The Centre for Interactive Research on Sustainability (CIRS) is located at the University of British Columbia's (UBC) Point Grey Campus in Vancouver. The building is dedicated to research collaboration and outreach on urban sustainability. It was officially opened in November 2011. The UBC Institute for the Oceans and Fisheries (IOF) is a research unit at the University of British Columbia (UBC) that was formed in 2015 by incorporating members from the former UBC Fisheries Centre (est. 1991, dis. 2015), as well as a subset of researchers that are conducting marine related research at UBC. The IOF developed its own graduate program, which welcomed its first cohort of graduate students in September 2019. In addition to students of its OCF program (OCeans and Fisheries), members are also drawn from other graduate programs at UBC, primarily from the Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability, the Departments of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences, Zoology, Geography, and Botany, and the School of Public Policy and Global Affairs. The UBC Institute for the Oceans and Fisheries brings together a community of Canadian and international experts in ocean and freshwater species, systems, economics, and issues to provide new insights into how global marine systems function, and the impacts of human activity on those systems. It is working towards a world in which the oceans are healthy and their resources are used sustainably and equitably. IOF is located at The University of British Columbia, and promotes multidisciplinary study of aquatic ecosystems and broad-based collaboration with researchers, educators, maritime communities, government, NGOs, and other partners.

St. John's College is one of two residential colleges at the University of British Columbia which are modeled on the Oxbridge collegiate system, the other being Green College. It provides a community for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers, with an international focus. St. John's College maintains close ties with Green College and the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. The college consists of a residential community of 160 graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, visiting scholars and professors, and non-resident affiliated faculty and academic programming. The College is located at the West end of the UBC campus, near Wreck Beach. Aside from taking up residence at St. John's, residential membership entails active involvement in the social and academic aspects of College life. Involvement takes the form of participation on various social and academic committees, and attendance at functions and lectures sponsored by or otherwise linked with the College. Dining together is an integral part of the St. John's College experience. The college is home to the Dining Society which provides meals five days a week to residents and guests.

The UBC Computer Science (UBC CS) department at the University of British Columbia was established in May 1968. UBC CS is located at the UBC Point Grey campus in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. As of September 2022, it has 65 faculty, 62 staff, 248 graduate students, and 2,763 undergraduates.

The Bioinformatics, and Empirical and Theoretical Algorithmics Laboratory (BETA Lab or short β) is a research laboratory within the UBC Department of Computer Science. Founded in 2000 by Anne Condon, Will Evans, Holger H. Hoos, David G. Kirkpatrick and Nick Pippenger, the BETA Lab is the focus of research in bioinformatics, empirical algorithmics and theoretical computer science at the department. The BETA Lab is home to faculty members, graduate students and summer interns. Since the inception of the BETA Lab, its members have solved problems in computer science and bioinformatics, including Boolean satisfiability (SAT), time-tabling, winner determination in combinatorial auctions, protein structure prediction in lattice models, as well as prediction and design of RNA secondary structures. Within the UBC Department of Computer Science, the BETA Lab maintains close ties with the Laboratory for Computational Intelligence and Robotics (LCI) and other research groups.

The University of British Columbia Library is the library system of the University of British Columbia (UBC). The library is one of the 124 members of the Association of Research Libraries (ARL). In 2017, UBC Library ranked 29th among members of the ARL for the number of volumes in library (physical volumes), making it the third largest Canadian academic library after the University of Toronto and the University of Alberta. However, UBC Library ranked 23rd for the titles held (physical and online documents) and second in Canada, and had a materials expenditures of $13.8 million, placing it 44th. UBC Library is one of the largest research libraries in Canada, with 13 branches and divisions at UBC and at other locations, including branches at Vancouver Hospital and Health Sciences Centre, and one at the UBC Okanagan campus. As of 2019, UBC Library's collection comprises 8.3 million items, including 2.8 million e-books, 5.3 million microforms, 440,000 journal titles and more than 923,000 maps, videos and other multimedia materials. During the year 2018–2019, the UBC community downloaded 3.4 million ebooks and 7.4 million journal articles, the equivalent of 89 journal article downloads and 41 ebook downloads per person. UBC Library has the largest collection of Asian-language materials in North America and the largest biomedical collection in Western Canada. It is a depository library for publications of the governments of British Columbia (BC), Canada, Japan and the United Nations. The Library's collections of special and unique materials include the archives of Canadian author and artist Douglas Coupland, the Uno Langmann Family Collection of B.C. Photographs (consisting of more than 18,000 rare and unique early photographs of British Columbia), the H. Colin Slim Stravinsky Collection (the largest collection of its kind in Canada, including more than 130 items documenting the work and life of Igor Stravinsky) and the Wallace B. Chung and Madeline H. Chung Collection, containing more than 25,000 rare and one-of-a-kind items relating to the discovery of BC, the development of the Canadian Pacific Railway, and Chinese immigration to Canada. The collection includes documents, books, maps, posters, paintings, photographs, silver, glass, ceramic ware and other artifacts. In October 2015, UBC Library opened its newest facility, Library Preservation and Archives (PARC), a new modular storage facility designed to accommodate the future growth of library collections. The building is located at UBC Vancouver's South Campus (in the Research Precinct) and provides 2,280 square metres of high-density collection storage. It can store about 1.6 million volumes and the facility also houses a campus-wide records management service.

The Walter C. Koerner Library is an academic library at the Vancouver campus of the University of British Columbia. The library is named after Walter C. Koerner, a Canadian businessman and philanthropist. Walter C. Koerner Library forms the main academic and general resource library collection at the University of British Columbia.

Varsity Stadium (also referred to as "UBC Stadium" during the 1950s and "Old Stadium" post-demolition) was an outdoor stadium on the University Endowment Lands of British Columbia, west of Vancouver's city limits. It was used primarily for soccer, rugby union and football by the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds. Playing fields were built on the site in 1931 funded by labour subscriptions by the Faculty Association, AMS and UBC Board of Governors for a cost of $14,298. The UBC AMS contributed the entire $40,000 to build the grandstand in 1937. It was opened October 1, 1938 with a Canadian Football game between the Vancouver Merelomas and UBC. It was closed in late 1967 after the opening of Thunderbird Stadium. The stadium was upgraded in 1954 to serve as practice facility for the British Empire and Commonwealth Games. The stadium was located beside UBC's War Memorial Gym until it was replaced by Thunderbird Stadium in 1967, and demolished in 1968 to make way for the Student Union Building. Notable events included a visit from Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip who witnessed a "Canadian gridiron game" between UBC and Southern Oregon University in October 1958. The Royal party was late to arrive at the game. The motorcade arrived at the conclusion of the game, so the teams staged an additional 10-minute exhibition for the Royal party in the dark, as the stadium did not have lights. The Churchill Bowl was staged as an invitational pre-season national championship in 1959 when UBC lost 34–7 to the Western Mustangs.

Corpus Christi College (CCC) is a college affiliated with and situated on the campus of University of British Columbia (UBC). The college offers classes in arts, business, and science in small class sizes with close student-faculty interaction. Corpus Christi offers a liberal arts program that is recognized by UBC, UVic, SFU and other BC public universities as well as private colleges. The college’s dynamic programs allow students to take up to 60 credits in core subjects and electives on their journey toward business, nursing, and other college degree programs. Subjects including English, History, Religious Studies, Communications, Philosophy, Math, and elective studies in Film, Theatre, Digital Media, Anthropology, Classical Studies, Economics, Fine Arts, French, Geography, Political Science, and Psychology, are offered where students may supplement their studies with courses directly at UBC. Students can earn an Associate's of Arts degree and a BA that is recognized by UBC's Faculty of Education. In June 2000, Corpus Christi received program approval for the University Presidents' Council. The college is an institutional member of the BC Transfer System, where courses are listed in the BC Transfer Guide (www.bctransferguide.ca). In April 2001, Corpus Christi received full accreditation from BC's Private Post-Secondary Education Commission (PPSEC), now the BC Private Career Training Institutions Agency (PCTIA). Students are eligible for student loans through the BC Student Assistance Plan. CCC is a member of the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities of Canada (ACCUC), a group that represents Canada's leading Catholic institutions of higher education. Corpus Christi College's Vancouver campus is located in the University Endowment Lands on Point Grey, which is the name given to the height of land above the point of the same name. Corpus Christi-St. Mark’s is on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Musqueam People. St. Mark's College is the graduate and theological studies institution. The college has a high percentage of students involved in community service and leadership programs. Because of the student services, advising, and smaller classroom sizes, CCC has historically been a popular option for students to transfer to UBC.

CiTR-FM, is a Canadian FM radio station based out of the University of British Columbia's Student Union Building in the University Endowment Lands, just west of the city limits of Vancouver, British Columbia. Its transmitter is also located on campus. CiTR is operated by UBC students and community volunteers under the ownership of the Student Radio Society of the University of British Columbia, an entity closely affiliated with UBC's Alma Mater Society. The station's mandate is to provide programming that is alternative to the genres played on mainstream radio. Broadcasting at 101.9 FM, its signal encompasses most of the Vancouver Metropolitan Area. Notable or long-running programmers include Nardwuar the Human Serviette, Steve Edge, Gavin Walker of the Jazz Show, "Long" John Tanner, DJ Ebony, DJ Avi Shack, Val Cormier, Luke Meat, Chris-a-riffic, Ska-T, Zena Sharman, Tod Maffin, Bryce Dunn, Jonathon Brown, Spike Chilton of the Northern Wish and the Canadian Way, Bleek Swinney of Exquisite Corpse and Breakfast With The Browns, Pyra Draculea of the Vampire's Ball, Marie Benard of Synchronicity, Caroline of Sexy In VanCity, and many others. CiTR launched a podcast service in September 2006, allowing listeners to access past shows online. CITR is a member of the National Campus and Community Radio Association, and hosted the National Campus and Community Radio Conference in 1984 and again in 2007. The NCRC is an annual national gathering of community-oriented radio broadcasters who provide alternative radio to a diverse audience. It has been offered every summer since 1981, and it is one of the core activities of the NCRA/ANREC.

Out on the Shelves (OOTS) is an LGBTQ2IA+ library located in Vancouver, British Columbia. Vancouver's oldest queer library, Out on the Shelves was founded as "the Gay Library" in April 1983. The library operates as a volunteer-run collective and aims to provide opportunities for members of the LGBTQ2IA+ community to see themselves reflected in literature and film.

War Memorial Gymnasium is a gymnasium on the University of British Columbia campus. It was officially dedicated on October 26, 1951, to the family members of service personnel who died in the two world wars. The Memorial walls have since been updated to reflect UBC's involvement with Canada's military. It is frequently referred to as 'The' 'Historic' War Memorial Gymnasium and hosts the annual UBC Remembrance Day Ceremony.It is home to the UBC Thunderbirds basketball and volleyball teams, as well as the central offices for the Athletics and Human Kinetics departments. There are 2,222 permanent seats, with retractable bleachers that increase total capacity of 4,836. The gymnasium has hosted the likes of the Harlem Globetrotters, the B.C. high school basketball championships, concerts by Frank Zappa, Peter Tosh and Billy Idol, as well as others, and is the current venue for the finals of all division of the TELUS Basketball Classic. In October 2010, the Toronto Raptors held their first training in the province of BC in the venue. Playing sports in this facility was unique because of the floor's special spring. Folklore has it that horsehair had been inserted beneath the wood surface, which has been since removed. It is still viewed as one of the premier University level basketball/volleyball facilities in Canada.
