Lancaster is one of the smallest communities in the city of St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. It borders Regional Road 83 and Grantham Township to the north, Garden City Skyway and Fitzgerald to the south, and Regional Road 48 and Facer to the east.

Facer is a community in the city of St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the North East part of the city, bounded by the Queen Elizabeth Way and Welland Avenue to the South, Grantham Avenue to the East, Carlton Street to the North and Niagara Street to the West, with Facer Street being the main access road through the community. Facer is home to a vibrant immigrant community dominated by Polish- and Ukrainian-Canadians, with a sizable minority of Italian-Canadians in the east end of the community near Grantham Avenue. It is one of the few areas outside of the Greater Toronto Area where it is common to see store signs posted in a language other than English, with most stores in the area offering services to customers in their native language. Facer is home to the Queen Elizabeth Community Centre, St. Joseph's Bakery, the Canadian Polish Society, authentic Italian cafes, credit unions serving the Polish and Ukrainian communities, and a number of churches with bilingual services in a number of different languages.

St. Catharines is a federal electoral district in the Niagara Region of Ontario, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1968. It consists of the part of the City of St. Catharines lying east and north of a line drawn from Lake Ontario: Courtleigh Road, Third Street Louth, the QEW, Highway 406, First Street Louth, St. Paul Street West, St. Paul Crescent, Twelve Mile Creek, Glendale Avenue, Merrit Street and Glendale Avenue.

St. Catharines is a provincial electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that has been represented in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario since 1967. The riding was redrawn in 1999, when Ontario adjusted all of its provincial electoral divisions to match those already existing at the federal level, and has matched the federal riding since. It currently consists of the part of the City of St. Catharines lying north of a line drawn from west to east along St. Paul Street West, St. Paul Crescent, Twelve Mile Creek, Glendale Avenue, Merrit Street and Glendale Avenue.

Laura Secord Secondary School, also known simply as Laura Secord, is a public secondary school in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. It is located near the corner of Niagara and Carlton Streets. Laura Secord is a part of the District School Board of Niagara (DSBN). The school was founded in 1966.

The St. Catharines General Hospital was a general hospital established in 1865 in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, serving the Niagara Region. First established as a general and marine cottage hospital, it moved to Queenston Street in 1870. The hospital closed on March 24, 2013, after the opening of a modern hospital on Fourth Avenue.In 2017, Oakdale Inc. purchased the property. Demolition of the hospital commenced in 2019 and was completed in 2020. Some parts of the hospital, such as the decorative arch, were preserved for reconstruction due to their historical value. Bricks from the hospital were sold and the proceeds were donated to the Lincoln County Humane Society. During the demolition, underground tunnels and an underground swimming pool were discovered. One tunnel was connected to a church; another appeared to go underneath Queenston Street, but was covered with bricks.

Congregation B'nai Israel (Hebrew: בני ישראל) is a Conservative Egalitarian Jewish congregation located in downtown St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. It is the only Conservative synagogue in the Niagara Region. Founded early in the 20th century, its 1905 synagogue building is among the oldest still standing in Canada. Rabbi Moshe Meirovich started leading the community in September 2019.

The British Methodist Episcopal (BME) Church, Salem Chapel was founded in 1820 by African-American freedom seekers in St. Catharines, Ontario. It is located at 92 Geneva St., in the heart of Old St. Catharines. The church is a valued historical site due to its design, and its important associations with abolitionist activity.The church has a congregation of approximately 20 people, and a Sunday worship service takes place at 11:00 am. Guided tours of the church and museum, which displays original documents, artifacts, and a rare book collection, all associated with the anti-slavery movement, are available by appointment.

St. Catharines Collegiate is a public secondary school in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. It is part of the District School Board of Niagara and is one of the oldest secondary schools in the Niagara region.

The Garden City Arena Complex (formerly the "Gatorade Garden City Complex") was a sports complex in St. Catharines, Ontario. It was the main arena facility in that city from its construction in 1938 until the opening of the Meridian Centre in 2014. The complex housed two arena pads - the Jack Gatecliff Arena, which was home to the Niagara IceDogs from the 2007–2008 to the 2013–2014 seasons, and the smaller Rex Stimers Arena. The original section was constructed in 1938, and was named the Garden City Arena. The facility was later named after local sportswriter Jack Gatecliff after extensive renovations in 1996, that combined the Garden City Arena and Rex Stimers Arena into a single building. The smaller arena was named for Rex Stimers, a popular sportscaster with local radio station CKTB for a period of 32 years beginning in 1934. The complex was renamed the Gatorade Garden City Complex on September 19, 2007 after the naming rights were sold to Gatorade. Upon the expiry of the naming agreement, the complex was renamed the Garden City Arena Complex. The final capacity of the Jack Gatecliff Arena was 3,145, including standing room. Seating capacity in the Rex Stimers Arena was 800 seats. The arena was previously home to the Niagara IceDogs of the OHL, as well as the St. Catharines Jr. B Falcons of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League. The Niagara Icedogs moved into the new Meridian Centre for the 2014–15 season. Upon the arenas closure in 2022 the Falcons moved into the already existing Seymour-Hannah Sports and Entertainment Centre for the 2022-23 season. From 1982 to 1986 it was home to Toronto Maple Leafs farm team the St. Catharines Saints of the American Hockey League.

Grantham Township is a former incorporated and now geographic township on the Niagara Peninsula in Upper Canada, later Ontario.In 1961, part of it was amalgamated into the city of St. Catharines. In 1970, the remaining portion was amalgamated into the new Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Grantham Township was originally called Township No. 3, while surveying was first taking place from 1787 until 1789. Every lot in this new township was 100 acres in size, for a total of 230 lots. The Butler's Rangers and United Empire Loyalist were some of the first residents; with both groups receiving the land for free.

The FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre is a 95,000-square-foot (8,800 m2) cultural complex located in downtown St. Catharines, Ontario. It opened in 2015 as the result of a partnership between the City of St. Catharines and Brock University, which share the venue for production, performance and learning purposes. Designed by Diamond Schmitt Architects to host a variety of international and local performing artists, it comprises four separate venues: a 770-seat concert hall (Partridge Hall), 300-seat recital hall, 210-seat multi-purpose dance/theatre venue (Robertson Theatre), and the 199-seat Film House. The creation of the centre spurred a cultural and economic renaissance in downtown St. Catharines along with neighbouring its neighbouring Meridian Centre and Brock University's Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts.
