The Joy Cinema and Pub, formerly known as the Joy Theater, is a single-screen repertory cinema located in Tigard, Oregon.

Opened in 1981, the six-building complex was built over a decade and includes the 12-story Lincoln Tower, the tallest building in Washington County. Located on S.W. Greenburg Road at Oregon Route 217, Lincoln Center is adjacent to the Washington Square shopping mall in the Portland metropolitan area.

Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue (TVF&R) is a special-purpose government fire fighting and emergency services district in the Portland metropolitan area of Oregon. Established in 1989 with a merger between Washington County Fire District 1 and the Tualatin Rural Fire Protection District, it primarily provides fire and emergency medical services in eastern Washington County, but also provides services in neighboring Multnomah, Clackamas, and Yamhill counties. It serves unincorporated areas along with the cities of Beaverton, Tigard, Tualatin, West Linn, Wilsonville, and Sherwood, among others. With over 400 firefighters and 27 fire stations, the district is the second largest fire department in the state and has an annual budget of $197 million.

John Tigard House is a home built in 1880 located in Tigard, Oregon. The home was originally owned by John Tigard, the son of Tigard founder, Wilson Tigard. Queen Anne in style, the structure was moved from its original location along Oregon Route 99W in 1978. Now a museum, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Progress, Oregon is a neighborhood in Washington County, Oregon, United States. Originally an unincorporated community that stood apart from any city, most of Progress now lies within the city limits of either Tigard or Beaverton. Other nearby communities include Garden Home and Metzger. Progress is located in the area surrounding the intersection of Oregon Route 217, Oregon Route 210 (Scholls Ferry Road), and the unsigned Oregon Route 141 (Hall Boulevard). Today, Scholls Ferry Road forms much of the boundary between Tigard and Beaverton. The Progress area is home to Washington Square, a large, upscale shopping mall that opened in 1973–1974. Progress is also located along the Tigard-Beaverton branch line, a rail line operated by Portland & Western Railroad, which currently provides freight service to Washington County. This line is one of many rail lines in Oregon that formerly provided passenger service. With the opening of the Westside Express Service (WES) commuter-rail service in February 2009, passenger service returned to these tracks, in weekday peak periods only. The WES line's Hall/Nimbus station is located at the western edge of Progress.

Portland Seminary at George Fox University is a multi-denominational, university-based school that offers a variety of master's degree and postgraduate degree programs in theology and ministry, located in Portland, Oregon. The Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada granted the seminary full accreditation in 1974. It remains a fully accredited member to present. Located in the Portland metropolitan area along Oregon Route 217, the shopping complex is one of the top grossing malls per square foot in the United States, with sales of $716/ft². Opened in 1973, the mall is currently managed and co-owned by The Macerich Company, a real estate investment trust, and is anchored by Macy's, Nordstrom, JCPenney, and Dick's Sporting Goods.
