The Big Walnut Creek Nature Preserve, or simply Walnut Creek Preserve, is a 47-acre (19 ha) nature preserve located in northeast Austin, Texas in the United States.

Lyndon Baines Johnson (LBJ) Early College High School is a public high school in northeast Austin, Texas. At the time of its opening in 1974, LBJ was only the second high school in the U.S. (after the former Johnson City High School) to be named for the 36th President. In 1985, LBJ became the host of a new academic magnet program, the Science Academy of Austin (SA), which drew students from all over the city. A second high school magnet program, the Liberal Arts Academy of Austin (LAA), was opened at Albert Sidney Johnston High School in 1987; the two programs were merged in 2002, forming the Liberal Arts and Science Academy (LASA) magnet within LBJ. In 2007, the Austin Independent School District split LASA and LBJ into separate high schools with their own principals, faculty, and staff in order for LBJ to be eligible for a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to implement the "First Things First" educational enrichment program. After the split, LBJ and LASA were housed on the same campus (though largely on different floors) and continued to share athletic teams and certain extracurricular activities and electives (band, theater, newspaper, yearbook, choir, orchestra, etc.) until LASA's relocation. In 2011, via a partnership with the Austin Community College, LBJ established a new program through which students could earn up to 60 college credits while still in high school, earning it the "Early College High School" (ECHS) designation it bears today. In 2021, LASA relocated to the former Eastside Memorial Early College High School campus. LBJ Early College High School's mascot is the Jaguar, and the school's colors are purple and white. The principal of LBJ Early College High School is Jon Bailey. Patrick Patterson, who had been at the school since the 2004-2005 school year as part of the high school campus redesign program initiated to help raise TAKS scores, retired after the 2009-2010 school year. As a result of the split, LASA and LBJ are required to have separate principals. From 2007 to 2021, the school occupied the first floor of its campus, while LASA was on the second floor. Melissa B. Taboada of the Austin American-Statesman stated that some members of the Austin community "say the division [was] a constant blemish on the campus".

KIXL (970 AM) is a Catholic talk radio station in Del Valle, Texas, United States, broadcasting to the Austin-Round Rock area of Texas. KIXL is a Relevant Radio owned-and-operated station and has been since 2005; prior to Relevant Radio, KIXL was a locally programmed Christian station for nearly 30 years.

Nelson Field is a baseball park located in Austin, Texas and the temporary home of the Concordia University Tornados until their new baseball facility is completed in time for the 2010 season. The former baseball facility, Keller-Faszholz Field, hosted its last game on April 19, 2008. For the 2009 season, the college team has also used Dell Diamond. The Tornados are a member of the American Southwest Conference.

The Luedecke Arena is a 6,400-seat multi-purpose arena on the grounds of the Travis County Exposition Center in Austin, Texas. Built in 1983, the arena is home to the Star of Texas Fair & Rodeo, the Republic of Texas Biker Rally and the Austin Power indoor soccer team. The arena was formerly home to the Austin Ice Bats ice hockey team from 1996 to 2006. It was also home to four indoor football teams: the Texas Terminators of the IPFL in 1999, the Austin Knights/Rockers in 2002 and 2003, the Austin Turfcats in 2009 and 2010, and the Austin Wild in 2018 and 2019. Depending on configuration, the arena floor can be configured to seat up to an additional 3,000 for a variety of events.

Nelson Field is a multi-use stadium in Austin, Texas, located on the north side of U.S. Route 290 at the junction with Berkman Drive. It serves as home stadium for LBJ High School, Anderson High School, Eastside High School and Northeast High School. The stadium's capacity is 8,800 spectators.

KTXZ is an AM radio station, operating at 1560 kHz, licensed to West Lake Hills, Texas, and is owned by Encino Broadcasting LLC. The station airs a Tejano music format. A transmitter site is located in Northeast Austin and the station has studios along Loop 360 in Southwest Austin. KTXZ was purchased by Encino Broadcasting LLC, along with KELG and KOKE on September 24, 2007.

The Windsor Park neighborhood is located in Austin, Texas, and bounded on the south by 51st St. to Tilley St., southwest to Philomena St., southeast along the Central Texas Emergency Command Center and Troublemaker Studios property line to Zach Scott St., east to Manor Rd., northeast to Northeast Dr., northwest/north to US Highway 290, east to Interstate 35 in Texas|IH35], then south to E 51st St.

Northeast Early College High School is a public, co-educational secondary school in Austin, Texas. It is part of the Austin Independent School District. Northeast High School opened in 1965 and was originally named for John Henninger Reagan, a 19th-century U.S. Senator from Texas and the postmaster general of the Confederate States of America. Northeast High School was renamed before the 2019-2020 school year.

The Islamic Center of Greater Austin or ICGA is a mosque and Islamic community center in Austin, Texas in the United States.The Center was established in March 1977 as a non-profit religious organization registered with the State of Texas and is affiliated with the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), which is a subsidiary of ISNA, as its trustee. The center's property is waqf under NAIT.

Austin Peace Academy (APA) is an Islamic school in Austin, Texas, serving PreKindergarten through grade 12. As of 2016, its students originate from 19 nationalities. It opened in 1997 in West Campus, housing PreK-Kindergarten, and moved to current location in 1999. The school received its current name in 2003.

The Aynesworth–Wright House is a historic Austin, Texas, house, built in 1852 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is now located at Pioneer Farms, 10621 Pioneer Farms Drive.
