George M. Cohan's Theatre was a Broadway theatre that was built in 1911, and demolished in 1938. The theatre was designed by George Keister, and opened on February 13, 1911, starting with George M. Cohan's Get-Rich-Quick Wallingford, which moved from the Gaiety Theatre which Cohan also owned.Cohan considered the theatre to be a celebration of his career, with exhibits and murals of his work on display. 1911's The Little Millionaire was the first hit of the theatre. Potash and Perlmutter (1913) was a very big hit. In 1915, Cohan and his partner Sam H. Harris sold the theatre to Joe Leblang, a big discount ticket seller. Leblang had A. L. Erlanger manage the theatre. The theatre started also showing motion pictures by the early 1920s on the weekend, eventually making more money through that source than plays. The 1925 film version of Ben Hur had a long run. By 1933, the theatre stopped showing live theatre altogether, the Great Depression affecting Broadway significantly. The entire Fitzgerald Building and the theatre in which it was housed was demolished in late 1938. It is currently the site of 4 Times Square.

WNYE (91.5 MHz) is a non-commercial educational FM radio station licensed to New York City. The station is operated, along with WNYE-TV (channel 25), by NYC Media, a division of the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment. Studios are located at the City University of New York's Graduate Center at 365 Fifth Avenue, and the transmitter is at the former Condé Nast Building.

4 Times Square (also known as 151 West 42nd Street or One Five One; formerly the Condé Nast Building) is a 52-story skyscraper at Times Square in the Midtown Manhattan neighborhood of New York City. Located at 1472 Broadway, between 42nd and 43rd Streets, the building measures 809 ft (247 m) to its roof and 1,118 ft (341 m) to its antenna. The building was designed by Fox & Fowle and developed by the Durst Organization. 4 Times Square, and the Bank of America Tower to the east, occupy an entire city block. Fox & Fowle planned a masonry facade facing south and east, as well as a glass facade facing west and north. The northwest corner of the building's base contains the eight-story cylindrical facade of Nasdaq MarketSite, which includes a large LED sign. The top of 4 Times Square includes an antenna mast and four large illuminated signs on each side which read ‘H&M’. The building contains 1,600,000 sq ft (150,000 m2) of floor space, much of which was originally taken by publishing company Condé Nast and law firm Skadden Arps. The lowest three stories contain retail space while the fourth story has a food hall for tenants, originally designed by Frank Gehry for Condé Nast. 4 Times Square is an early example of green design in commercial skyscrapers in the United States. During the 1980s and early 1990s, Park Tower Realty and the Prudential Insurance Company of America had planned to develop a tower for the site as part of a wide-ranging redevelopment of West 42nd Street. After long opposing a tower there, Douglas Durst proposed an office building on the site in late 1995. Condé Nast and Skadden Arps leased the majority of the building in 1996, and the structure was finished in 1999. After Condé Nast and Skadden Arps moved out of the building during the 2010s, a variety of office tenants have occupied 4 Times Square. Several modifications have been made to the building after it opened, including an expansion of the antenna mast atop the building in 2003, as well as a renovation in the late 2010s.

It is the most active stock trading venue in the US by volume, and ranked second on the list of stock exchanges by market capitalization of shares traded, behind the New York Stock Exchange. The exchange platform is owned by Nasdaq, Inc., which also owns the Nasdaq Nordic stock market network and several U.S.-based stock and options exchanges.

The Trump Death Clock started as a website, and was later presented in billboard form in Times Square, displaying a claim to the number of deaths attributable to U.S. President Donald Trump's inaction during the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States. The clock was created by Eugene Jarecki. The billboard is on Broadway and West 43rd Street in Manhattan, New York City. The counter is based on the claim that had measures been implemented one week earlier, 60% of American COVID-19 deaths would have been avoided. On June 20, 2020, Eugene Jarecki drove a mobile version during the 2020 Trump Tulsa rally to ensure that Trump's supporters "[had] an opportunity to make an informed choice based on real numbers."

WNYE-TV, virtual channel 25 (UHF digital channel 24), is a non-commercial independent television station licensed to New York, New York, United States. The station is operated by NYC Media, a division of the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment, and is sister to public radio station WNYE (91.5 FM). The two stations share studios at the City University of New York's Graduate Center in Midtown Manhattan; WNYE-TV's transmitter is located at the Condé Nast Building.

WNWT-LD, virtual channel 37 (VHF digital channel 3), is a Local Now-affiliated television station licensed to New York, New York, United States. Owned by Chicago-based Weigel Broadcasting, it is a sister station to Weigel's duopoly of Middletown Township, New Jersey-licensed MeTV owned-and-operated station WJLP (channel 33) and Bridgeport, Connecticut-licensed MeTV Plus owned-and-operated station WZME (channel 43). WNWT-LD and WJLP share studios in Freehold Township, New Jersey, and transmitter facilities at 4 Times Square in midtown Manhattan. Despite WNWT-LD legally holding a low-power license, it transmits using WJLP's full-power spectrum. This ensures complete reception across the New York City television market. The station has used various virtual channels since its conversion to digital television in 2012, due to the lack of allocations in the New York and Philadelphia markets, starting on channel 3 (conflicting with KYW-TV), then 51 (averting a conflict with NJ PBS station WNJN on channel 50) from late 2013 until mid-2019, then 6 and 18 (conflicting with WPVI-TV, then WUVN in Hartford, Connecticut), before finally settling on channel 37 on August 1, 2019.

WJLP (channel 33) is a television station licensed to Middletown Township, New Jersey, United States, broadcasting the classic television network MeTV to the New York City area. It is owned and operated by network parent Weigel Broadcasting alongside Bridgeport, Connecticut–licensed MeTV Plus outlet WZME (channel 43); it is also sister to independent station WNWT-LD (channel 37, officially a low-power station, operating under a frequency sharing arrangement with WJLP). WJLP and WNWT-LD share studios in Freehold Township, New Jersey, and transmitter facilities at 4 Times Square in midtown Manhattan.

WBGO (88.3 FM, "Jazz 88") is a public radio station licensed to Newark, New Jersey. Studios and offices are located on Park Place in downtown Newark, and its transmitter is located at 4 Times Square in Manhattan. The station primarily plays jazz music. In addition the station airs public affairs programming, locally produced newscasts, traffic reports from Total Traffic during morning and afternoon rush hours, and NPR-produced newscasts and programming.

The World (originally opened as WWF New York) was a World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) themed restaurant, nightclub and retail store in Times Square in New York City, leased in the Paramount Theatre building. The venue was best known for featuring in segments on Monday Night Raw, and having Sunday Night Heat emanate from its complex, hosted by Michael Cole and Tazz from October 2000 to February 2002. The venue would also host special events such as Raw's 10th Anniversary and various autograph signings and appearances from WWE performers.

The Pabst Hotel occupied the north side of 42nd Street in Manhattan, New York City, between 7th Avenue and Broadway, in Longacre Square, from 1899 to 1902. It was demolished to make room for the new headquarters of The New York Times, for which Longacre Square was renamed Times Square. To the Pabst Brewing Company, the hotel and its restaurants were part of a nationwide program for promoting its beer. This facility, however, conflicted not only with the Times, but also with plans for New York's new subway system.

The Hotel Metropole was the first hotel in New York City that had running water in every room. Located in Manhattan at 147 West 43rd Street just off Times Square, the hotel, now known as the Casablanca Hotel Times Square, had a list of notable residents including Nick Arnstein and Western lawman-turned-sports writer Bat Masterson. In the early morning hours of July 16, 1912, the hotel was the site of the murder of Herman Rosenthal. Rosenthal was the owner of several New York gambling dens. This murder was allegedly at the behest of Charles Becker, a New York police detective who was executed in 1915 for that murder. James Thurber wrote an article about this called "Two O'Clock at the Metropole".The Metropole's reputation for attracting gamblers is referenced in F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel The Great Gatsby. It appears in the dialogue as the location of a restaurant favored by Meyer Wolfsheim.The Hotel Metropole later became the Hotel Rosoff and is now the Casablanca Hotel.
