Milford, New Zealand

Westlake is a suburb of the North Shore in New Zealand's Auckland urban area. It lies eight kilometres to the northwest of the Auckland CBD between the major suburbs of Milford and Glenfield. The name arises from its position on the western shoreline of Lake Pupuke.

Carmel College is a Catholic secondary school for girls located in Milford on Auckland's North Shore. It was established by the Sisters of Mercy in 1957 starting with a student roll of only 15 girls. The College's brother school is nearby Rosmini College.

Castor Bay is a bay and suburb of the North Shore, located in Auckland which is in the North Island of New Zealand. Located between Milford and Campbells Bay, it is part of the East Coast Bays. To the east lies the islands of Rangitoto and Motutapu, which are easily visible from land. The suburb is in the North Shore ward, one of the thirteen administrative divisions of Auckland Council. The bay itself is quite small and is well sheltered by an artificial breakwater that extends from the northern edge of the bay, running towards the south. A small bark and grass area with several large pohutukawa trees offering shelter complements the beachfront and an extended coastline stretches out to the north towards Campbells Bay.

Lake Pupuke (traditionally known in Māori as Pupukemoana) is a heart-shaped freshwater lake occupying a volcanic crater (or maar) between the suburbs of Takapuna and Milford on the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand. The heart shape is a result of its formation by the linking of two circular craters – a larger one forming most of the lake and a smaller one forming the arm in the northeast. Separated from the sea by less than 200 m at one point, it has a circumference of about 4.5 km and reaches 57 m in depth. It is popular for recreational activities and the lakefront property around it.

Westlake Boys High School is a state secondary school for boys located in Forrest Hill, Auckland, New Zealand. The school opened in 1962, when Westlake High School (opened 1958) split into Westlake Girls High School on the existing site and Westlake Boys High School on a new site. Serving Years 9 to 13, the college has 2567 students as of February 2023.Westlake Boys considers itself to follow a 'traditional but progressive' model similar to that in operation at Auckland Grammar School.Westlake Boys now features recently constructed facilities, including a new administration block, student services centre, and large auditorium capable of holding all of the school's students and staff simultaneously. Westlake Boys Deputy headmaster David Ferguson took on the role of Headmaster of Westlake Boys High School, taking over from Craig Monaghan, a former Commonwealth Games Judo representative and referee.Westlake Boys introduced a house system at the end of 2007 where each individual belongs to one of six houses: Pupuke, Ururoto, Hood, Smale, Murchison and Stanley.

Forrest Hill is a suburb located on the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand. Forrest Hill is under the local governance of Auckland Council. It was previously governed by the North Shore City Council, which amalgamated into Auckland Council on 1 November 2010.Forrest Hill Road and (ultimately) the whole suburb of Forrest Hill is named after Lt. Hugh Alexander Forrest, born in Wellington on 30 May 1893, who was killed in action on 12 October 1917, in the First Battle of Passchendaele during World War 1. The Takapuna Borough Council renamed Whites Hill Road in his honour at a council meeting on 22 October 1919, and the entire area was named after the road about five decades later.

Crown Hill is a suburb of the North Shore located in Auckland, New Zealand. It is under the local governance of the Auckland Council for local government purposes. The population was 3,519 in the 2013 census. This was an increase of 249 people since the 2006 Census.

Smales Farm busway station is a bus station in Westlake, New Zealand, on the Auckland Northern Busway. It opened on 2 February 2008, and is the second-closest busway station to Britomart Transport Centre. It has shelters, electronic real-time information on each platform, a customer service centre and passenger drop off and pick up.It is adjacent to Westlake Girls High School and the Smales Farm Office Park, which houses Sovereign, Air New Zealand and Telstra Clear. North Shore Hospital is not far away. The next station southbound is Akoranga busway station. The next northbound is Sunnynook busway station. Buses travelling via the station include double-decker buses serving the Northern Express NX1 and NX2 routes.

The PumpHouse Theatre is an artist-led arts centre that presents theatre and other events in the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand.

Shore City Shopping Centre is an enclosed shopping centre in the North Shore suburb of Takapuna, Auckland, New Zealand established in 1974. It was previously owned by Westfield Group and is now owned and managed by Precision Group. The mall is situated near Takapuna Beach.

The Eventfinda Stadium (originally known as the North Shore Events Centre) is an indoor arena located in the North Shore City suburb of Wairau Valley, Auckland, New Zealand. The arena opened in 1992 and has a capacity of 4,179.It primarily hosts community events and was previously the home arena of the New Zealand Breakers, who play in the Australian NBL. It also hosts concerts, expos, trade shows, conferences, netball, MMA, cheerleading and dance. It has also hosted the New Zealand Badminton Open for over 10 years. In 2009, the arena hosted the final of the FIBA Under-19 World Championship. The final saw the United States defeat Greece 88–80.
