Sturegatan

Stureparken is a small park in the borough of Östermalm in Stockholm, Sweden. The park is situated at the corner of Östermalmsgatan / Sturegatan. The park began construction in 1906. Stureparken is surrounded by several architecturally interesting buildings. Included are the residential buildings Björken 18 which was designed by architect Fredrik Dahlberg and built between 1885-1886 and Rosenborgshuset which was designed by Ferdinand Boberg and built between 1883–1884.

The Nobel Foundation (Swedish: Nobelstiftelsen) is a private institution founded on 29 June 1900 to manage the finances and administration of the Nobel Prizes. The Foundation is based on the last will of Alfred Nobel, the inventor of dynamite.It also holds Nobel Symposia on important breakthroughs in science and topics of cultural or social significance.

Acne Studios is a multidisciplinary luxury fashion house based in Stockholm, Sweden that specializes in men's and women's ready-to-wear fashion, footwear, accessories and denim. The Embassy of Poland in Stockholm (Swedish: Republiken Polens Ambassad i Stockholm; Polish: Ambasada Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej w Sztokholmie) is the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Poland to the Kingdom of Sweden. The chancery is located at Karlavägen 35, Stockholm. The main chancery of the Polish embassy in Stockholm is located in the city centre district of Östermalm on a street which borders the Humlegården park. The building which houses the embassy is a mix of 1920s modernist design and classical architecture which also incorporates a number of elements of the late Art Deco style such as the heavily ornamented but functional window surrounds. The consular section which is located at Prästgårdsgatan 5, in the suburb of Sundbyberg.

Palmgrenska samskolan ('Palmgren Coeducational School'), originally Praktiska arbetsskolan för barn och ungdom ('Practical Work School for Children and Youth'), in Stockholm, Sweden, was the first school in Scandinavia to offer coeducation up to the studentexamen. It was also the first to offer sloyd, a handicraft-based education, in addition to theoretical subjects. The school changed its name to Palmgrenska samskolan in 1891–1892. The school was founded in 1876 by Edvard Palmgren (father of Valfrid Palmgren) who was rector until 1907. A later co-owner and rector was Carl Nordblad; the other co-owner was well-known mathematics teacher and textbook author John Hedström. Henning L. Håkanson (1892–1985) was rector from 1925 to 1963. The school was originally located in Brunkeberg Hotel, where only sloyd was taught, but moved in 1877 to Regeringsgatan 28, where the school was divided into two departments, one for reading and manual work and one exclusively for manual work. Gradually it developed into a complete school of 12 classes in two sections, an early primary school (småskola) and a later primary school. From 1883 it received state subsidies and in 1888 the right to employ examiners for the studentexamen (at that time known as mogenhetsprövning, 'maturity exam') and in 1908 the right to take the real school examination. In 1915 the school was taken over by a joint-stock company and in 1925 by the religious Fredrika Foundation.Between 1877 and 1938 the school had several different addresses on Malmtorgsgatan and Arsenalsgatan before settling at Kommendörsgatan 13.Primary school was introduced gradually from 1962 The school was private but was municipalized in 1974. Operations ended on 10 June 1977 after the 100th school year. The French government bought the building in 1988 for 8.4 million SEK and has converted the exterior of the Q-marked (culturally protected) building into an embassy building. In the autobiographical book Laterna magica, Ingmar Bergman has commented on the teachers at the Palmgren Coeducational School. The film Torment is also autobiographical and deals with the school. Notable teachers include Oskar Lindberg (1910–1920) and Eric Ericson (1944–1952).

Humlegården is a major park in the district of Östermalm in Stockholm, Sweden. The park borders on Karlavägen in the north, Sturegatan in the east, Humlegårdsgatan in the south and Engelbrektsgatan in the west. It is the location of the Swedish Royal Library (Kungliga biblioteket).

The Royal Swedish Academy of Letters, History and Antiquities also called simply the Royal Academy of Letters or Vitterhetsakademin abbreviated KVHAA (Swedish: Kungl. Vitterhetsakademien Historie och Antikvitets Akademien or Kungliga Vitterhets Historie och Antikvitets Akademien or Vitterhetsakademien) is the Swedish royal academy for the Humanities. Its many publications include the archaeological and art historical journal Fornvännen, published since 1906.

The National Library of Sweden (Swedish: Kungliga biblioteket, KB, meaning "the Royal Library") is Sweden's national library. It collects and preserves all domestic printed and audio-visual materials in Swedish, as well as content with Swedish association published abroad. Being a research library, it also has major collections of literature in other languages.

Sturecompagniet is one of Swedens biggest and most known nightclubs and is located at the old Sturebadets 1800-locals at Sturegatan 4 at Stureplan in Stockholm. Close to Sturecompagniet lies nightclubs Hell's Kitchen and IV. Sturecompagniet was in 1994 the scene of the notorious mass murder perpetrated by Tommy Zethraeus.

Folkan (also known as Folkteatern, English: People's Theater) was a theatre at Östermalmstorg in Stockholm, Sweden. It was built in 1856 and demolished in 2008 because of problems with the foundation. The theatre was called Ladugårdslandsteatern when it was built, but was renamed to Bijou-teatern in 1877. It got the name Folkan in 1887.

Sturehof is a seafood and shellfish restaurant located on the Stureplan in central Stockholm, Sweden.

Stureplan is a public square in central Stockholm, between Norrmalm and Östermalm. The square connects the major streets Kungsgatan, Birger Jarlsgatan and Sturegatan. The buildings around the square house offices of banks and other financial institutions, as well as several corporate headquarters. Some of the country's most famous and expensive restaurants and bars are located in the area around Stureplan. Some examples are Sturehof, Spy Bar, Riche, Laroy, Hell's Kitchen, East and Sturecompagniet. Shops in the area include Versace, Hugo Boss, Gucci, and LV. In Sweden, Stureplan has also become a well-known symbol for exclusivity since the major refurbishments during the 1980s. Known as an area with many expensive, luxurious bars and restaurants, it is considered a playground for upper-class youth, celebrities, young business executives and the hipper, more recent members of the Swedish Royal Family.Close to Stureplan is the park Humlegården with the National Library of Sweden. Stureplan is connected to Östermalmstorg metro station of the Stockholm Metro.
