Glanford Brigg Power Station

The Buttercross, also known as Brigg Town Hall, is a municipal building in the Market Place in Brigg, Lincolnshire, England. The structure, which is used as a tourist information centre and as an events venue, is a Grade II listed building.

Newstead-on-Ancholme Priory was a priory in Lincolnshire, England. The Gilbertine priory of Holy Trinity, Newstead-on-Ancholme, was founded for Gilbertine canons by King Henry II in 1171. The endowment was small, and the number of canons and lay brothers was limited by Saint Gilbert to thirteen. The priory was surrendered in 1538, by the prior, Robert Hobson, and five canons. Newstead Priory farmhouse, a grade I listed building was built on the site, and one room in the farmhouse is a vaulted room of the Gibertine priory, possibly part of the refectory.

Brigg railway station serves the town of Brigg in North Lincolnshire, England. It opened on 1 November 1848. It is managed by Northern Trains, who also operate all passenger trains serving it.

The town lies at the junction of the River Ancholme and east–west transport routes across northern Lincolnshire. As a formerly important local centre, the town's full name of Glanford Brigg is reflected in the surrounding area and local government district of the same name. The town's urban area includes the neighbouring hamlet of Scawby Brook.

Brigg Town Football Club CIC is a football club based in Brigg, Lincolnshire, England. They are currently members of the Northern Counties East League Division One and play at the Hawthorns. Established in 1864, they are one of the oldest football clubs in the world.

Hibaldstow is a village and civil parish in North Lincolnshire, England. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 2,433. It is situated on the B1206 road, 4 miles (6.4 km) south from Brigg and the M180. The site of the deserted medieval village of Gainsthorpe is nearby.

Scawby railway station, also known as Scawby and Hibaldstow railway station, was a station in Scawby, Lincolnshire. It was located on the line between Gainsborough and Grimsby. The station opened in 1849 and closed in 1968 but the line still remains open but calling at fewer stations than it once did.

Scawby is a village and civil parish in North Lincolnshire, England. It is situated 2 miles (3 km) south-west from Brigg, and just east from the A15 road, and south from the M180 motorway. According to the 2001 Census, Scawby population (including Sturton) was 2,277, reducing slightly to 2,243 at the 2011 census.The village is noted for the Nelthorpe family who owned the manor and lived at Scawby Hall. Sir John Nelthorpe founded Brigg Grammar School in 1669. Sturton was formerly a separate hamlet a little to the south of Scawby, but development of the land between the two has incorporated the settlement into the main village. Scawby Brook, situated to the east just outside Brigg, is also partly within the parish. Also in the parish, to the west of the main village, is the roadside hamlet of Greetwell on the B1398 road.

Sturton is a village in the civil parish of Scawby, North Lincolnshire, England. It lies 2.5 miles (4.0 km) south-west from Brigg, 0.5 miles (0.8 km) south from Scawby, to which it is conjoined, and 1 mile (1.6 km) south from the M180 on the B1207. During the 19th century Kelly's Directory noted that Sturton was a hamlet in the parish of Scawby-cum-Sturton, which also included the hamlet of Scawby Brook, 1.5 miles (2.4 km) to the north-east. The railway station for Sturton and Scawby on the Gainsborough to Brigg line lies within Sturton, 0.75 miles (1.2 km) to the south. The station and line was part of the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway. Sturton has three Grade II listed farmhouses: c.1849 Station Farmhouse, late 18th-century Home Farmhouse, and late 18th-century Manor Farmhouse.

Pingley POW (prisoner of war) camp is one of the few remaining POW camps in the United Kingdom in good condition. Unlike the nearby Eden Camp which is preserved as a Second World War museum, Pingley Camp lies in a semi derelict state in the grounds of Pingley Farm. It is situated on the outskirts of Brigg, Lincolnshire. The camp was used to house mainly Italian prisoners of war, though Germans were also held there. After the war the camp was used as an emergency sheltered housing under the name Pingley Farm Hostel. The original buildings used (and constructed) by the prisoners are situated towards the rear of the site entrance and remain in bad condition. The brick buildings at the front of the site are in fairly good condition, and have post war modifications dating from around 1950–1980. The camp has been demolished as of January 2009, and the site was redeveloped as housing. The area has been developed with ten luxury executive houses and is now known as the Pingley Park estate. The first was started in July 2010.
