Laura Secord Secondary School, also known simply as Laura Secord, is a public secondary school in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. It is located near the corner of Niagara and Carlton Streets. Laura Secord is a part of the District School Board of Niagara (DSBN). The school was founded in 1966.

Facer is a community in the city of St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the North East part of the city, bounded by the Queen Elizabeth Way and Welland Avenue to the South, Grantham Avenue to the East, Carlton Street to the North and Niagara Street to the West, with Facer Street being the main access road through the community. Facer is home to a vibrant immigrant community dominated by Polish- and Ukrainian-Canadians, with a sizable minority of Italian-Canadians in the east end of the community near Grantham Avenue. It is one of the few areas outside of the Greater Toronto Area where it is common to see store signs posted in a language other than English, with most stores in the area offering services to customers in their native language. Facer is home to the Queen Elizabeth Community Centre, St. Joseph's Bakery, the Canadian Polish Society, authentic Italian cafes, credit unions serving the Polish and Ukrainian communities, and a number of churches with bilingual services in a number of different languages.

Lancaster is one of the smallest communities in the city of St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. It borders Regional Road 83 and Grantham Township to the north, Garden City Skyway and Fitzgerald to the south, and Regional Road 48 and Facer to the east.

Denis Morris Catholic High School is a Catholic high school located in St. Catharines, Ontario. The school is administered by the Niagara Catholic District School Board. Denis Morris provides educational programs and services for students with a variety of learning strengths, needs and abilities. Denis Morris is known well for its many exceptional athletes. In the past the Reds have dominated in Ice Hockey, winning SOSSA for many years in a row, Wrestling, having many athletes reaching the OFSAA championship for the past two years, and Canadian Football, winning numerous championship in the history of the school.

Grantham is a neighbourhood in the city of St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. The community is bordered on the west by Geneva Street, on the east by the Welland Canal, on the north by Parnell Road, and on the south by Scott Street. This neighbourhood is composed of mainly low density residential properties. Grantham can be divided into Grantham East and Grantham West with Niagara Regional Road 48 being the dividing line.

St. Catharines is a federal electoral district in the Niagara Region of Ontario, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1968. It consists of the part of the City of St. Catharines lying east and north of a line drawn from Lake Ontario: Courtleigh Road, Third Street Louth, the QEW, Highway 406, First Street Louth, St. Paul Street West, St. Paul Crescent, Twelve Mile Creek, Glendale Avenue, Merrit Street and Glendale Avenue.

The St. Catharines General Hospital was a general hospital established in 1865 in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, serving the Niagara Region. First established as a general and marine cottage hospital, it moved to Queenston Street in 1870. The hospital closed on March 24, 2013, after the opening of a modern hospital on Fourth Avenue.In 2017, Oakdale Inc. purchased the property. Demolition of the hospital commenced in 2019 and was completed in 2020. Some parts of the hospital, such as the decorative arch, were preserved for reconstruction due to their historical value. Bricks from the hospital were sold and the proceeds were donated to the Lincoln County Humane Society. During the demolition, underground tunnels and an underground swimming pool were discovered. One tunnel was connected to a church; another appeared to go underneath Queenston Street, but was covered with bricks.

Governor Simcoe Secondary School named after John Graves Simcoe, is a public high school in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. It is a three-floored school with a theatre attachment. It has an enrollment of about 859 students. Its campus contains a football/soccer/field hockey field and a three-story building. The building includes a full gymnasium with multiple changing rooms with showers, a weight room, an elevator, and a 500-seat auditorium. The school also is fully wheelchair accessible.

St. Catharines is a provincial electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that has been represented in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario since 1967. The riding was redrawn in 1999, when Ontario adjusted all of its provincial electoral divisions to match those already existing at the federal level, and has matched the federal riding since. It currently consists of the part of the City of St. Catharines lying north of a line drawn from west to east along St. Paul Street West, St. Paul Crescent, Twelve Mile Creek, Glendale Avenue, Merrit Street and Glendale Avenue.

The Garden City Skyway is a major high-level bridge located in St. Catharines and Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada, that allows the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) to cross the Welland Canal without the interruption of a lift bridge. Six lanes of traffic are carried across the bridge, which is 2.2 kilometres (1.4 mi) in length and 40 metres (130 ft) at its tallest point. It is the tallest and largest single structure along the entire QEW; the Burlington Bay James N. Allan Skyway, which is also part of the QEW, is actually two separate and smaller four-lane bridges. Among all the bridges spanning the present Welland Canal, the Skyway is numbered Bridge 4A (the Homer Lift Bridge is Bridge 4). When the Garden City Skyway be closed due to a traffic accident or weather conditions, traffic is diverted along frontage roads (Dieppe Road, Dunkirk Road, Glendale Avenue, Queenston Road, Taylor Road and York Road) to cross the canal at the Homer Lift Bridge, re-connecting to the QEW on the opposite side.

Congregation B'nai Israel (Hebrew: בני ישראל) is a Conservative Egalitarian Jewish congregation located in downtown St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. It is the only Conservative synagogue in the Niagara Region. Founded early in the 20th century, its 1905 synagogue building is among the oldest still standing in Canada. Rabbi Moshe Meirovich started leading the community in September 2019.
