North Forsyth High School is a public high school located in Cumming, Georgia, United States, a suburb northeast of Atlanta. The school is located at 3635 Coal Mountain Drive. It is one of seven high schools in the Forsyth County School System and serves students residing in Northern Forsyth County, including the communities of Matt, Coal Mountain, Silver City, Chestatee and Oscarville.

WESI-LP (92.3 FM) is a radio station licensed to serve the community of Sugar Hill, Georgia. The station is owned by Iglesia de Cristo Elim Georgia, Inc., and airs a Spanish religious format. The station was assigned the WESI-LP call letters by the Federal Communications Commission on February 18, 2015.

Browns Bridge Church is a nondenominational Christian church located in Cumming, Georgia. It is one of eight locations of North Point Ministries. Andy Stanley is the senior pastor of North Point Ministries, and Adam Johnson is the lead pastor of Browns Bridge Church. Browns Bridge Church opened on October 8, 2006 as the third satellite location of North Point Ministries. The name of the church comes from the former Browns Bridge which spanned across Lake Lanier from 1956 until 2021.North Point Ministries serves as the parent organization of North Point Community Church, Buckhead Church, Woodstock City Church, Gwinnett Church, Decatur City Church, and East Cobb Church. Several other autonomous churches are associated with North Point Ministries as strategic partners.

Cornerstone Schools is a group of private schools in Forsyth County, Georgia, United States, near Cumming. Established in 1999, the school group is located on a 30-acre wooded campus near Lake Lanier and Georgia Highway 400.The preschool building opened in 2000. In 2001 a competition outdoor swimming pool and cabana opened. In March 2003 the first elementary school building opened. In 2005 the second elementary and middle school building opened. In 2009 two athletic fields opened. In 2010 a new gym was built, which houses the school’s band and basketball team. As of 2010, the ground work for the new middle and high school building had been completed, however that site remains empty today.

Suburban and exurban in character, Forsyth County lies within the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. The county's only incorporated city and county seat is Cumming. At the 2020 census, the population was 251,283. Forsyth was the fastest-growing county in Georgia and the 15th fastest-growing county in the United States between 2010 and 2019.Forsyth County's rapid population growth can be attributed to its proximity to high-income employment opportunities in nearby Alpharetta and northern Fulton County, its equidistant location between the big-city amenities of bustling Atlanta and the recreation offerings of the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains, its plentiful supply of large, relatively affordable new-construction homes, and its highly ranked public school system. The influx of high-income professionals and their families has increased the county's median annual household income dramatically in recent years; at $104,687, Forsyth County was the wealthiest in Georgia and the 19th-wealthiest in the United States as of 2018 estimates.In the 1980s, the county attracted national media attention as the site of large civil rights demonstrations and counter-demonstrations. Organizers hoped to dispel the county's image as a conservative and hate-filled sundown county; African Americans were unjustly forced out in 1912, and the county had a reputation of being hostile to people of color and LGBT people for many decades afterwards. During the 1987 Forsyth County protests officials kept peace with police officers and National Guard protecting the event as thousands of marchers protested the segregation in the county. From 2007 to 2009, the county received national attention because of a severe drought. Water supplies for the Atlanta area and downstream areas of Alabama and Florida were threatened. This followed a more severe drought in 2007 and 2008, and flooding in 2009. Flooding occurred in 2013, and severe drought again in 2016. Georgia, Alabama and Florida have been in a tri-state water dispute since 1990 over apportionment of water flow from Lake Lanier, which forms the eastern border of the county and is regulated by the Army Corps of Engineers as a federal project.

WWEV-FM (91.5 MHz) is a non-commercial Christian radio station licensed to Cumming, Georgia, and serving the Northeast Atlanta metropolitan area. It is owned by RLN Global, Inc. and calls itself Victory 91.5. The station has a contemporary Christian format with some Christian talk and teaching programs. WWEV-FM funds its operations by asking for listener donations and holding periodic fundraising drives on the air. The Victory 91.5 studios and offices are on Sawnee Drive in Cumming. The transmitter is off Tower Road on Sawnee Mountain.

Sawnee Mountain is a low mountain between the piedmont and Appalachian foothills of the U.S. state of Georgia, north of Atlanta. Average rainfall/46.26in/yr/ average snowfall/5.7in/yr/. The name Sawnee Mountain actually refers to the entire ridge of approximately five miles (8 km) in length. At its summit, the elevation is 1,946 feet (593 m) above mean sea level, and is roughly 750 feet (230 m) above the surrounding terrain. The Sawnee Mountain range runs southwest to northeast, and consists of five knolls and three gaps (Chamblee, Sawnee, and Bettes). Located only a few miles north of Cumming, Georgia (the county seat), the mountain is easily the highest point in Forsyth county. One of the highest peaks of metro Atlanta, it nudges out its prominently known neighbors Stone Mountain and Kennesaw Mountain by a hundred or so feet each. However, Sawnee is in the far northern exurbs, putting it in third place behind Bear Mountain and Pine Log Mountain to the west.
