Twickenham railway station

TwickFolk (previously known as Twickenham Folk Club) organises acoustic music events in and around Twickenham, south-west London. A registered charity, it is run, not for profit, by a small group of volunteers. It was established in January 1983 and is now one of the best known and most highly respected folk clubs in London and the South East of England.TwickFolk organises gigs on Sunday evenings, usually at the Patchworks music venue at The Cabbage Patch pub in London Road, Twickenham, featuring British and North American acoustic folk and roots-based music in a programme that includes blues, country music and Americana as well as traditional folk music. The evening usually consists of a main "guest" preceded by a support act or several floor spots. Occasionally TwickFolk organises singers' nights. These consist of either several performed floor spots or an unplugged singaround where everyone sits in a circle and those who want to sing or play an instrument can take turns to do so. TwickFolk has also organised workshops on building a cigar box guitar and on playing guitar and nyckelharpa.TwickFolk has also held charity fundraising nights benefiting national and local charities.

The Exchange, Twickenham is a community building, including a 320-seat theatre, at Brewery Wharf opposite Twickenham railway station in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It opened in October 2017. The building is owned by Richmond upon Thames Council and is managed by St Mary's University, Twickenham.Its programme includes talks, drama performances, film screenings by the local Twickenham Cinema Club, and folk music events organised in partnership with TwickFolk.

Candler Almshouses are almshouses at 79 Amyand Park Road, Twickenham TW1 3HJ in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, England.The ten almshouses are now managed by The Richmond Charities. New residents are accepted from 65 years of age.The current almshouses were built in 1936. They are named after William Candler (1826–1907), a grocer in Twickenham who left money to build them. He is buried in Richmond Cemetery.

Eel Pie Island Museum is a volunteer-run museum on Richmond Road in Twickenham in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It opened in February 2018 and tells the story of Eel Pie Island, including its historic boatyards (some of whose boats took part in the evacuation of Dunkirk in 1940), its contribution to the development of the popular music scene in the 1960s (the island had a hotel whose ballroom hosted some important music acts), and the life of the wind-up radio inventor, Trevor Baylis, who was a resident of the island. The museum's founder and curator is Michele Whitby.

St Richard Reynolds Catholic College is a coeducational Catholic school for pupils aged 4 to 18. It is located in Twickenham, in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, England.The school is named after Saint Richard Reynolds, a Brigittine monk at Syon Abbey who was executed in 1535 for refusing the Oath of Supremacy to King Henry VIII of England. The feast day of St Richard Reynolds is 4 May.St Richard Reynolds Catholic College consists of a primary school and a high school: St Richard Reynolds Catholic Primary School for pupils aged 4 to 11 and St Richard Reynolds Catholic High School for pupils aged 11 to 18. The Twickenham Museum is a volunteer-run museum in Twickenham in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It is located opposite St Mary's parish church at 25 The Embankment, Twickenham TW1 3DU, an 18th-century three-storey building which has been listed Grade II by Historic England and was donated to the museum.An independent museum, the Twickenham Museum is run by a registered charity that was first registered in 1993.The museum's area of interest is the history of Teddington, Twickenham, Whitton and the Hamptons, which, until local government boundary changes in 1965, formed the Municipal Borough of Twickenham. It collects, researches and displays archives, artefacts and information from these areas and provides related historical information on its website. The museum also mounts exhibitions.In 2014, it received £9000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund's Then and Now programme for a project on the 1914 Christmas truce during the First World War that led to a soldier, Frank Edwards, kicking a football when fighting the Battle of Loos in 1915.

All Hallows Twickenham is a Grade I listed church and parish of the Church of England in Twickenham, London. It incorporates the tower of All Hallows Lombard Street and is prominently south of a major road of west London, near Twickenham Stadium, specifically the Chertsey Road (A316). The church took many structures of Sir Christopher Wren's All Hallows Lombard Street in the City of London which was demolished in 1937; its stone square tower, bells, stone pillared cloister and many interior fittings and furnishings were moved to the site.
