Canton of Antibes-Biot

The canton of Antibes-Centre is a former administrative division in southeastern France. It was disbanded following the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. It had 28,964 inhabitants (2012). It comprised part of the commune of Antibes.

Antibes (, also US: , French: [ɑ̃tib] (listen); Provençal: Antíbol) is a coastal city in the Alpes-Maritimes department of southeastern France, on the Côte d'Azur between Cannes and Nice. The town of Juan-les-Pins is in the commune of Antibes and the Sophia Antipolis technology park is northwest of it.

The siege of Antibes took place in the winter of 1746–47, during the War of the Austrian Succession. A combined Austro-Savoyard army, commanded by Maximilian Ulysses Browne, invaded France and laid siege to Antibes on the French Mediterranean coast. Despite having British naval support, the Allies failed to capture the town, and after two months Browne's army was forced to lift the siege and retreat back over the border into Savoy.

The Musée Picasso, formerly the Château Grimaldi at Antibes, is built upon the foundations of the ancient Greek town of Antipolis. Port Vauban is a French yachting harbor located in Antibes on the French Riviera. Originally a natural harbor in use since before the Roman Empire, the port was fortified by Sébastien Le Prestre, Seigneur de Vauban, later Marquis de Vauban, King Louis XIV's military engineer. Port Vauban now serves as the home of the Yacht Club d'Antibes and is the largest marina (in terms of total tonnage of the boats and yachts moored there) in the Mediterranean Sea. Some of the world's largest and most lavishly appointed yachts have Port Vauban as their home port, including Russian oil businessman Roman Abramovich's 86 m Ecstasea and his gift to fellow Russian businessman Eugene Shvidler (Le Grand Bleu). Co-founder of Microsoft Paul Allen's yacht Octopus is a regular visitor to the harbor. In the early part of the 20th century, Port Vauban also accommodated numerous seaplanes and a seaplane manufacturer. As of 2012, typical rates for a berth in Port Vauban are between €1m to €1.4m.

Antibes station (French: Gare d'Antibes) is a railway station located in Antibes, Alpes-Maritimes, southern France. The station is located on the Marseille–Ventimiglia railway. The train services are operated by SNCF.

Stade du Fort Carré is a multi-use stadium in Antibes, France, home ground of the FC Antibes, named after the neighboring Fort Carré. It is currently used mostly for football matches and the local athletics club. The stadium is able to hold 7,000 people. During the 1938 World Cup, it hosted one game, between Sweden and Cuba.

The Jean Bunoz Sports Hall was an indoor arena that was located in Antibes, France. The arena was primarily used to host basketball games, however it could also be used to host numerous other events, such as: acrobatic gymnastics, boxing, circus performances, competitive dance, concerts, ice skating, martial arts, trampolining, and World Squash. For basketball games, it had a seating capacity of 5,051 people.

The Jardin botanique de la Villa Thuret (3.5 hectares (8.6 acres)) is a renowned botanical garden located on the grounds of the Villa Thuret, 90, chemin Raymond, Antibes Juan-les-Pins, Alpes-Maritimes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France. It is open weekdays without charge.

Juan-les-Pins (French pronunciation: ​[ʒɥɑ̃ le pɛ̃]; Occitan: Joan dei Pins) is a town in the commune of Antibes in the Alpes-Maritimes department in Southeastern France. Located on the French Riviera, it is situated between Nice and Cannes, 13 kilometres (8 mi) to the southwest of Nice Côte d'Azur Airport. Juan-les-Pins is a major holiday destination popular with the international jet set, with a casino, nightclubs and beaches. It is served by Juan-les-Pins station on the Marseille–Ventimiglia railway.
