Colmar-Berg (Luxembourgish: Colmer-Bierg, German: Colmar-Berg) is a commune and town in central Luxembourg, in the canton of Mersch. It is situated at the confluence of the rivers Attert and Alzette. Colmar-Berg is the site of the Grand Duke of Luxembourg's principal residence, Berg Castle. It is also the site of a Goodyear tyre factory. The commune was known as simply "Berg" until 25 March 1991. The "Centre de Formation pour Conducteurs" (French for "Drivers' Training Centre") is also in Colmar-Berg. Every person has to make an "Obligatory Course" after they got their driving license in order for it to become a definitive license. This has to be done in the timespan after three months and before two years after the person passed their practical driving test.

The Circuit Goodyear is a motor racing circuit in Colmar-Berg, Luxembourg. The circuit is owned and used as a testing venue by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.

The Attert (French pronunciation: [atɛʁt], German pronunciation: [ˈatɐt]; Luxembourgish: Atert) is a river flowing through Belgium and Luxembourg, left tributary of the Alzette. Its length is 38 kilometres (24 mi), of which 32 kilometres (20 mi) are in Luxembourg and 6 kilometres (4 mi) in Belgium. Its source is in Nobressart, north-west of Arlon, in the Belgian province Luxembourg. It flows into the river Alzette at Colmar-Berg. It flows through the village of Attert in Belgium, and the towns of Redange, Useldange, Boevange-sur-Attert, and Bissen in Luxembourg.

Schieren is a commune and town in central Luxembourg. It is part of the canton of Diekirch. The town of Schieren, which lies in the west of the commune, has a population of 2,149. Schieren is served by a railway station. Schieren was formed on 1 July 1850, when it was detached from the commune of Ettelbruck, along with the commune of Erpeldange. The law forming Schieren was passed on 22 January 1850.In 1894, Schieren established a fire station with five volunteer firefighters. It has a notable church.

Schrondweiler is a village in the commune of Nommern, in central Luxembourg. The village has a population of 403. The stream Schrondweilerbaach is crossing the north-eastern part of the village.

The Alzette (French pronunciation: [alzɛt]; Luxembourgish: Uelzecht [ˈuəltsəɕt] ; German: Alzig [ˈaltsɪç]) is a river with a length of 73 kilometres (45 mi) in France and Luxembourg. It is a right tributary of the Sauer (a tributary to the Moselle), and ultimately to the Rhine. It rises in Thil near the town Villerupt in the Meurthe-et-Moselle département, France. It crosses the border with Luxembourg after 2.7 km (1.7 mi). At Lameschmillen (near Bergem) it is joined by the Mess. It flows through the Luxembourgish towns Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg City and Mersch, and empties into the Sauer near Ettelbruck. The rocky cliffs above the Alzette in Luxembourg are called 'Bock'. This name was given to the Casemates du Bock; a honeycomb of tunnels colloquially named 'Paula', which runs under the ruins of the Fortress of Luxembourg. It protected Luxembourg City for centuries.

Stegen (Luxembourgish: Steeën) is a village in the commune of "Aerenzdallgemeng", in eastern Luxembourg. The village has a population of 504. The Saint Bartholomew church of Stegen was classified as a national monument in 2021. The stream Tirelbaach is flowing through the eastern part of Stegen. Stegen is home to the goat farm Bio Baltes in Um Suewel. It produces goat cheese for a large number of supermarkets throughout Luxembourg.
