Höntrop

Wattenscheid-Höntrop station is a railway station in the district of Wattenscheid of the city of Bochum in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is on the 97 km-long (60 mi) route of Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn line S 1 from Dortmund to Solingen. Wattenscheid station, which is more than a kilometre to the northwest is only served by regional trains.

Westenfeld is a part of the former town of Wattenscheid in the Ruhr area in Germany. Westenfeld now belongs to the city of Bochum. Westenfeld has the railway station in Wattenscheid which is most frequented by passengers. Westenfeld is one of the most important areas of the German textile industry. Sevinghausen is a rural part of Wattenscheid not belonging to Westenfeld.

Wattenscheid station is on the Witten/Dortmund–Oberhausen/Duisburg railway. It is one of two stations in the formerly independent city of Wattenscheid, now a district of the city of Bochum in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The other station is Wattenscheid-Höntrop. In late 2007, Wattenscheid station was downgraded to a Haltepunkt (literally “halt”, meaning that it is not a rail junction and has no sets of points). It is located just south of central Wattenscheid, next to the A 40 autobahn on the western edge of an industrial area.

Eppendorf (German pronunciation ; Westphalian: Eppendörp) is a district of Bochum in the Ruhr area in North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany. It lies between Höntrop and Weitmar. The population used to speak Westphalian, but now High German languages are the norm. Eppendorf belongs to the Stadtbezirk (district of the town) of Wattenscheid, which was a town until 1974. Eppendorf is the richest part of Wattenscheid.

The population used to speak Westphalian, but now High German is the norm. It used to be the site of the regional association of the National Democratic Party of Germany, a party of the extreme right and formerly the site of the national headquarters of the NPD's youth organization. The football team (a fusion between DJK Westfalia and Union 1911) of Günnigfeld, the VfB Günnigfeld, plays in the Bezirksliga. Willi Schulz, Niko Bungert and Mike Terranova started their career in Günnigfeld.

The Essen-Ruhr-Bochum-Langendreer railway is a railway line in the Ruhr region of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Part of it is now disused.

Dahlhausen is a South-Western district of the city of Bochum in North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany. It borders Essen and Hattingen. A large part of the border of Dahlhausen is formed by the river Ruhr. South of the Ruhr is the district of Burgaltendorf of the city of Essen. Dahlhausen houses the well known railway museum of Dahlhausen. The Dr. C. Otto & Comp. is an old company of international importance. Bochum-Dahlhausen station is served by Line S 3 of the Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn. Tram line 318 of the Bochum Stadtbahn connects Dahlhausen to the historical centre of Bochum, which is similar in extent to the district of Gleisdreieck. Dahlhausen is in a way separate from the rest from the city, keeping a greater continuity than other parts of the city

Bochum-Dahlhausen station is located in the Dahlhausen district of Bochum in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The station building dates from the time of the First World War.

Bochum-Linden is a district of the City of Bochum in the Ruhr area in North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany. The population's main language was once Westphalian, but it has since been replaced by High German. Bochum-Linden is located in the south west of Bochum, between Dahlhausen and Stiepel. It shares a border with Hattingen, a city of Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis.

The Lohrheidestadion is a multi-use stadium in Bochum-Wattenscheid, Germany. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of SG Wattenscheid 09. The stadium is able to hold 16,233 people and opened in 1954. It is used for athletics by the local club TV Wattenscheid.

Hordel is a borough of the city of Bochum, Germany in the Ruhr area in North Rhine-Westphalia. It is situated in the North West of Bochum. It borders to Röhlinghausen, which now is a borough of Herne. The last mine of Bochum, Zeche Hannover was in Hordel. In Hordel there are several former mine railways.
