles. Rancho La Brea consisted of one square league of land of what is now Wilshire's Miracle Mile, Hollywood, and parts of West Hollywood. The grant included the famous La Brea Tar Pits.
