Konan Women's University (甲南女子大学, Kōnan joshi daigaku) is a private women's college in Higashinada-ku, Kobe, Hyōgo, Japan. The predecessor of the school was founded in 1920, and it was chartered as a junior college in 1955. In 1964 it became a four-year college.

Konan University (甲南大学, Kōnan Daigaku) is a university on the slopes of Mount Rokkō in Higashinada-ku, Kobe, Japan. A private university with approximately 10,000 students, it offers a wide variety of programs to Japanese students, as well as an international exchange program through the Konan International Exchange Center.

Ōgi Station (青木駅, Ōgi-eki) is an elevated station on the Hanshin Electric Railway Main Line in Japan, with trains travelling east to Hanshin's terminal in Umeda (Osaka), and west to central Kobe (Motomachi and Sannomiya). At Motomachi, number of limited express trains carry on along the Sanyo Railway to Himeji city. This section of the track will be elevated, in keeping with the majority of the line.

Ashiyagawa Station (芦屋川駅, Ashiyagawa-eki, station number: HK-10) is a passenger railway station located in the city of Ashiya, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by the private transportation company Hankyu Railway.

The Yodokō Guest House was built as the summer villa for the well-to-do brewer of Sakura-Masamune sake, Tazaemon Yamamura, and is the only surviving Frank Lloyd Wright residence in Japan. The guest house was designed in 1918, and construction was completed in 1924.Set into a hilltop in Ashiya, overlooking the Port of Kobe in western Japan, the villa demonstrates Wright's genius for spatial composition: although it has four levels, none is taller than two stories. By stepping the house into the hill, Wright took advantage of the extraordinary views of Osaka Bay the site offered. The exterior evokes Wright's Los Angeles textile block houses, but its decorative blocks are of Oya stone, not concrete.In 1947, the house became the property of Yodogawa Steel Works, Ltd., and was used as an official residence for the company president. It was the first Taishō period building in Japan to be named an Important Cultural Property, in 1974. It was opened to the public as Yodokō Guest House in 1989. The building was damaged due to the Great Hanshin earthquake in 1995, but was subsequently repaired and has been re-opened.

Nada High School is well known for its severe entrance examination and superior education especially in sciences. Nada High School has sent the largest number of its students to University of Tokyo, Kyoto University, and other top-tier medical universities in Japan. Nada High School also sends its graduates to prestigious universities abroad (Harvard University, University of Chicago, Princeton University, Cornell University, Washington University in St. Louis, etc.) Nada High School offers courses in English, Mathematics, Science, History, Ethics, Political Science, Economics, and a range of electives. In addition, the school offers a concentration program in Judo. The Judo class during freshman year are intended to commemorate the founder of the school, Kanō Jigorō. Nada High School also offers a range of extracurricular activities, including thirty-six interscholastic teams in sports, academic clubs, and student-run publications.

The total area of the city is 53.44 square kilometres (20.63 sq mi). It has a reputation as a high-end residential area.
