The Liverpool Civil and Family Court, Vernon Street Liverpool, England. It is operated by Her Majesty's Courts Service. The building contains the city's county court and family court.

One Park West is a 17-storey building in central Liverpool, England, designed by architect César Pelli. Bordering Chavasse Park, it is part of Liverpool One, a 42-acre (17 ha) £920m redevelopment of Liverpool's city centre. The developer was the Duke of Westminster's Grosvenor Group. One Park West consists of 326 apartments, offices, restaurants, cafés and parking. Blocks B and A of One Park West are the 21st and 31st tallest buildings in Liverpool respectively.

Liverpool Castle was a castle in Liverpool, England, that stood from the early 13th century to the early 18th century (1237-1726).

The Queen Victoria Monument is a large neo-Baroque or Beaux-Arts monument built over the former site of Liverpool Castle at Derby Square in Liverpool. A large ensemble featuring 26 bronze figures by C. J. Allen (some in New Sculpture style), it was designed by F. M. Simpson of the Liverpool School of Architecture, in collaboration with the local architectural firm of Willink and Thicknesse and built of Portland stone. The foundation stone was laid on 11 October 1902 by Field Marshal Lord Roberts, Commander-in-Chief of the Forces. The monument was unveiled on 27 September 1906. It is a Grade II Listed structure, a preservation category for structures of special public interest. Sharples and Pollard, in the Liverpool volume of the Pevsner Architectural Guides, describe the work as Allen's greatest, and as one of the most ambitious monuments to Queen Victoria.There are four groups of figures around the pedestal, representing agriculture, commerce, industry and education. Among the figures representing education is a statue modelled on Sir Oliver Lodge. A large (4.42 metres (14.5 ft)) statue of Queen Victoria is at the centre, centred in four groups of columns which support a baldacchino-like open dome (which Terry Cavanagh called the monument's "least successful feature"). On top of the column groups are four allegorical figures representing justice, wisdom, charity, and peace. Atop the dome itself is a large figure representing fame.In 2002, as part of the Liverpool Biennial festival, Japanese artist Tatsurou Bashi (b. 1960) created a hotel room around the statue of the Queen entitled Villa Victoria, in which paying guests could spend a night.

Chavasse Park is an open space in the city centre of Liverpool, England, United Kingdom. It was named in commemoration of the Chavasse family; Francis (2nd Bishop of Liverpool) and his twin sons Christopher Maude Chavasse (an Olympic athlete and later Bishop of Rochester), and Noel Godfrey Chavasse (an Olympic athlete, doctor, and one of only three men to win the Victoria Cross and Bar). The park was designated in the 1980s and originally consisted of a 2–3-acre plot of unfenced grass verges, framed by city centre buildings; the Queen Elizabeth II law courts lay to the north, and Canning Place police headquarters to the south. The west side of the park was bounded by the Dock Road, while beyond that were the historic Salthouse, and Albert Docks. For many years the park was the home of the Yellow Submarine, built for the International Garden Festival in 1984, and now to be seen at Liverpool John Lennon Airport. The park itself was extensively altered as part of the Paradise Project redevelopment scheme. The park was excavated in Spring 2004 prior to the commencement of the Paradise Project (now known as Liverpool One). The park was reinstated atop a new 2000-space underground car park, rising in terraces to connect to the newly constructed pavilions above South John Street. It re-opened in Autumn 2008. Chavasse Park was home to the John Lennon Peace Monument. Entitled 'Peace and Harmony' Monument, the eighteen foot high monument was dedicated to John Lennon to commemorate the 70th anniversary of his birth. The monument is now located outside of the Echo Arena. Chavasse Park is dominated by the residential development, One Park West to the west, Liverpool One to the north, the Hilton Liverpool to the east and the Albert Dock to the south.

Derby Square is in the city centre of Liverpool, England. The square stands on what was the original site for Liverpool Castle. Records differ on when it was built, but it is believed to have been constructed any time from 1208 to 1235. Following the English Civil War, parliament ordered the castle to be destroyed and by 1715 the castle was a ruin, with its bricks and stone being recycled for other building work in the city. St George's Church was built on the square and opened in 1726. The church had to be rebuilt between 1809 - 1825 as the tower was starting to crack. This was because the church was built over part of the rubble-filled moat of the old castle and had began to settle and crack. Funding for the church was stopped by Liverpool Corporation after an anti-Semetic sermon was preached following the appointment of a Jewish Mayor, Charles Mozley, in 1863. The church closed in 1897 and was demolished two years later. Between 1838-40 the architect Edward Corbett constructed the North and South Wales Bank building, which is now known as Castle Moat House and still stands on the square. The Victoria Momument, dedicated to Queen Victoria, was built on the square and was officially unveiled in 1906. The monument was given Grade II listed status in 1975. The square was damaged extensively during the 1941 blitz, though despite the heavy damage, the Victoria Monument escaped without any serious damage. In 1973, construction work began on Queen Elizabeth II Law Courts, Liverpool, with the facility opening in 1984. The 1970s also saw the square linked to The Strand as part of Liverpool's skyway project. The project was never fully implemented and the bridges were removed in the 2000s.

Lord Street is one of the main streets in central Liverpool, England that forms the city's main shopping district. The street is relatively short at less than 300 metres in length, it joins onto Church Street to the east and James Street alongside Derby Square and the Queen Elizabeth II Law Courts. The majority of land to the south of Lord Street is occupied by the Liverpool One complex, whilst the likes of Cavern Walks are located on the north side of the street.

The Old Dock, originally known as Thomas Steers' dock, was the world's first commercial wet dock. The 3+1⁄2 acres (1.4 ha) dock was built on the River Mersey in Liverpool, England, starting in 1710 and completed in 1716. A natural tidal pool off the River Mersey, which probably gave its name to Liverpool centuries earlier, was partially filled and locked in from the river with quay walls erected.

Canning railway station (previously Custom House station) was a railway station on the Liverpool Overhead Railway. It was opened on 6 March 1893 by the Marquis of Salisbury, originally as Custom House station, due to its nearby location to Custom House, Liverpool, which was heavily bombed during The Blitz. After Customs moved to a new building the station was renamed Canning in 1947, so as not to confuse passengers. Providing access to Custom House and a number of other busy work locations, Canning was one of the busiest stations on the railway.The station closed, along with the rest of the line on 30 December 1956. No evidence of this station remains.

The National Westminster Bank, Castle Street, Liverpool, England is a Grade II* listed building. A typical 19th-century bank building of early renaissance style with closely spaced classically styled windows and a heavily moulded cornice. The interior has well-preserved plaster mouldings and has been sympathetically updated, and featured in NatWest's TV advertisements from July 2010.

62 Castle Street is a Grade II listed building located on the west side of Castle Street, Liverpool. It was built in 1868 for the Alliance Bank and was later occupied by The North and South Wales Bank and most recently by the Midland Bank. The building was designed by the architects Lucy and Littler and features a domed banking hall with paired corinthian columns. The two bays to the right of the building are a matching addition, designed by G. E. Grayson. After the Midland Bank had relocated to the northern end of the street, the building was converted in 1990 by Wayne Rose, a Liverpool businessman, at the age of 23, into a bar, restaurant and a 4-star rated, 20-bed, all-suite hotel, known as Trials Hotel due to its close proximity to the Queen Elizabeth Law Courts. The building was bought by Centre Island Hotels in 2004 and refurbished to its current condition as a boutique hotel named “62 Castle Street”. In Summer 2020 following partial relaxations of the UK's Covid National Lockdown during which the hotel had been closed since late March, Centre Island Hotels announced that the hotel would not reopen.

The Custom House was a 19th-century Neo-classical building located in Liverpool, England that housed a post office, dock office, and offices for Customs and Excise. It was built on the site of the historic Old Dock in 1839 and operated up to World War II when it was partly destroyed during the Liverpool Blitz, then finally demolished in 1948. Today the area which formed the base of the building makes up part of the Liverpool One shopping complex.
