Jardinette Apartments, now known as Marathon Apartments, is a four-story apartment building in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, designed by modernist Richard Neutra. It was Neutra's first commission in the United States. In his book Key Buildings of the Twentieth Century, Richard Weston called the Jardinette Apartments "one of the first Modernist buildings in America." It has also been called "America's first multi-family, International-style building."

The Hollywood Melrose Hotel, also known previously as the Melrose Arms and later as the Monte Cristo Island Apartments, is a historic building on Melrose Avenue in Hollywood, California. Designed by S. Charles Lee, the structure was built in 1927. It has been used both as a hotel and apartments over the years of its existence, with commercial establishments on the first floor. In 1992, the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places based on its architecture. In April 2010, the hotel was reopened as the newly restored Hollywood Historic Hotel. Edmon Simonian and his family own the property, and operate a furniture gallery located on the hotel's street level. All of the hotel's facades, common spaces, staircases and 62 rooms were restored to their former 1920s glory following an 18-month interior and exterior renovation. By 2021, the hotel had been stripped of many of its restored components. The lobby no longer includes a fireplace, the walls have been repainted cream, and all the bathrooms have been remodeled with new, more generic tubs, sinks, and mirrors. It is Norman Revival in style, in interesting counterpoint to prevailing Spanish Colonial Revival styling in the area at the time.The address given in its NRHP registration document is "Melrose Boulevard", but the street is Melrose Avenue.

Beverly Hot Springs is the only remaining natural geothermal hot spring within the center of the city of Los Angeles. It is located between Beverly Hills and downtown Los Angeles on what is now Oxford Avenue.

The Tiki Adult Theater, at one time signed as the Tiki Theater Xymposium, is an adult theater in Los Angeles, California, located on Santa Monica Boulevard. As of 2021, it was the last remaining adult theater in Los Angeles. It was formerly part of the Pussycat Theater chain of pornographic movie theaters. As of 2017, it was open 24 hours a day, with a ticket buying 4 hours admission.

Identity School of Acting is a part-time drama school that was founded in London, England by Femi Oguns in 2003. A second branch and campus opened in Los Angeles, California in 2018. Identity School of Acting began in 2003 with 10 students at the Arcola Theatre in Hackney. Although open to prospective students of all ethnicities, Oguns founded the institution with the intent of reaching out to black and minority actors and promoting the diversity of the real world on stage and onscreen, as well as holding casting directors to account due to the lack of opportunity he had found in his own early acting experiences. The school later moved to Holborn, and then again to Brixton, as well as offering online classes. The school offers part-time acting training starting at age 16. The school is affiliated with Identity Agency Group, which was established in 2006. However, the agency is a separate entity; not all students and alumni are necessarily represented by the agency, and not every actor represented by IAG is necessarily a student or alumnus of IDSA.The Los Angeles branch of Identity School was launched in 2018 with alumni John Boyega, Letitia Wright, Malachi Kirby, Damson Idris, and Melanie Liburd as patrons of the new faculty. Oguns and Boyega launched a production arm of the institution, Identity Filmworks, in 2019.

The Polar Palace in Los Angeles, California was an indoor, artificial ice rink. Primarily used as a figure skating rink, the building was also used for ice hockey and carnival shows throughout the years.

Hollywood Star Lanes was a 32-lane bowling alley located on Santa Monica Boulevard in Los Angeles, California. Open from 1960 to 2002, the alley was featured in the film The Big Lebowski, which was filmed on location over three weeks of the eleven-week filming schedule. It was also a filming location for The Big Empty. In 2002, the alley was closed after the Los Angeles Unified School District seized the land by eminent domain in order to build an elementary school at the site (today known as Kingsley Elementary School).In July 1977, the area behind the bowling alley was used by the FBI as a staging area to conduct a raid on two nearby Scientology locations.

Wilshire Branch Library is a branch library of the Los Angeles Public Library located in the Mid-Wilshire section of Los Angeles, California. It was built in 1926 based on an Italian Romanesque design by architect Allen Ruoff. In 1987, the Wilshire Branch and several other branch libraries in Los Angeles were added to the National Register of Historic Places as part of a thematic group submission. The application noted that the branch libraries had been constructed in a variety of period revival styles to house the initial branch library system of the City of Los Angeles.

The Jan Kesner Gallery is a fine art photography gallery in Los Angeles, California. It was the first woman-owned photography gallery in Los Angeles when it was established in 1987. The gallery is known primarily for its focus on contemporary and master works with conceptual or minimal themes, and for its support of regional and international photography.

Il Corral was a venue located in Los Angeles, California. that provided performance space for underground artists. It was founded by Bob Bellerue and Stane Hubert in January 2005. Bellerue ceased involvement in September 2006; Hubert and Christie Scott continued the venture until December 2007.Il Corral provided for music and film festivals: The Turn the Screws Fest, Noisepollination, Harsh Noise v. Metal, Druid Underground Film Festival, Aloud Fest, Salient Lock-Up, The Curse of El Topo, Bent, Hollywood Nihilist Comedy Spectacular and Thee Dung Mummy; benefit shows for the Los Angeles Eco-Village, Kill-Radio and Tarantula Hill; and workshops for circuit bending and puppetry. It was a centre for L.A. director Sean Carnage's weekly Monday night event. Carnage's "Monday nights" were documented in the movie 40 Bands 80 Minutes!, filmed entirely inside the Il Corral; in March 2007, after approximately 50 shows, Sean Carnage moved his Monday night events to Pehrspace.In addition to live recordings for CD and DVD, Il Corral hosted studio recordings for Amplified Piano Duets by Bob Bellerue & Jarrett Silberman, Snow White In Hell by KILT, Scavenger's Feast by Hive Mind, and also Corral Comp 05 for artists who had performed in the venue during 2005. Il Corral provided 215 live shows from January, 2006 until its closure in December 2007. It also served as a Bookshop and Record Store, selling cheap books on eclecticism, and music movies from the venue’s performers. Scott and Hubert opened a similar venue, Zero-Point, south of downtown L.A.; Bellerue left Los Angeles for Brooklyn curating numerous shows around NYC and most notably the Ende Tymes Fest since 2011.In October 2009, Il Corral was featured in Paper Cuts, a web site magazine produced by music label papercutsrecords.com.

Hollywood Forever Cemetery is a full-service cemetery, funeral home, crematory, and cultural events center which regularly hosts community events such as live music and summer movie screenings. It is one of the oldest cemeteries in Los Angeles, California and is located at 6000 Santa Monica Boulevard in the Hollywood district of Los Angeles. It was founded in 1899 as Hollywood Cemetery, and, from 1939, was known as Hollywood Memorial Park until 1998 when it was given its current name. The studios of Paramount Pictures are located at the south end of the same block, on 40 acres (16 ha) that were once part of the cemetery which held no interments. Individuals interred in the cemetery include many prominent people from the entertainment industry, as well as people who played vital roles in shaping Los Angeles.

Dearly Departed Tours and Artifact Museum was a guided bus tour of the locations of tragic events in Hollywood, Los Angeles, such as the site of the Tate–LaBianca murders perpetrated by members of the Manson Family, and an adjacent museum with artifacts from these events.The museum was on Santa Monica Boulevard, across from the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles, California. It opened in April 2017. It displayed a smashed 1966 Buick Electra sedan in which Jayne Mansfield died in 1968. Other items on display in the museum included a Marilyn Monroe lunch box, Mae West's false teeth, and a funeral urn with the ashes of Michu Meszaros, a dwarf and stunt double who played ALF.Via a crowdfunding campaign, the owner of the museum raised the funds to have Ken Weatherwax interred in Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery in North Hollywood in 2017.The museum shut down during the COVID-19 pandemic.
