Greenvale Farm

William E. Tolman Senior High School (originally Pawtucket Senior High School, changed to Pawtucket East High School, then William E. Tolman Senior High School) is one of three public high schools located in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, United States. It was built and opened in 1926 (Monahan & Meikle, architects) along the east bank of the Blackstone River as a "state of the art" educational facility. The building originally consisted of four floors and a basement, 60 class rooms, a 1,300-seat auditorium, a swimming pool, and a nursery for the children of teenage mothers. The swimming pool was closed in 2018 due to several repairs made and it still leaked. The nursery was closed around 2012 in order for Rhode Island’s only MCJROTC to use the area in the basement. Tolman High School is the first multimillion-dollar high school east of the Mississippi and the gym is the oldest high school gym in Rhode Island that is still in use. The school has been remodeled several times with the most recent being in 1980.The school's pool was also featured in the film Mermaids and the school is in some scenes of the film Moonstruck.

St. Columba's Chapel in Middletown, Rhode Island, is a parish church of the Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island of the Episcopal Church. The church is located at 55 Vaucluse Avenue, Middletown, Rhode Island. The chapel is named for the Irish-born missionary St. Columba, renowned for his teaching, healing, and miracles in sixth-century Scotland.

The Stonybrook Estate Historic District is a historic district at 501-521 Indian Ave. and 75 Vaucluse Avenue in Middletown, Rhode Island. It encompasses what was the largest and most elaborate summer estate built in Middletown, an outgrowth of the expansion of Newport's summer resort community into neighboring towns. The late Gothic Revival main house, built in 1928, was designed by Horace Trumbauer (who also worked on The Elms) for Edward C. Knight, Jr., for whom he had also designed a house on Newport's Bellevue Avenue. The district includes the estate's landscaped grounds, along with a carriage house, several guest cottages, a gate house, and a gardener's cottage (now 75 Vaucluse Avenue).The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

The Dennis J. Murphy House at Ogden Farm is a historic house at 641 Mitchell's Lane in Middletown, Rhode Island. It is a 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame structure with vernacular Queen Anne styling, built c. 1900 for Dennis J. Murphy, the son of a local farmer. The house has a cross-gable roof line, and its exterior is adorned by decorative bargeboard trim, turned columns on the porches, brackets in the eaves, and other details which typify the Queen Anne period. Its porch was originally more extensive when built, but it was damaged in the New England Hurricane of 1938 and reduced in scope.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

The Union Church is an historic church and local history museum owned by the Portsmouth Historical Society at 870 East Main Road at Union Street in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. One exhibit room is dedicated to Julia Ward Howe and includes a collection of furniture from her summer home in Portsmouth and a display about her life.

Newport County is one of five counties located in the U.S. state of Rhode Island. As of the 2020 census, the population was 85,643. It is also one of the seven regions of Rhode Island. The county was created in 1703. Like all of the counties in Rhode Island, Newport County no longer has any governmental functions (other than as court administrative and sheriff corrections boundaries). All of those functions in Rhode Island are now carried out either by the state government, or by the cities and towns of Rhode Island. Newport County is included in the Providence-Warwick, RI-MA Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is in turn constitutes a portion of the greater Boston-Worcester-Providence, MA-RI-NH-CT Combined Statistical Area.

The Bailey Farm is an historic farm at 373 Wyatt Road in Middletown, Rhode Island. Now reduced from more than 100 acres (40 ha) to about 45 acres (18 ha), the farm is a well-preserved example of a 19th-century island farm. It was owned by members of the Bailey family, possibly as early as the late 17th century, into the 19th century. The original main house appears to be a mid-18th century structure that was given a significant Greek Revival treatment in the 19th century. It is a 1-1/2 story Cape style house, three bays wide, with a central chimney. The main entrance is centered on the northern facade, and is flanked by sidelight windows and pilasters, with an entablature above. The corners of the building are pilastered. A series of outbuildings stand nearby. There is a second complex of buildings on the northwest part of the property, built in the 1930s near the location of the Bailey family cemetery.The farm was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Aquidneck Island, officially known as Rhode Island, is an island in Narragansett Bay in the state of Rhode Island. The total land area is 37.8 sq mi (98 km2), which makes it the largest island in the bay. The 2020 United States Census reported its population as 60,109. The state of Rhode Island is named after the island; the United States Board on Geographic Names recognizes Rhode Island as the name for the island, although it is widely referred to as Aquidneck Island in the state and by the island's residents. Aquidneck Island is home to three towns: from north to south, Portsmouth, Middletown, and Newport.

Norman Bird Sanctuary is a 325-acre (1.32 km2) bird sanctuary, nature preserve, environmental education center, and museum at 583 Third Beach Road in Middletown, Rhode Island overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. In 1949, the Norman Bird Sanctuary was founded through a bequest in the will of Mabel Norman Cerio. The Sanctuary comprises the largest area of preserved open space in Newport County. There are 325 acres and 7 miles of hiking trails. The refuge contains hay fields, woodlands and ridges overlooking the ocean and ponds. Hanging Rock, a prominent local landmark, is located within the sanctuary overlooking the ocean. There is also a Visitor's Center and gift shop, and a 19th-century barn museum featuring displays about the wildlife for children and adults.

The Cook–Bateman Farm is a colonial-era farmstead located at the intersection of Fogland, Puncatest Neck (or Neck) and Pond Bridge Roads in Tiverton, Rhode Island. The property was initially purchased in 1700 and reached its largest size, 200 acres (81 ha), in the last 25 years of the 18th century. It currently encompasses 63 acres (25 ha) of rolling farmland.The focal point of the farmstead is the 2 1/2 story house,, the oldest portion of which dates to c.1730–48, while the north kitchen was constructed or rebuilt c.1812-20. Both are now covered by the Second Empire high mansard rook, which was added c.1870. Also on the property is a gambrel-roofed frame barn dating from the late 19th or early 20th century; a two-story hip-roofed frame structure which might be the oldest building in the farmstead, possibly a heabily-altered original farm building from c.1700; a "farmers house"; and a number of other smaller outbuildings. The property, which has evidence of earlier Native American occupation, including arrowheads and stone tools found in the fields, was purchased by John Cook in 1700, and remained in the hands of just two families for more than 200 years, until 1977.The farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Whitehall Museum House is the farmhouse modified by Dean George Berkeley, when he lived in the northern section of Newport, Rhode Island that comprises present-day Middletown in 1729–1731, while working to open his planned St Paul's College on Bermuda. It is also known as Berkeley House or Bishop George Berkeley House and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.

The Gardiner Pond Shell Midden (also known as RI-101W) is a prehistoric archaeological site in Middletown, Rhode Island, named after George Gardiner who was an early settler in the area. The site includes a large shell midden, in which archaeological finds have been made dating the area's human habitation to the Middle and Late Woodland Period. Finds at the site include agricultural tools such as hoes, planting tools, and stone mortars and pestles. The midden is on the grounds of the Norman Bird Sanctuary.The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
