Hamilton Pool Preserve

The Levi Rock Shelter, named for former property owner Malcolm Levi, is an archeological site west of Austin, Texas where Paleo-Indian Native American artifacts dating back 10,000 years or more have been discovered. Located along Lick Creek, the site was discovered in the mid-1950s and is believed to be the 7th-oldest paleolithic site in the United States. Many artifacts have been uncovered there, including Clovis points, carved bone cylinders, scrapers, awls, needles, punches, and incised and painted pebbles. Many are now in the care of the University of Texas. The site, and its adjoining creek, are believed by local activists to be threatened by nearby development. The shelter was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

Cypress Valley Canopy Tours is an aerial resort located along the Pedernales River in the Texas Hill Country. Founded in 2005, the company offers canopy tours, canopy walks, zip-lining and overnight treehouse accommodations for guests.

Briarcliff is a village in Travis County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,438 at the 2010 census.

Lake Travis Independent School District is a public school district headquartered in Austin, Texas, (USA). It was created on June 12, 1981, after school board members decided to split the Dripping Springs Independent School District in order to handle the growing population of the Lake Travis area. In 2011, the school district was rated "Exemplary" by the Texas Education Agency.

The Pedernales River ( PUR-də-NAL-iss) is a tributary of the Colorado River, approximately 106 miles (171 km) long, in Central Texas in the United States. It drains an area of the Edwards Plateau, flowing west to east across the Texas Hill Country west of Austin. The name "Pedernales", first used in the middle 18th century, comes from a Spanish word for the flint rocks characteristic of the riverbed.

Point Venture is a village in western Travis County, Texas. The population was 800 as of the 2010 census.Located on the north bank of Lake Travis, Point Venture was a second home and family vacation destination, since the early 1970s. It has matured into a community of full-time residents with over 150 children attending Lago Vista Schools. It features golfing, boating, lake access, and other amenities. Point Venture was incorporated in August 2000.The Lago Vista Independent School District serves area students.

Spicewood is an unincorporated community in Travis County and partially in Burnet County, Texas, United States. According to the Texas Almanac, the community had an estimated population of 2,000 in 2000. But in the 2011 census, the community had a population of 7,666. The community also extends towards Travis County off Highway 71. The community-proper, located at the intersection of C.R. 404 and Spur 191, is home to a community center, a former two-room local schoolhouse that was closed after merging with Marble Falls ISD. The community also contains a non-denominational church and a Church of Christ and was formerly the home of BJ Cafe, reputed to have been an occasional favorite of Willie Nelson. The Cafe closed in 1990 and is now a private residence and auto repair shop. In 2020, Willie Nelson was living on the Luck Ranch in Spicewood. He also performed in Spicewood during his Fourth of July Picnic on July 4–5, 2003, at Two River Canyon Amphitheater.

Krause Springs (Crow-zee) is a camping and swimming site located in the Hill Country of Texas. It is located in Spicewood, Texas, approximately 30 miles (48 km) northwest of Austin. The 115-acre (0.47 km2) property has 32 springs, and several feed the man-made pool and the natural pool which flow into Lake Travis. Two springs feed the 70' by 20' swimming pool at a rate of 70 gallons per minute at a temperature of about 70 degrees.Krause Springs is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has been privately owned by the Krause family for over 50 years.

The Hills is a village in Travis County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,472 at the 2010 census, making it the largest village in Texas. It is a suburb of Austin.

Dripping Springs High School is a comprehensive public high school in Dripping Springs, TX, located in Hays County, Texas. The only high school in the Dripping Springs Independent School District, it contains grades 9, 10, 11, and 12. Its enrollment is approximately 1,800. The principal is Angela Gamez, who was appointed in 2019.

The Pound Farmstead, also known as the Dr. Pound Pioneer Farmstead, is a historic farm located in Hays County, Texas United States. The original 750-acre (3.0 km2) farm was founded by Doctor Joseph McKegg Pound and his wife Sarah in 1854 in an unsettled area of Central Texas, now located in the City of Dripping Springs. The farmstead is currently a museum about the life and times of Dr. Pound, his family and descendants. The property was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 28, 1995. Pound first came to Texas 1847 to fight in the Mexican–American War. He returned to Kentucky to pursue his medical education. In 1853, he returned to Texas with his wife, Sarah, along with two other families, John Lee and Malvina Wallace and daughter, Carrie; and John Lauter and Indiana "Nannie" Moss and son, Joseph. Dr. Pound first bought acreage near Henly; however, by December 1854, he sold his holdings there and purchased the land in what would become Dripping Springs. It is believed the spot for the farm was chosen because it was on the road connecting Austin to Fort Martin Scott in Fredericksburg. The original Pound Home, the oldest existing building in Dripping Springs, was built as a "dog-trot" style log cabin, but was expanded to make room for Dr. Pound's medical practice. Dr. Pound was the earliest doctor in Hays County. The Pound house served as a medical office and hospital, church, schoolhouse, post office and social gathering place for the fledgling community of Dripping Springs. Dr. Pound also insisted on treating the local Indians with respect, and due to this was never raided. The Pounds had nine children. Four generations of the family occupied the farmstead over a period of 130 years, until 1983. The property was donated to the City of Dripping Springs in 1987. In 1990, restorations on the house began. The Dr. Joseph M. and Sarah Pound Historical Museum opened in May 2003 and is part of Founder's Park.

Lakeway is a city in Travis County, Texas, United States. The population was 19,189 at the 2020 census; up from 11,391 in 2010. The city is located next to Lake Travis. It is an exurb in Greater Austin.
