Knightsville is an urban neighborhood in the city of Cranston, Rhode Island.

Cranston Stadium is a multi-use stadium complex located in Cranston, Rhode Island. It consists of Magciacomo Field, a baseball field, as well as Stebbins Field, an athletic field suitable for playing football, soccer, field hockey or lacrosse. The five-sided block is bounded by Peerless Street (northwest); Crescent Avenue (northeast); Midwood Street (east); Flint Avenue (south); and Jordan Avenue (southwest). The ballpark occupies the north portion of the complex, and the football stadium most of the south portion. There are also adjacent basketball and tennis courts.

The Knightsville Meetinghouse (also known as Knightsville-Franklin Congregational Church) was a historic church and meeting hall building at 67 Phenix Avenue within the village of Knightsville in Cranston, Rhode Island. The meetinghouse was built in 1807 for the Benevolent Baptist Society. Town meetings were held in the building in the nineteenth century. Various Christian denominations also met in the building until 1864 when the Knightsville Mission Sabbath School, a large Sunday school began meeting in the building and desired to begin a formal church. A church was officially organized in the building in 1878 as a branch of the Union Congregational Church of Providence. The Providence and Knightsville churches remained affiliated until 1928 when the Knightsville branch broke off after Union merged with Plymouth. In 1967 Knightsville merged with the smaller Franklin Congregational Church. The Kinghtsville Meeting House was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. The congregation was affiliated with the United Church of Christ, but in 2006 the handful of remaining members voted to leave the United Church of Christ and join the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches. After several decades declining funding and dwindling membership, the church closed in October 2009 and was subsequently demolished in 2015.

Silver Lake is a neighborhood on the western edge of Providence, Rhode Island. It is bordered by the Hartford neighborhood to the north, Route 10 to the east, Johnston and Cranston on the West and separated from Olneyville by Route 6. Like Federal Hill, Silver Lake was traditionally an Italian-American neighborhood. Since the mid-1990s, Silver Lake has undergone a radical transformation into a largely Hispanic neighborhood, as evidenced by the recent influx of Central American restaurants, bars and markets.

The Pocasset Worsted Company Mill is an historic industrial complex at 75 Pocasset Street in Johnston, Rhode Island. It consists of a complex of four connected brick buildings, built between 1897 and 1902. The buildings form a rough U shape on a 3.38 acres (1.37 ha) parcel of land between Pocasset Street and the Pocasset River. The two legs of the U are nearly identical main mill buildings, constructed in 1897 and 1902; they are joined by an engine and boiler house. The mill office building is attached to the southern (1897) mill building. The Pocasset Worsted Company was Johnston's largest employer in the early 20th century; its buildings were used for textile production until 1989.The complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

WWLI (105.1 FM), branded Lite 105, is a commercial radio station licensed to Providence, Rhode Island. The station is owned by Cumulus Media and broadcasts an adult contemporary radio format, switching to Christmas music for much of November and December. The radio studios are on Wampanoag Trail in East Providence. WWLI has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 50,000 watts, the maximum for FM stations in Rhode Island. The transmitter is off Heath Street in Johnston.

Reservoir is a neighborhood in southwest Providence, Rhode Island. It is bounded to the north and east by the Amtrak Northeast Corridor railroad tracks, and to the west and south by the municipal boundary with Cranston. The population of the neighborhood, as of 2000, was 2,963. Mashapaug Pond lies entirely within the Reservoir neighborhood. The Gorham Manufacturing Company made its home on the pond in the area.The neighborhood is 40.5% Non-Hispanic White, 15.4% Asian or Pacific Islander, 16.6% African-American, and 22.6% Hispanic. The median household income is $39,769, and the median family income is $41,202. 10.4% of families live below the poverty line.

WPRO-FM (92.3 MHz "92 PRO-FM") is a commercial top 40 (CHR) radio station in Providence, Rhode Island, United States, owned by Cumulus Media. The studios and offices are located in the Brine Broadcasting Center on Wampanoag Trail on the East Providence–Barrington line. The transmitter is located on Neuticonacanut Hill in Johnston, Rhode Island. WPRO-FM is unique in the Providence media market in keeping the same call sign since its sign-on in 1948; and the same format, top 40, since 1974.

The Joy Homestead, also known as the Job Joy House, is an historic house on Old Scituate Avenue in Cranston, Rhode Island. This 2+1⁄2-story gambrel-roof wood-frame house was built sometime between 1764 and 1778. It was occupied by members of the Joy family until 1884, and was acquired by the Cranston Historical Society in 1959. The house is believed to a stopping point on the first day's march in 1781 of the French Army troops en route from Providence to Yorktown during the American Revolutionary War.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. The Historical Society offers tours.

Thornton (formerly known as Simmonsville and Lower Simmons Village) is a neighborhood located in the north-west part of Cranston, Rhode Island on the Johnston line and extends into the Johnston side. Many of the residents of this Thornton are Italian-American, and the Feast of Saint Rocco, a Christian saint, is held every August on the grounds of St. Rocco's Church and remains an important cultural event in the community. Saint Rocco's Church was formerly on the Cranston side of Thornton on Clemence Street until the new church opened in 1951 on Atwood Avenue on the Johnston side of Thornton.

The General Ice Cream Corporation Building is a historic industrial building at 485 Plainfield Street in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Providence, Rhode Island, United States. It is a brick building with two sections, one two stories and the other three. The two parts were built in separate stages between 1915 and 1918, occasioned by the rapid growth of the Dolbey Ice Cream Company, which was by 1921 the largest ice cream producer in the state. The facility was operated continuously, via a series of corporate mergers by the General Ice Cream Corporation, until 1960. The property was then used to produce Sealtest brand ice cream by the National Dairy Products Corporation (later Kraft Foods, Inc.), but was shuttered by 1967.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2008, as a distinctive example of an early ice cream production facility.
