Turner and Amelia Smith House

The Frank and Mary Smith House is a historic home located at 2935 John Adams Road in Willow Spring, Wake County, North Carolina, a suburb of Raleigh. The house was built about 1880, and is a two-story, three-bay, single-pile frame I-house with a central hall plan. It is sheathed in weatherboard, has a triple-A-roof, and a 1+1⁄2-story tall shed addition and gabled rear ell.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in September 2003.

Willow Spring (or Willow Springs) is an unincorporated community in southeastern Wake, and western Johnston counties, North Carolina, United States, which is covered by a shared post office. As of 2014, the population was 15,768 with population density of 379 base in NC Sperling's data. The Frank and Mary Smith House and Turner and Amelia Smith House, both listed on the National Register of Historic Places, are located in Willow Spring. Black Creek, part of the Neuse River, runs through Willow Spring. There are wetlands such as swamp and marsh surrounding the creek.

Willow Spring High School (WSHS) is a public high school located in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. The school began construction in 2017 to accommodate the growing population of Wake County, and began operation in 2021. The school has had one of its teachers nominated for a state award in 2023, and has had a successful varsity football team.

Dr. Nathan M. Blalock House is a historic home located near Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina. It was built about 1910, and is a two-story, double-pile, Classical Revival-style frame dwelling with a hipped roof. The front facade features a full height, projecting pedimented portico supported by two pairs of fluted wood Ionic order columns and one-story wraparound porch. Also on the property are the contributing well house (c. 1910) and wall (c. 1910).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

Hilltop Christian School (HCS), is a private, coeducational, primary and secondary Christian day school located in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, United States. The religious head of the school is Pastor Jeff Jones.

WNNL (103.9 FM) is an Urban Gospel formatted station serving the Raleigh–Durham metropolitan region. Owned by Radio One with WQOK and WFXC/WFXK, "The Light 103.9" is "The Triangle's #1 Station for Inspiration" and home to the Yolanda Adams morning show. Its studios are located in Raleigh and its transmitter site is in Fuquay-Varina, the station's city of license. WNNL broadcasts two channels in the HD Radio format.

Kennebec is a small unincorporated community in southern Wake County, North Carolina, United States, along the border of Harnett County. The community is situated along North Carolina Highway 55 and is the site of the Fuquay-Angier Airfield (Kennebec Flying Club). Much of the area has been recently annexed by the Harnett County town of Angier. Kennebec was named for Kennebec County, Maine (Powell 1968, p. 262). The community was also a stop on the former Durham and Southern Railway.

J. Beale Johnson House is a historic home located near Fuquay-Varina, Wake County, North Carolina. The house was built about 1906, and is a two-story, double pile, Classical Revival style frame dwelling. It is sheathed in weatherboard, sits on a brick foundation, hipped roof, and rear ell. It features a two-story pedimented front portico supported by Doric order columns and one-story wraparound porch with porte cochere.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Juniper Level Botanic Garden, is a 28+ acre botanical garden in Raleigh, North Carolina. The garden was established in 1988 by Tony Avent and his late wife Michelle. In 2018, Tony and Anita Avent gifted the privately owned Juniper Level Botanic Gardens to N.C. State University, while retaining lifetime rights. JLBG will become a sister institution to the J.C. Raulston Arboretum. No synthetic non-organic fertilizers have been used in the garden since 1988, and all runoff (outside of hurricanes) is captured on-site through a series of rain gardens and recirculating runoff collection systems. A large on-site composting program supplies nutrients and compost for the gardens. The botanic garden is open eight weekends per year. It also hosts The Center for Mindfulness and Nonduality, established by Anita Avent in 2013.

Plant Delights Nursery is a mail order plant nursery based in Raleigh, North Carolina, specializing in herbaceous perennials, and owned by Tony Avent and partner Anita Avent. Plant Delights Nursery was established in 1988 by plantsman Tony Avent and currently operates on the 28-acre campus of Juniper Level Botanic Gardens. Proceeds (15% of revenues) from Plant Delights Nursery's for-profit perennial plant nursery fund the research, ex situ conservation, educational programs, and ongoing maintenance of the not-for-profit Juniper Level Botanic Gardens, established in 1988, to bridge the gap between horticulture and botany. Juniper Level Botanic Gardens is also home to the Center for Mindfulness and Nonduality. The nursery operates as a mail order plant nursery through an extensive online shopping presence. It also hosts national and international plant societies and events as well as having 8 public open weekends per year where it sells perennial plants directly to the public on site. The garden and nursery also host educational classes to raise awareness of the mis-information prevalent in the gardening world, along with mindfulness and nonduality classes and retreats with Anita Avent at the Center for Mindfulness and Nonduality. Plant Delights Nursery has a specialty catalog with humorous, topical covers drawn by the acclaimed cartoonist Jack Pittman. Plant Delights Nursery has been featured in many newspapers, magazines, and on television.

Wake Technical Community College (Wake Tech) is a public community college in Raleigh, North Carolina. Its first location, Southern Wake Campus, opened in 1963. Wake Tech now operates multiple campuses throughout Wake County. The largest community college in North Carolina, Wake Tech is part of the North Carolina Community College System and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
