Nienstedten

The Lutheran Nienstedten Cemetery (German: Nienstedtener Friedhof) is a church-operated historic burial ground in Hamburg, Germany. The cemetery is owned by the Evangelical Lutheran parish church of Nienstedten, Hamburg. The cemetery is located on the Elbchaussee near the parish church in Nienstedten, now a Hamburg suburb. It is one of the oldest cemeteries still in operation in the Greater Hamburg area with around 250 burials taking place each year.

Hochkamp (German pronunciation: [ˈhoːxkamp]) railway station is on the Altona-Blankenese line and served by the city trains, located in Hamburg, Germany. The rapid transit trains of the line S1 and the line S11 of the Hamburg S-Bahn calls the station in the quarter Nienstedten of the Altona borough in Hamburg. Right along the railway tracks is the border to the quarter Osdorf.

The International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS) is an intergovernmental organization created by the mandate of the Third United Nations Conference on the Law of the Sea. It was established by the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, signed at Montego Bay, Jamaica, on 10 December 1982. The ITLOS is one of four dispute resolution mechanisms listed in Article 287 of the UNCLOS.The Tribunal is based in Hamburg, Germany. The Convention also established the International Seabed Authority, with responsibility for the regulation of seabed mining beyond the limits of national jurisdiction, that is beyond the limits of the territorial sea, the contiguous zone and the continental shelf. There are currently 168 signatories, 167 states plus the European Union. As of 2021, holdouts included the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Bundeswehr Command and Staff College (German: Führungsakademie der Bundeswehr, FüAkBw) is the General Staff College (Senior Military Academy) of the German armed forces, the Bundeswehr, established in 1957 as the successor of the Prussian Military Academy, founded in 1810. Since 1958 it is located in Hamburg. Its motto is "Mens agitat molem", "Mind moves Matter". Being the leading educational institution of the German armed forces, the academy is internationally renowned for its excellence. The academy educates the future elite of not only the German armed forces but also of other member states of the European Union and the NATO.

Klein Flottbek (Botanischer Garten) railway station is on the Altona-Blankenese line and serviced by the Hamburg city trains. Rapid transit trains of lines S1 and S11 of the Hamburg S-Bahn call at the station in the Klein Flottbek subdistrict in the Nienstedten quarter of Altona borough in Hamburg, Germany. The track forms the border of the Osdorf quarter. The station is near the main entrance of the Botanischer Garten Hamburg, in Osdorf.

Osdorf (German language: pronounced German: [ ˈɔːsdɔrf] (listen)) is a quarter in the city of Hamburg, Germany. It belongs to the Altona borough. In 2020 the population was 26,420.

The Loki-Schmidt-Garten, also known as Botanischer Garten Hamburg, or, more formally, as Botanischer Garten der Universität Hamburg or Biozentrum Klein Flottbek und Botanischer Garten, is a botanical garden maintained by the University of Hamburg. It has a size of around 25 hectares and is located at Ohnhorststrasse 18, Hamburg, Germany, beside the Klein Flottbek station in the Osdorf quarter, and open daily without charge. It was renamed in 2012 after Loki Schmidt, the wife of the former German chancellor Helmut Schmidt. Though it was renamed, the old name coexists with the new one. Nearby Klein Flottbek station still has the second name "Botanischer Garten".

Klein Flottbek (Small Flottbek) is a sub-urban district and neighbourhood in the quarters of Nienstedten, Othmarschen and Osdorf, located in the Altona borough of Hamburg, Germany. Unlike neighbouring Groß Flottbek, the former municipality of Klein Flottbek is not an official quarter of Hamburg today.

Teufelsbrück (Devil's Bridge) is the name of the area around the mouth of Flottbek stream into River Elbe in Hamburg, Germany. It is located in the local subdistrict of Klein Flottbek and today belongs partly to the quarters of Othmarschen and Nienstedten. Initially, Teufelsbrück was the name of the bridge of the street of Elbchaussee over the Flottbek stream, later it was used for the area itself including nearby ferry pier and marina. The area lies south of the Jenisch park.

German submarine U-982 was a Type VIIC U-boat of Nazi Germany's Kriegsmarine during World War II. She was ordered on 5 June 1941, and was laid down on 24 August 1942 at Blohm & Voss, Hamburg, as yard number 182. She was launched on 29 April 1943 and commissioned under the command of Oberleutnant zur See Edmund Grochowiak on 10 June 1943.

Jenisch House (Jenisch-Haus) is a country house in Hamburg built in the 19th century and an example of Hanseatic lifestyle and neoclassical architecture. As of 2008, Jenisch House is the home of the Museum für Kunst und Kultur an der Elbe. It is located within the Jenisch park in the Othmarschen quarter.

The Jenisch park is the oldest landscaped park in Hamburg, Germany, located in the Othmarschen quarter at the Geest shore of River Elbe. Of the area of 43 ha (110 acres), 8 are a protected. Two museums, Jenisch House and Ernst Barlach House, are located within the park. The river Flottbek flows through the park and into the Elbe at Teufelsbrück.
