Cove Bay railway station served the suburb of Cove Bay, Aberdeen, Scotland from 1850 to 1956 on the Aberdeen Railway.

St Mary the Virgin (Cove Bay) is an Episcopal Church in Cove Bay, Aberdeen, Scotland. It is part of the Diocese of Aberdeen and Orkney in the Scottish Episcopal Church. Since October 2003, the Episcopal congregation has been sharing the church building with another congregation from Cove Congregational Church. While the two congregations worship separately they do share many aspect of church life.

Cove Bay, known locally as Cove, is a suburb on the south-east edge of Aberdeen, Scotland. Today Cove is home to around 8,000 people. It is a popular residential location owing to its village-like status. It is a quiet suburb at the Southern edge of Aberdeen City and in 2015 won the Silver award for Scotland in bloom. Altens and Tullos Industrial Estates offer nearby employment opportunities. There is also easy access to the new AWPR A90.

Altens is a district in Aberdeen, on the north-east coast of Scotland.Altens is home to a large industrial estate, alongside a similar estate in neighbouring Tullos. The industrial estates have offices, including a large facility built for Royal Dutch Shell, as well as industrial units of various sizes, including the Royal Mail's main mail centre for the North East of Scotland. There are also warehouses, car dealerships, and a civic amenity site. The area is also home to one of three North East Scotland College campuses in Aberdeen City. The industrial estate is home to Grampian Continental headquarters and a depot for RTH Lubbers UK. These two companies have depots in England and the Netherlands.

Lochside Academy is a co-educational secondary school in Altens, Aberdeen, run by Aberdeen City Council. Its feeder primary schools are Abbotswell School, Charleston School, Kirkhill School, Loirston School, Tullos School, and Walker Road School. It serves secondary age pupils in the Cove Bay, Kincorth, Torry, and Nigg areas of Aberdeen. It opened in August 2018, at the start of the new school year.

Findon (Gaelic: Fionndan, Scots: Finnan) is a fishing village eight miles south of Aberdeen, famous for originating the smoked haddock known as Finnan haddie. The Findon moor has a number of paths through it, many of which run along the cliffs. Deer can often be seen there. Nearby features include the Portlethen Moss Nature Reserve. Historical buildings in the area include Elsick House, Gillybrands and Muchalls Castle.

Nigg is an area of Aberdeen, Scotland, south of the River Dee. It has a population of 16,400 (2019 estimate). The area has a bay known as the Bay of Nigg or Nigg Bay, immediately south of a coastal golf course, and a farm that is also a visitor attraction, known as Doonies Farm.

Tullos is an area of Aberdeen, Scotland. The area takes its name from the Vale of Tullos, which lies between Tullos Hill and Torry Hill. Tullos derived its name from a corruption of the Gaelic ‘Tulach’ meaning a hill. In this extract from the "Book of St. Fittick", published in 1902, Dr. Thomas White Ogilvie describes what the scene looked like in his day. "It is full of quiet charm, this little glen, with its Kirk on the height and its Kirk in the hollow, extending from the great gap in the cliff, which forms the Bay, up to the river, where, with majestic bend, it sweeps glittering and gurgling by Allenvale and Duthie Park, sweetest of resting places for the quick and the dead." The scene is very different today. In 1850 the Caledonian, Great North of Scotland and North British Railways began to provide rail links to Aberdeen. The main line cut through the Vale of Tullos. The area south of the railway line is full of car showrooms, oil yards and waste recycling plants. Northwards, a vast area of densely packed housing covers the hillside. Tullos is now home to the headquarters of Northsound Radio, Original 106 Aberdeen and STV North (formerly Grampian Television).

The NESS Energy Project is an incinerator currently under construction in Aberdeen, UK. It is situated in East Tullos Industrial Estate on a site formerly used for gas storage.

Original 106 is an Independent Local Radio station owned by DC Thomson and broadcasting to Aberdeenshire and the cities of Aberdeen, Dundee and Perth in Scotland.As of September 2023, the station broadcasts to a weekly audience of 77,000, according to RAJAR.

Northsound Radio was the name for the original Independent Local Radio station broadcast from Aberdeen and serving the North East of Scotland. In 1995, the station split to become two separate stations.

Doonies Rare Breeds Farm was a farm in Aberdeen, Scotland. Doonies Farm had one of Scotland's largest collections of rare and endangered farm animal breeds. The farm occupied 134 acres and was nationally recognised as a breeding centre for rare breeds. There were 23 rare animal breeds on the farm, such as pigs, cattle, sheep, horses, chickens and ducks. During the Easter time of year, new arrivals could be seen such as lambs, calves, chicks and foals. Doonies farm stood on the coast, just past the old fishing village of Cove in Aberdeen, Scotland. At the time of its closure, Doonies Farm operated as a family-run business; however, the farm was owned and operated by Aberdeen City Council for roughly 20 years. Doonies Farm finally closed on the 21st of August, 2023, as a result of the nearby ETZ (Energy Transition Zone) being built by the council.
