Sugartit (formerly known as Pleasant Ridge and later as Gunpowder in the 1920s) is a rural community in Boone County, Kentucky, United States. It was located at the intersection of U.S. Route 42 and Kentucky Route 237 between the cities of Florence and Union. Sugartit has been noted for its unusual place name.The community no longer exists and has mostly been annexed into Florence. The last surviving structure was the Sugartit Asphalt factory.

Union is a home rule-class city in Boone County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 7,416 as of the 2020 United States Census. The area was rural until residential growth in the 1990s and 2000s. Union is located 17 miles (27 km) southwest of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Randall K. Cooper High School (also known as Cooper High School) is a public high school located in Union, Kentucky, United States, in the Cincinnati metropolitan area. It is the fourth high school in the Boone County School system. The school was named in honor of the late founding principal of Ryle High School, Randy Cooper. Some middle schools that feed into this school are Ockerman Middle School, Camp Ernst Middle School, and Ballyshannon Middle School. This school was expanded before the 2014–2015 school year to accommodate growth that is occurring in surrounding neighborhoods that feed into the school.

Hempsteade Neighborhood is a subdivision in southeastern Union, Kentucky, United States. The north part of the neighborhood is adjacent to Mt. Zion Road (Kentucky Route 536), the south part of neighborhood almost borders Frogtown Road (KY 3060 east) but there is a small neighborhood in between, the east part of the neighborhood borders the estates that are along Gunpowder Road (Kentucky Route 237) and the west part of the neighborhood borders Hampshire neighborhood.

Oakbrook is a census-designated place (CDP) in Boone County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 9,268 at the 2020 census.

Hopeful Lutheran Church was chartered on January 6, 1806. It was founded by a group of colonists from Virginia who settled in Boone County. In 1807, the first log church was built on an acre of donated land. Hopeful did not have a full-time pastor until October 1813 when Rev. William Carpenter (a Revolutionary War veteran) moved to Boone County to be the first Pastor. While fires destroyed the first three structures, the current church building was finished in 1917 in Florence, Kentucky. This is the fourth church structure on the site serving the same Lutheran congregation.A group of 14 families associated with the Hebron Lutheran Church of Germanna, Madison Co. VA, settled in Boone County in 1805. Family names included Hoffman, Rouse, Tanner, Hanse, Carpenter, and Zimmermann. Their descendants are well represented in the current population of Boone County. Hopeful Lutheran Church was the first Lutheran church in the county and its first regular pastor, William Carpenter, moved to the area in 1813.

The Boone County Arboretum is a 121-acre (490,000 m2) arboretum located at 9190 Camp Ernst Road, Union, Kentucky, United States. It is open to the public without charge during daylight hours. The Arboretum first started as an idea in 1996, was formally dedicated in 1999, and now contains more than 3,300 plants, including over 1,400 trees and 1,900 shrubs, that represent over 873 taxa. All are labeled and recorded with a GPS location. The Arboretum also features approximately 2.5 miles (4 km) of walking trails. Boone County Arboretum is the nation's first arboretum within an active recreation park setting. The Arboretum is located just outside Union, KY. A short, 25 minute drive southwest from downtown Cincinnati, OH will put you in Northern Kentucky's only arboretum. The Arboretum is open daily from dawn to dusk for year-round enjoyment. Boone County Arboretum's collections will captivate everyone from the avid plantsman to the average homeowner. You will see specialized arrangements of plant families to obscure selections rarely observed by the public eye. To insure the facilities plants thrive in even the worst of droughts, a 41,000-foot (12,000 m) computerized irrigation system is designed around the plantings. The Arboretum's paved walking trails wind through the various plant collections, woodland settings, and athletic fields. Three informational kiosks are located at the main trail entrances, and contain horticultural information, Extension class offerings, visitors guides and the Arboretum collections map, all free to the public. Special attractions at the Arboretum include the Children's Garden, a Wildlife Viewing area in the Native Kentucky Prairie, and a new Woodland Walking Trail. Throughout the year various classes and programs are offered for all age groups. In addition, many of the Extension horticulture classes are taught on site at the Arboretum. In 2012, Boone County Arboretum became the first arboretum within the Greater Cincinnati Metro area and in the state of Kentucky, to be a Level IV Accredited Arboretum by the Morton Register.

Florence Mall is an indoor shopping mall in Florence, Kentucky, United States. Built in 1976 by Homart Development Company, the mall originally featured Sears, Shillito's, Pogue's, and JCPenney as its four anchor stores. The mall features over 100 stores and a food court. Another notable feature of the mall is the Florence Y'all Water Tower on the mall property; this water tower originally bore the mall's name, but was altered prior to the mall's opening. The mall's anchor stores are JCPenney and two locations of Macy's, with the former location of Sears being vacant. Florence Mall is owned and managed by Namdar Realty Group.

Florence is a home rule-class city in Boone County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 31,946 at the 2020 census. It is the second largest city in Northern Kentucky, the eighth-largest city in Kentucky and the state's largest that is not a county seat. Florence is part of the Cincinnati metropolitan area.

The Florence Y'all Water Tower is a water tower owned by the city of Florence, Kentucky, United States. It stands between the Florence Mall and Interstate 75/Interstate 71, where it is seen by millions of interstate motorists annually. The tower, built in 1974 and initially painted with the words FLORENCE MALL in giant letters, became a regional landmark after the M was changed to Y' to address legal concerns. The water tower, which can hold about 1 million US gallons (3,800 m3), stands in Boone County in northern Kentucky, due south of Runway 18L/36R of Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport and between I-75/I-71 and Mall Circle Road, northeast of the mall.

Thomas More Stadium is a stadium in Florence, Kentucky. It is primarily used for baseball and is the home field of the Florence Y'alls of the Frontier League, an independent baseball league. It originally opened in 2004 as Champion Window Field and holds 4,500 people.On November 27, 2012, the then-named Florence Freedom announced that UC Health, the healthcare system of the University of Cincinnati, had signed a 10-year naming rights deal, giving the ballpark its UC Health Stadium name. In May 2021, it was reported that the team was looking for a new naming rights partner after UC Health dropped its sponsorship, and that the team would be using the name Y'alls Ballpark for their home field. In March 2022, the Y'alls announced that Thomas More University had acquired the naming rights, and that the university's baseball team would play at Thomas More Stadium starting in 2023.

Boone County is a county located on the Ohio River in the northernmost part of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. As of the 2020 census, the population was 135,968, making it the fourth-most populous county in Kentucky. Its county seat is Burlington. The county was formed in 1798 from a portion of Campbell County. and was named for frontiersman Daniel Boone. Boone County, with Kenton and Campbell Counties, is of the Northern Kentucky metro area, and the Cincinnati-Middletown, OH-KY-IN Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is the location of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, which serves Cincinnati and the tri-state area.
