Petten

Burgervlotbrug is a hamlet in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Schagen, and lies about 15 km north of Alkmaar. Burgervlotbrug is considered part of Burgerbrug. It has place name signs.The village is named after a floating bridge ("vlotbrug" in Dutch) in the Noordhollandsch Kanaal. The bridge is still in operation. There is a little Mennonite church from 1869 which is nowadays a residential home.

The Petten High Flux Reactor (HFR) is a nuclear research reactor located in Petten, Netherlands. The HFR is on the premises of the Petten research centre and it is a high flux reactor. It is owned by the Joint Research Centre (JRC) and managed by the Nuclear Research and Consultancy Group (NRG).

Sint Maartensvlotbrug is a village in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Schagen, and lies about 15 km northwest of Heerhugowaard. The village is named after a vlotbrug constructed near the village of Sint Maartensbrug. Originally it was a wooden bridge built between 1820 and 1821. In 1959, it was replaced by a steel pontoon bridge operated by an electro motor. The village was first mentioned between 1839 and 1859.

The village was first mentioned in 1840 as "Burgerbrug of Eenigenburgerbrug", and is named after the bridge over the Groote Slot. Burgerbrug was settled soon after the polder was created in 1597. It is a cross shaped settlement with one part along the Groote Sloot and the other part along the road.The Catholic Birth of Out Lady Church is an aisleless church built in 1866 as a replacement of the clandestine church. Burgerbrug was home to 185 people in 1840. Three polder mills are still present in Burgerbrug. Two of the windmills probably date from 1597.

Hargen is a hamlet in the municipality of Bergen], in the provinces of North Holland, the Netherlands. The hamlet was first mentioned between 822 and c. 825 as in Horgana, and means "sacred place". Hargen has no place signs, but there is a directional sign pointing to Hargen. It was home to 171 people in 1840. The current population is difficult to determine, because it has been added to the much larger Groet in the statistics.

Bregtdorp is a hamlet in the municipality of Bergen, North Holland in the north-western Netherlands. The village was first mentioned in 1843 as Bregdorp, and means "settlement of Bregt (person)". Bregtdorp has place name signs. The southern part of the hamlet was annexed by Schoorl. It was home to 109 people 1840. Nowadays, it consists of about 150 houses and 30 apartments in a retirement home.

Catrijp is a hamlet in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Bergen, and lies about 9 km northwest of Alkmaar. The name already appears in 1680 as Catryp. This name refers to a strip of land along water, probably water in the dunes. The first part (cat) of the name is unclear and has multiple meanings. Catrijp has no place name signs.
