The Ephraim Atwood House is an historic house at 110 Hancock Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Built in 1839, it is a significant local example of transitional Greek Revival/Gothic Revival architecture, and one of the earliest houses built after the subdivision of Dana Hill. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 30, 1983.

Opposition House is an historic double house in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The two story hip-roofed wood-frame house was built in 1807 by Judge Francis Dana, who was seeking to prevent the laying of Harvard Street across his estate, making it a kind of spite house. Dana's efforts were unsuccessful; the road was routed around this house, which he had sited along the intended route. The house was moved to its present location in the 1860s. It is the oldest surviving house on Dana Hill.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The George Gale House is a historic double house in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The three story frame house was built in 1858 by father and son, George T. Gale and George ?. Gale. They owned a lumberyard together in Kendall Square. The building at 14-16 Clinton Street is unusual as a double house in the Italianate style. It has typical Italianate features, including a central gable on the front facade, an elaborately decorated front porch and deep eaves with brackets all around. It is distinctively sheathed in flushboarding, giving the appearance of stone.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988 to preserve the existing structure and in recognition of the innovative practices of the Gales. Their lumberyard, located in Kendall Square was the first to bring a spur of the rail system into the lumberyard to facilitate delivery of lumber at a time when Cambridge was growing.

The Plough and Stars is a bar and music venue in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It was founded in 1969 by brothers Peter and Padraig O'Malley, named after the play by Seán O'Casey. The Bigelow Street Historic District encompasses a uniform collection of 19th century houses on most of the length of Bigelow Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts, just northwest of Central Square. Bigelow Street was laid out in 1868, and the street was almost completely built out by 1874, resulting in a fairly uniform streetscape of Second Empire architecture. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The William R. Jones House is an historic house at 307 Harvard Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It is a 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame house, whose Second Empire styling includes a flared mansard roof and flushboarded siding scored to resemble ashlar stone. It has a rare example in Cambridge of a curvilinear front gable, in which is an oculus window. Its windows are topped by heavy decorative hoods, and the porch features square posts with large decorative brackets. The house was built c. 1865 for William R. Jones, a soap manufacturer, and typifies the houses that were built lining Harvard Street in the 19th century after the Dana estate was subdivided.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Cambridge, Massachusetts City Hall is the city hall for Cambridge, Massachusetts, located at 795 Massachusetts Avenue, and built in the Richardsonian Romanesque style. The building additionally serves as a centerpiece of the surrounding City Hall Historic District and adjacent Central Square Historic District.

The Isaac Melvin House is a historic house at 19 Centre Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This 2+1⁄2-story Greek Revival-Italianate house was built in 1842 by Oliver Wood and Isaac Melvin as the latter's home. Melvin is also notable for designing the North Avenue Congregational Church. Despite an Italianate T-shaped massing, the building's front facade is strongly Greek Revival, with 4 two-story pilasters supporting an entablature and topped by the fully pedimented gable end of the roof. The tympanum of the pediment has an Italianate round-arch window in it.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The City Hall Historic District is a historic district (United States) encompassing buildings important in the early growth of the Central Square area of Cambridge, Massachusetts. The focal point of the district is the monumental Richardsonian Romanesque Cambridge City Hall building on the north side of Massachusetts Avenue, two block west of the heart of the square. It also includes four buildings in the block just east of city hall, which is bounded by Bigelow and Temple Streets, Inman and Richard Allen Drives. City Hall was built in 1888 to a design by Longfellow, Alden & Harlow. Other buildings in the district include the Syrian Orthodox Catholic Church, built in 1822 and moved to 8 Inman Street from Lafayette Square in 1888, the 1888 Cambridge Mutual Fire Insurance Building at 763 Mass. Avenue, the 1912 Cambridge Electric Light Company Building at 719 Mass. Avenue, and the 1910 Cambridge YWCA at 7 Temple Street.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. In 1990, all of the district was also included in the larger Central Square Historic District.

The Clifton Merriman Post Office Building, also known as the U.S. Post Office-Central Square is an historic post office at 770 Massachusetts Avenue within Central Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The post office was built in 1933 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986 as "U.S. Post Office-Central Square". In 1992, the United States Congress passed a bill renaming it for Clifton Merriman, an African-American World War I veteran who later became assistant superintendent of the main Post Office in Cambridge.
