Flobecq

The Château de Lahamaide was a castle in Lahamaide in Hainaut, located in the municipality of Ellezelles, Belgium. It was the place of birth of Lamoral, Count of Egmont. Nowadays the stables only remain.

Ellezelles (French pronunciation: ​[ɛlzɛl]; Dutch: Elzele; Picard: Elzîle; Walloon: Elziele) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Hainaut, Belgium. It consists of the following districts: Ellezelles, Lahamaide, and Wodecq. Bordering Flanders, the town is home to a minority of Dutch-speakers. The village archives contain a document "attesting" to the birth of Hercule Poirot on 1 April 1850.

Opbrakel is a village and deelgemeente (sub-municipality) of the municipality of Brakel. It is located in the Denderstreek in the province of East Flanders in Belgium. It used to be an independent municipality until 1971 when it was merged into Brakel.

Brakel (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈbraːkəl] ) is a municipality in the Belgian province of East Flanders in the Denderstreek and the Flemish Ardennes. The name is derived from a Carolingian villa Braglo first mentioned in 866 and located in the center of Opbrakel. Since 1970, the municipality has comprised the villages of Nederbrakel, Opbrakel, Michelbeke, Elst, Zegelsem. In 1977 Everbeek, Parike and part of Sint-Maria-Oudenhove were added. On 1 January 2018, Brakel had a population of 14,781. The area is 56.46 km² which gives a population density of 262 per km². The mayor is Stefaan De Vleeschouwer. The region is known for the green hills and valleys, which attract cyclists and walkers and play a role in the Tour of Flanders cycling race. The Braekel chicken is named after the town. The Uitkijktoren, a 32 metres (105 ft) high viewing tower was opened in April 2001. It is located at 50.8124°N 3.7391°E / 50.8124; 3.7391 on the Twaalfbunderstraat, north-west of Nederbrakel. Orientation boards at the top enable visitors to identify places of interest in all directions.

Nederbrakel is a town in the municipality of Brakel. It is located in the Denderstreek and in the Flemish Ardennes, the hilly southern part of the province of East Flanders, Belgium. With 5,972 residents as of 2000, it forms the largest individual part of the municipality. Nederbrakel is located near the language border.

Everbeek (French: Everbecq) is a village situated in the Flemish Ardennes and in the Denderstreek in Belgium. In 1977, it was included into the municipality of Brakel. Although it is Dutch speaking, this village was part of the Walloon province of Hainaut (Henegouwen) until 1963, when it became part of the Flemish province of East Flanders.

Parike is a village and deelgemeente (sub-municipality) of the municipality of Brakel. It is located in the Denderstreek in the province of East Flanders in Belgium. It used to be an independent municipality until 1977 when it was merged into Brakel.

Kanarieberg (English: Canary Hill) is the name of a road and hill in the municipality of Ronse, in the Belgian province of East Flanders. With its top at 131 m, it is the one of the many hills in the Flemish Ardennes, located in the heart of the hill region. The road of the Kanarieberg starts gently before steadily getting steeper as it winds its way through the fields outside Ronse's city center. It is surfaced in smooth asphalt; its steepest point is 14%. The top of the Kanarieberg is in the Muziekbos (English: Music Forest).

Zegelsem is a village in the municipality of Brakel in the province of East Flanders, Belgium. Zegelsem is an agricultural community in the Flemish Ardennes. It is located about 26 kilometres (16 mi) south of Ghent.

The Leberg is a hill and uphill street in Elst, part of the municipality of Brakel, in the Belgian province of East Flanders. Its top is at 99 m altitude, making it one of the highest hills of the Zwalm region, just north of the Flemish Ardennes. The road has an asphalt surface and links the valley town of Elst to the hilltop town of Zegelsem.

Louise-Marie is a hamlet partly belonging to the municipality of Ronse and partly to the municipality of Maarkedal. It is located in the Flemish Ardennes, the southern part of the province of East Flanders, Belgium. The parish dates from the early 19th century. At first plans to create a proper village with a church were postponed. The plans were revived in 1845, but no longer as an independent municipality.The hamlet Louise-Marie was officially established in 1850, and was named after the first queen of Belgium, Louise-Marie d'Orleans, who died in the same year.
