Ullensaker

Hauerseter Station is a railway station located at Hauerseter in Ullensaker, Norway on the Trunk Line. The station was opened in 1894 and is served by commuter train R13 from Drammen via Oslo Central Station to Dal. From 1947 until the construction of Gardermoen Line and Oslo Airport, Gardermoen in the 1990s, Hauerseter was the terminal station of the Hauerseter–Gardermoen Line, a branch line that went to Gardermoen Air Station.

Hauerseter–Gardermoen Line (Norwegian: Hauerseter–Gardermobanen), previously also known as the Gardermoen Line, is an abandoned, 6.7-kilometer (4.2 mi) branch line in Ullensaker, Norway, which connected Hauerseter Station on the Trunk Line to Gardermoen Air Station. The line had three branches at Gardermoen, one of which led to Trandum. Plans for a branch existed from the early 20th century, but the line was not built until the German occupation of Norway in 1940, when the Luftwaffe upgraded Gardermoen. The line opened on 13 June 1941. After the end of the Second World War in 1945 the line was transferred to the Royal Norwegian Air Force. The line saw limited passenger and cargo traffic, mostly the haulage of aviation fuel. From the 1970s the line fell out of general use, although it was kept in case of war. The line was finally abandoned and the tracks partly removed in the early 2000s.

Nordby Station is a railway station located two kilometers north of Jessheim in Ullensaker, Norway on the Trunk Line. The station was built in 1932 and is served by the Oslo Commuter Rail R13 from Drammen via Oslo S to Dal.

Hauerseter is a village in Ullensaker, Akershus, Norway. In rail transport, the village was covered by Hauerseter Station on the Trunk Line, formerly also a terminus on the Hauerseter–Gardermoen Line. The local sports club is Hauerseter SK.

Jessheim is a town in the Ullensaker municipality in Akershus of Norway.

Jessheim Station (Norwegian: Jessheim stasjon) is a railway station at Jessheim which opened in 1854. It is 44.60 kilometers (27.71 mi) from Oslo Central Station and has an elevation of 203.8 meters (669 ft) above mean sea level. The station is part of Norway's first railway, the Trunk Line, which ran from Kristiania (today known as Oslo) to Eidsvoll. The railroad had at the time of construction in 1854 named it Trøgstad, but due to the confusion with the town named Trøgstad in Østfold the name was changed in 1897 to Jessum. However, since the name was used blasphemically by some, in particular military recruits, who said they had come through Bøn (town north of Jessheim whose name sounds like 'prayer') to Jessum (which may sound like 'Jesus'). The local priests complained to the bishop who in 1900 discussed the matter with the parish council and suggested the form Jessheim. The name was changed to Jesseim. In 1920, the name was changed to Jessheim. The station has a brick building completed in 1908. The original building burned to the ground in the summer of 1904 after a robbery where the cash register was stolen. The station originally had a water tower to supply the steam locomotives running on the railway. Starting in 1935 the station operated a railway restaurant for a few years.The restaurant was established on 4 February 1923 and was originally run by Norsk Spisevognselskap. From 1 April 1925, operation was taken over by the station master. The ticketing personnel were replaced by ticketing machines in September 2005. Shortly thereafter the building was taken over by Romerike Opplevelser AS and converted to a shop and cafe named Kafé Jessum. In 2007 the building was converted to a restaurant serving Indian food.

Jessheim Stadion (previously called UKI Arena for sponsorship reasons) is a football stadium located at Jessheim in Ullensaker, Norway. Opened in August 2011, it is home of the First Division side Ullensaker/Kisa IL (Ull/Kisa). The venue consists of an all-seater grandstand with 1,130 under-roof seats on the one long side and a media center on the other side. One of the stands on the short sides has a roof, the other has not. The pitch has artificial turf and the dimensions 105 by 68 meters (115 by 74 yd).17 November 2015, Ull/Kisa's board decided that the arena would change its name from UKI Arena to Jessheim Stadion ahead of the 2016 season.

Jessheim Storsenter is a shopping centre located in the centre of Jessheim, Norway. The shopping centre was originally opened in 1968 under the name of Fakkelsenteret. The name roughly translates as 'the torch centre' and it had a sculpture of the Roman goddess Vesta holding a torch that originally was lit by a natural gas flame. On 31 May 1979 the HK-Senteret shopping centre was established next to Fakkelsenteret. It was built by Harald Kværner (HK) on the site of his grocery store. HK-Senteret was rebuilt in 1996, and was expanded in 1997 by Tore Kværner who at that point had taken over control of the centre. The new HK-Senteret reopened on 13 November 1997 and had space for 35 shops. Olav Thon purchased Fakkelsenteret in 1998. In 1999 Thon and Kværner initiated a joint operating agreement whereby the two centres would be merged. The combination was known as Jessheim Storsenter, and opened in 2003 after reconstruction that merged the two centres into one large building. After several expansions, the latest in 2008, the mall has now 144 stores.

The Gardermoen Line (Norwegian: Gardermobanen) is a high-speed railway line between Oslo and Eidsvoll, Norway, running past Lillestrøm and Oslo Airport, Gardermoen. The line is 64 kilometres (40 mi) long and replaced the older Hoved Line as the main line north-east of Oslo. The older Hoved Line now handles commuter and freight traffic, while the Gardermoen Line handles high-speed passenger trains and freight trains laden with jet fuel for the airport. Both lines are owned by Bane NOR. The line was opened in 1998, at the same time as the airport that gave the line its name. It is used by the Flytoget airport express train service as well as express trains by Vy. It is the only high-speed railway in Norway, with a maximum permitted speed of 210 km/h (130 mph). Most of the line between Oslo and Lillestrøm is through the 14.580-kilometre-long (9.060 mi; 15,945 yd) Romeriksporten tunnel—the second longest railway tunnel in Norway. The decision to build the line was made in 1992; construction started two years later. The line was subjected to severe criticism during construction when the Romerike Tunnel sprung severe leaks due to hurried construction. As a result, the tunnel was opened a year after the rest of the line.

Rakni's Mound (Norwegian: Raknehaugen) is a large mound at Ullensaker in Akershus county, Norway. It is the largest free-standing prehistoric monument in Norway and is one of the largest barrows in Northern Europe. It dates to the Migration Age and has been the subject of three archaeological investigations.

Norwegian County Road 174 (Norwegian: Fylkesvei 174) is 11.8 kilometers (7.3 mi) long and runs between Nordby and Dalstua in Ullensaker, Norway. Prior to 1 January 2010, it was known as National Road 174 (Riksvei 174).

Sand is a village in Ullensaker municipality in Akershus, Norway. The village lies halfway between Gardermoen and Jessheim. The village was previously its own urban area, but now is part of the urban area of Jessheim. Raknehaugen, Ljøgodttjernet, Olaløkka and Kjosbakken are places in Sand. Sand is the location of Ullensaker golfklubb (UGK). Sand also has its own football team, named Sand IL. The first team played for a while in the Norwegian 8th division and play their home games at the Olaløkka stadion. The sports club have activities for all ages, including skiing, basketball, table tennis, BMX, skateboarding, aerobics and dance.
